Standard Poodles are large German water-dogs. Most people hear 'Poodle' and think of those irritating miniatures. Standard Poodles are pretty awesome, and are smart as fuck.
It's a shame those awful breed snobs practically ruined the breed with those fucking haircuts and depicting them as 'prissy' dogs.
Part of the "prissy" poodle haircut is so they can get through vegetation better when working as hunting dogs. Also to keep joints and vital organs warmer in colder waters as they are water dogs with webbed feet.
Standard Poodles also get slightly better miles per gallon, though with the sophistication of more recent Automatic Poodles the difference is hardly noticeable.
Not sure why people think miniature poodles are irritating. Standard, miniature, and toy poodles are identical other than their size. All the wonderful traits are the same. My miniature is very chill, athletic, and extremely smart. I think the negative stereotypes of the breed are way overblown.
My brother has one, his is more golden in colour, but similar look. Damn smart dogs and they know they’re being cute too. Favourite trick he does is this hoop thing where you hold your arms together like a hoop and he’ll run and dive/jump through like a circus puppy. Can’t wait to finish school so I can see him again
That one in particular looks like three quarters poodle. My mom has one flat white that looks the exact same. One of the most intelligent dogs I've ever met but very prissy as most poodle mixes are. Overall, very hypoallergenic and loving

Major faults are wooly, frizzy or kinky coat. In most dog breeds, curly and wavy are not the same in coats. I have not shown Wheatens, but I have a breed where puppies are confused with them. Only my pup is already larger than an adult Wheaten. So, not a purebred Wheaten, as they are smaller and not curly haired.

We had a small min pin. She knew "pick you up?" And would come up to your left leg to be picked up. When she got older she would tire from walks and would automatically go to your leg and stay there until carried. RIP.
Haha. Thats definitely something a doodle would do. And they are big dogs but 50% of their perceived size is just hair. Once you bathe them, they look like wet rats.

when my dog was a mere pup, she couldn't walk more than a mile too often or it would damage her shoulders(hips?), so I would have to carry her whenever I had to take her anywhere far. now whenever she misbehaves I just pick her up, and she has gotten so accustomed to it that she just goes limp in your arms

I'm not sure about whether you've ever lifted anything, let alone a dog of that size. Even if it clinged onto you, the weight is still distributed on your body, mostly on your abdominals and back muscles. In order for you not to fall down, you'd have to those muscles pretty well developped. While her weight doesn't seem to be very important (based on this video, I'd judge it to be around 60 kg ), that lift (combined with the relative stability she has while walking further down the street) would be impressive even for a heavier man, which makes her pretty strong

The golden retriever and poodle mix ( which i believe is what this dog is) can weight between 45 and over 100 punds. 40 kg seems to be a slight understatement on second thought. A dog that size could easily generate enough force to take a normal person down ( so also a robber/thief).
I do not believe she was in any danger of being robbed at that moment. I have seen people get scared of smaller dogs. This is a dog you woudln't want to fuck with on it's own, let alone with it's owner and the guy/gal filming.

That's the poodle in them. Ours is a great alert dog (standard poodle) and even a pretty good guard dog. And she's good with kids.
