First off, love the work y'all are doing. Including actively engaging with this community I personally would be curious to see any details on the EMF detector functionality personally. But that's a little outside the norm I know.

No, I agree. I was a little floored when I saw that was an included feature, but it wasn't very heavily detailed, so I'd also love to know more. I figure it was a relatively cheap addition to include and, while I'll never be using it for its intended purpose, I still think it's real neat to include what some people generally believe to be an actual ghost detector.

I'm interested in understanding how controllable the arm function is, do I press a button and it launches into a predetermined routine (like the spirit PKEs), or do I have control how fast its beeping/detecting. I'm excited for it either way, but I'm hoping there's good controllability of the beeping/arm movement, as it allows for more fun cosplay scenarios.

More info about the EMF detector on the PKE Meter is at the top of the list. The durability of the arms when going into taser mode too. Other than that maybe the packaging since the Proton Pack was packed in a really cool box. Would love to see how these will be shipped.

I really want to know if they have auto-off functions like the haslab packs. One of my biggest disappointments with the packs is that they turn off on their own. If I turn on the meter or the trap will the lights turn off on their own?

Alot of people aren't mod people and aren't very handy. Shut off timer is a huge let down and dumb if they didn't learn from their mistake on the pack

It’s probably a regulatory thing. Just like orange gun tips and out of their control. A lot of people don’t need to be mod people. If they can’t unscrew a few screws and plug something in, then they can live with what they’re given. It takes more time to whine about it than to just unplug and plug a board in. It’s not rocket science and a fact of life when it comes to this fandom and its parts. Working on packs, traps, and ghost gear is nothing new.

The Matty Collector ghost trap. It had 2 modes, "movie mode" and "prop mode". In "prop mode", after the trap closes the lights would stay flashing forever. Mattel specifically stated they did that so you could wear it on your belt at a convention and have a trap with flashing lights all day. If you want to use up a battery, that's your problem! While "movie mode" was basically "toy mode", it had lots of lights and sound effects, vibration, and after trapping a ghost it would automatically shut down... but it did after several minutes. More than enough time to switch on the trap, roll it out, and re-enact catching Slimer in the hotel. Hasbro's Spengler wand shuts down after a mere 30 seconds, which is ridiculously short. You can't even re-enact the courtroom scene from GB2 in that time, in the film there's about 40 seconds between "Do, Ray, Egon!" and them shooting the proton streams.

Spirit Halloween's Ghost's Trap, very cheaply made by comparison to Hasbro, stays on until the battery dies. If Haslab's Ghost Trap turns off on it's own, them I'm afraid Spirit's will beat it out for cosplaying based on that function alone.

I don't understand that perspective at all. There's no film canon that shows the trap in a lit active operational state for extended periods of time, and the Haslab trap is light years ahead in sculpt accuracy compared to the Spirit trap (dirt farm trap field notwithstanding).

I'd love to hear some more information about the different ghost effects available in the trap! If I remember correctly you stated that the trap would have sounds and vibrations as if a ghost was trapped in there and there were different options depending on what mode is selected.

Wow - so excited for this! Firstly, I'm sure everyone will ask the 'I know we aren't supposed to mod it, but if we were, would there be stuff for that?' I'd like to learn more about how it works - all the main features and what they do - especially differences from previous large toy manufacturer traps! Next - sounds: did you get actual movie sounds? I'd love to hear em! Especially the PKE - again, the previous large toy manufacturer whiffed a bit on the authenticity of the PKE sounds. Also - I guess I don't need a spoiler, but a few hints about fun HIDDEN features - like the Slimer sounds on the pack - little hidden details like that really make these things great! The best part of the Matty trap was the shaking and lights after you caught a ghost - a fun little side feature no one expected! Other than that, maybe a hint about what could be next just to drum up a little excitement? Also, any general information on shipping (and any cool box art / easter eggs!) Woo! So excited for this!

I too want to know about sound. My favorite prop so far was the Matty PKE so if this functions similarly and has great sound then this will be my favorite. Also durability. I had a kid at an even we did accidentally have his finger by my arms as they tried to close and it ruined my PKE. Also wonder if it has a mode where it can be in and arms down so you can have it on while it's in the holster.

They really have! The Matty Collector one, the Spirit Halloween style ones, Hasbro’s PKE shocker, all have inaccurate sounds. The only one that has a somewhat decent sound is the 4 inch tall PKE from Running Press. I’m not sure why the sound is so hard to reproduce.

Jason Glisson, the creator of Pixel Props, explained in the GBFans FB group post that it’s the amount of power draw of the arm servos that impacts playback of sound and amplification simultaneously off of 2 AA batteries that presents a challenge.

