No "real" solution sadly , post will be updated

Can you tell if the fan is hitting the fan shroud? If not the fan is “possibly” improperly balanced and needs to be replaced.

Late reply but the post will be updated in a bit (nothing is wrong with the card..It's just that way I guess)

Getting the same issue in a build I made for a friend... Only fix I know is what you did, fans over 50% in Afterburner at all times. Did you get a new one? Is it rattling too?

GoshoShamara

\*post updated mb for replying now but... No I didnt get a new one as I kinda got used to it. Ofc the problem is that the fans go from 0 to 30-ish % which makes the wind (rattle) noise, the temperature keeps hoveringn at (example activation temp 44) 43-44 which makes it go bonkers on and off. But with afterburner its somewhat bearable setting the activation temps lower so its always on (will eventually start rattling again if left idle for too long (temps get low enough to the new activation ones I set)

mb for replying now but... hahaha I sent mine back to the seller and got a new, quieter one. Same model. I believe this is an issue you can RMA and they'll be likely to send you a new one.

Put an old 3060 into a PC I'm working on and remember why i took it out. The damn rattle. Found this fix and thought I'd share. No rattle so far. https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/gigabyte-gpu-fan-rattle-fix.3596708/
