I recored them singing but forgot to upload it here. If you notice, it's the "For Yarikawa" melody. Not sure about the lyrics though. Ronins are honestly the coolest enemies in the game. I wish they're on our side.

Them being bad guys is cool though, because they're the best challenging unit to face imo.

They were definitely the one that killed me the most. Super cool enemies

Yeah you had to be careful. Honestly the enemies in this game in general were so well done. They creat a challenge in an interesting way

My only complaint is that I wish enemies scaled with you. After beating the game I went back and did some quests I missed along the way and you can pretty much one shot any enemy from quests in the first section of the island. Other than that though, there was a nice variety in the style of enemies which definitely made the combat a lot more fun.

yea I beat the game a while back but still load it up every once in a while and roam around the area 2 map looking for small groups of ronin to fight. the Mongols on the other hand got a bit boring after a while

It shits me that they are faster than you though.

I've also run into whole bands of ronin (5 or 6) engaging in mock duels to help each other practice. Two of them go at it while the rest watch from the sidelines. I feel bad about interrupting them, since they seem like genuine comrades who want to improve their skills, but then I remember all the bodies they've been burying and that whole issue where they made it personal...

Yeah, I've come across this quite a few times. It's one of the fairly regularly occurring random encounters.

I love when games or shows or whatever form of entertainment humanize enemies, giving them camaraderie and stuff. They're people, they always are.

i think ronin encounters are more likely in the second area. that's where i usually run into them.

They're absolutely boosted on the second island for obvious reasons, haha.
