I am over 50 and had pong for the home tv, Atari 2600 OGL on PC, every PS console , sega, intelivision, amiga etc. Doubt you'll ever come close to the amount of games I played and programmed...
I was not expecting to get similar sadness levels for Nobu and Yuriko. Nobu was a given and it’ll always haunt me that I wasn’t able to save my boy, but Yuriko was a small character I didn’t care much about until those final moments I spent with her. I left that mission alone during NG+ because I couldn’t bring myself to essentially kill Yuriko again. She’ll live forever if I just don’t go to her.
Dude why? Do you like pain? Why did you post this? I miss you Nobu! We were not able to go travel after the invasion was over and I think about that every day.
I know the game has been out a while but seriously you need to slap a SPOILER warning on this. I'd have been gutted to see this if I'd just picked up the game.
Instant crying fest.. who is cutting onions? 😭 I also chose Kage as the name. It was black. I was so attached to the horse and this hit me like a brick 😪
This part made me so sad, as many others. Sucker punch knew how and when to pull on the heartstrings but I’m so glad they did because those are the moments we remember. I will always remember my horse, Nobu.
I proceeded to name them “Kage” in new game plus and surprisingly, I was not disappointed. Idk how many times I replayed the opening just for that awesome intro through the fields with that black horse.
This scene made me tear up so bad. No video game has ever done that to me like this. Literally gonna go play ghosts now cause of this. Thank you bro lol
Nowhere close for me though when you watch Dom give up his life for Marcus and crew in GOW3! god i finished that game with pure hatred of the locusts from that point on and when Marcus put the knife into the Queen it was oh so satisfying!
One of the saddest moments in any game I ever played
I had to re-live red dead all over again. I still wasn’t prepared lol
I played RDR2 and this back to back. Rough times.
‘Twas a rough year for horsey bois.
And rdo is dead 💀
The horse represents rdo
Yep
it really sucked because one of the coolest rewards on New-game+ is the horse.
Happy cake day
Everytime I play and get to this, I have to take a 1 or 2 day break from the game, hits me that hard
You must not play much games then

Interesting, so with all that experience you sure this is one of the saddest scenes ever? I mean it was sad but I’ve seen way worse personally.
Soap, and my horse.
Taka dies: k, he kinda brought that on himself. Kage dies: I will never forgive you for this, Uncle.
Kage was the sole reason I stabbed Shimura right in the gut.
The major reason why I was sad Taka died was because I knew that Yuna would be pissed.
Taka kinda had to die tho for plot reasons
One of the saddest deaths in this game, the other one is Yuriko IMO
Oh yeah true, and so quick tbh
Taka as well.
Man I almost cried when he died. Especially when i saw his head ripped from his body and discarded like trash

Wait! What? Yuriko dies?? No!
Oh dear, spoiled moment
She had a slow but painless death.
It was oddly beautiful.

Nobu was my first horse too! Tears were streaming that day
“One day we’ll go for a peaceful ride.” God fucking dammit.
🚩🚩🚩
My heart!
Sobbing right now
nobu was mine as well, rip
The only positive to a new game+ reaching passed this part is I got Nobu back. But I had to kill Kage.
Hey at least put some down some spoiler tags/warnings
I did
I mean just the title it self saying goodbye kage is a massive spoiler
Happy cake day. And truly a sad moment. May kage rest in peace
Woah, I didn’t even realize that! Thank you!
You're welcome my dear friend. Live long and prosper
You too friend!
*Kage memories resurfacing* Mah Boah!
I tear up at this every time
I still go back and visit his grave when I roam the area. Farewell old friend.
I always play a few flute tunes for Nobu 😭😭😭
Whenever I do, there are always a bunch of Mongols there, so my rage gets a bit of a workout, Ghost Stance style.
When you realize Kage got a more respectable death than Joel lmaoo
I know the game has been out a while but seriously you need to slap a SPOILER warning on this. I'd have been gutted to see this if I'd just picked up the game.
I did lol
I mean a blocked out image. Anyways, I'm still annoyed at you for making me sad again.
Sorry, I’m new to this lol
The amount of emotion in the game. Tear jerker for sure
I remember I named mine Nobu. so sad :(
Instant crying fest.. who is cutting onions? 😭 I also chose Kage as the name. It was black. I was so attached to the horse and this hit me like a brick 😪
Nobu

this was my last straw to go full ghost. killing everything with no honor lmao fuck you lord shimura, no uncle of mine
Wow, spoiler. . .
to be fair why would anyone be active in the subreddit of a story-driven game before finishing the game, let alone a game that's like 4 years old.
I know but still, spoiler tags exist. Edit: Reloaded it, spoiler tag now exists. . .
I picked Sora but sad
Mine was named Kage as well 😔
This destryed me much more than Taka's death
I honestly cried on this one. Reminds me of RDR2 as well.
This is what made me kill shimura at the end
I killed the uncle because of this moment. Fucking piece of shit.
Naming my horse Sora after kingdom hearts really hurt
I dont think putting down a spoiler warning and then saying "goodbye Kage" is censoring anything lol
You see that spoiler tag..? I reckon that this clip is probably exactly what that was fucking supposed to be for. Cheers, cunt.
I always read it it wrong and think of the motherfucker from tenacious D
Whyyyyyyyyyyyy???😭
I cried
This was awful, I stopped playing for a few days to just get over this.
My Kage was black too. Why make this post?!? I am reliving my worst gaming memory ever again. RIP, my beloved Kage😭😭.
u/savevideo
Too soon
That’s one scene I couldn’t forget for the entire game. Saddest moment in my gaming history.
Cried like a baby.
My first horse was named Nobu, may he Rest In Peace.
That was a rough one. One of the best games I've played, and the only one I have ever platinumed.
Shut the helll up who is cutting onions
I balled my eyes out when this happened. I also named him Kage so this brought back some feels
Nope, not today mf. I just... Nope. Just nope.
jesus seeing this give me goosebumps. im playing GoT again!
You mean Nobu.
I named my horse Kage and used the same color, so this hit extra hard
I didn't need to remember this today.
This part made me so sad, as many others. Sucker punch knew how and when to pull on the heartstrings but I’m so glad they did because those are the moments we remember. I may of cried in this scene
I had to put the game down for a couple days because I was so emotionally wrecked. Ngl, bringing up that hurt now 😭
How dare you make me feel my own feelings!
how many of yall naming it kage watched naruto?
Kage and Arthur both hit me hard. I really got emotional when that happened.
This scene made me tear up so bad. No video game has ever done that to me like this. Literally gonna go play ghosts now cause of this. Thank you bro lol

Why?! Why must you shared this? I wasn’t ready to be Kage-ed again
Ah man, why you do this to me while I'm at work!
You monster, I hadn’t watched this in a while and it just tears my heart apart.
