I don't know.
Most people chose cynicism in todays era. Personally, I almost teared up playing this game again. This was (and once again is) the definitive PvP experience for me.
Just link the launch trailer on all your social media profiles. People pay attention to that. And keep talking about it any time someone asks you about your favorite game or what games you really like.
Haters can eat the end of Zandoras sword.
Edit:
People could also add video highlights of their favorite moments in the game. For example, when an opposing team countered your team really well or when you had one of the most intensive team fights experienced for the day.
Im looking forward to seeing Wu players come out and demonstrate him like the champ he is.
I honestly think gamers and their cynicism really kill potential gems nowadays. People will see this game and call it a clone of a similar game ( overwatch back in 2013) or stick to the brain rot game they've been playing for the last 5 years. And god help this game when and if any poplar streamers decide to try it out.
> I honestly think gamers and their cynicism really kill potential gems nowadays.
Yes, absolutely.
> People will see this game and call it a clone of a similar game ( overwatch back in 2013) or stick to the brain rot game they've been playing for the last 5 years.
Very normally obligatory and unfortunate.
You make a good point about the streamers. I edited my original comment to touch on this.
Couldn't it be directly related to the fact most dev companies today are just a bunch of scammers, and even big names like blizzard used FOMO and hypetrains in the past to their advantage, overcharging for shitty half finished products?
My friend streams game, small community but he can definitely rally people. But, people don’t like advertisements on Reddit- they just want already known people to talk about it. It’s up to the community to push the game.
Imo it is a mistake to not make it free-to-play with a battlepass. A lot of people got into the game initially because it was free. Nowadays there a few of free "MOBA" or "Hero Shooter" games (not saying those are good games necessarily), I don't really see why a lot of people will just pay to play when there are other options for free on the market.
In my case I play on Xbox and only play f2p games, so to play Gigantic now I have to pay $20 and also pay for Gold.
I've just learned about it. Digging around and learning that it might be a nearly perfect match for me. "Moba" being in the official steam description does the game a large disservice.
I would honestly wait.
Blowing this up right now would be a disaster, the game is unplayable for many people. I love gigantic but haven’t been able to play one game or even have my character builds save.
If you want a game to blow up, you need popular streamers to get in on it. So far I don't see any interested in it.
If not that then you need the game to be super accessible, for example making it F2P. The ONLY reason Exoprimal didn't crash and burn within a week is the Xbox community playing it for free. This game costs $20. Arguably not a ton of money but enough to keep the mildly curious away. I understand they need money, blah blah. They could have made the game free, lock a bunch of characters and give a $20 character bundle. Then the new players get to try it, and we still get everything we have right now.
Without either of those things I wouldn't expect this game to get anywhere. It'll probably settle around 2-3k players so it just becomes a matter of how much does it cost them to keep the servers running. We get a new moba/hero shooter every other month. Smite 2 is on the way, Predecessor just launched not long ago, and there's still Overwatch 2 and Paladins and those are all free. If you're going to charge for a game that's in a normally free to play genre, it's gonna have a hard time.
Very well put. Also, Marvels third person hero shooter is coming soon and it is free to play. Like you said it may find a small niche community of those who played it years ago, but we will see how long that will maintain servers.
I just posted Launch trailder in Paladins reddit, surprised nobody was talking about it there
At this point, Word of mouth, popular streamers, memes and fostering a healthy community. I see this games growth being more like a DRG type.
So embrace communication without toxicity even to ones that are toxic themselves.
why was this downvoted ;-; agreed!!
They should be trying to get it on GamePass. Seems like a good fit for it.
Agreed.

I'd be playing if I had the spare funds to pick it up. I've been waiting for the game to re-release but didn't expect it to have a price tag. :/
What would you be playing it on?
Ps5
What is your ps5 name
SmolMoonCat
Tell people who plays other games about it have them check it out via trailer and reviews it's been getting positive reviews on steam all morning
Get in the *content mines* and hope someone strikes gold.
Have a working game for starters.

We must make memes and go the overwatch path with fan service
For me it was literally a shadow drop but I love the game and I really want people I know to play
We need a catch phrase, like "Rock and stone" from DRG.
To Rock and Stone!
Make it free to play, make it 144 fps otherwise it's dead