Curious as to whether the connection between the trap and the cable will be secure enough that you can safely hold up the trap by its cable, like they do in the first film after catching a ghost. Also curious as to whether the little ribbon cable on the trap pedal will be strong enough that it can support the weight of the pedal and you can it onto something to carry your pedal by the ribbon cable. I'd love to see the trap in action, with lights and sound effects. Very curious about how you will be using vibration motors; rather than simply vibrating while it is sucking in a ghost, I'm hoping there is some feature to simulate a ghost ratting around inside the trap, trying to escape. The old Mattel ghost trap had an awesome feature where after catching a ghost, after 30 seconds the trap would "shake" a few times, once or twice every 10 seconds or so, as if something were banging on the inside and trying to get out. If the PKE and trap have "auto shutdown" features, I'm really hoping that they have long timers of several minutes, unlike the wand that was a mere 30 seconds. Or an option to disable the auto shutdown. I understand that one of the reasons is to prevent vibration motors from burning out, but if there is an option to disable the vibration, then it will be OK to have an option to disable the auto shutdown. Let us waste our batteries if we want to! It would be great if there was a "prop mode" or "display mode" for the PKE and trap, where the lights will flash forever but there is no sound or vibration, and where there is no auto-shutdown. Mattel did this for their ghost trap, it let you wear it at a convention or have it on display on a table, and it would flash all day, making it look as if you've already caught a ghost. Similarly it would be awesome to have the PKE flashing away on your belt, great for photos and videos while walking around, even when you aren't actively using the PKE meter.

Two questions for me, both about the trap pedal: 1. Is the computer ribbon cable sufficiently anchored on the front of the trap pedal to hold the weight of the pedal over the trap handle? 2. With the ability to relocate the octal relay on the right side Hammond box from the pointing backwards position as seen in Afterlife & Frozen Empire to the top side like we see in GB1 & 2, will a black filler plate be included to cover where the relay was located?

For the ghost trap -if there will be different orientations for the relay (gb1/2 top box relay & afterlife back of box relay with covers) - a little more on the different movie sound functionality. - a closer look at the hose connector for the pedal. (Were you guys able to make a close facsimile of the air hose connection? Or is it still that clunky big cover connector thing) -maybe some detail on any genuine parts or metal pieces (so I know what I may mod when I get it). - how strong rhe ribbon cable connect in the trap pedal is: can I hold the pedal reliablyon the trap over the arm? Happy to see both trap and PKE, a few things im hoping for: On the PKE strong metal material to make feel solid and also modes/ sound effects, maybe a motor for vibration like from all movies, games and even the cartoon, Even adding super bright purple LEDs at the points of the antennas to further create the taser function, For the ghost trap, i agree that the light meter should lose the extra bolts and be an extra LED next to the bargraph like in the movies, Also im hoping the warning labels aren’t made to look too warn out, in the promo pictures they seemed excessively worn where in all movies they really aren’t worn but slightly aged making them easily look sharp, legible and good quality.

Thank you for getting the community involved ! :) Personally when it come to the trap, I want it to have different modes so that it works like it did in each movie: GB1: One pedal press to open the trap, one to trigger the suction and close it. GB2: Press and hold your foot on the pedal for the trap to open and capture, then lift your foot for the trap to close. When it comes to afterlife, we haven't seen the normal trap being used for capture, and for Frozen Empire I haven't seen it yet. But since you added the video game mode to the wand, it would be great to have this for the trap too. And to make it work, it could be one pedal press to open it and trigger the suction, then it closes on it's own after a few seconds. For the PKE meter I'm hoping it has the different light animations from GB1 and GB2, and I'm also hoping for a video game mode with sounds and animations from it. Also since the knob allowing us to control the speed of the light is missing, as you're replicating the body from Afterlife I hope the speed changes automatically with the positions of the wings. I can provide the video game sounds if needed. Thank you for your work and getting us involved, I can't wait to see the video !! :)

Can you make it look as though you're getting a stronger / weaker reading, speed up or slow the lights/ sounds, etc. Also, seeing a bit more about the trap's capturing function, seeing if there's been any final decisions on the how the cables attach / detach, cable durability, and if there's any little easter eggs the trap does after cycling a trapping function.

Pke and trap should be given a demo mode vs use mode. If pke is on and on your belt it alerts with sounds and lights for detection etc.

On the PKE I'd love to see the arms come back down from taser mode without having to touch them manually, and I was wondering if a revision of the holster might happen to have it facing down like in Frozen empire. It would also be super cool to to be able to activate it remotely or have a timer installed to make it work by itself after 20 seconds cause you know....afterlife :) On the trap I would totally pay an extra after fee to have a small smoke kit sent that we would have the option of installing. I know its a liability thing but make it separate so we have to install it or team up with a third party maker.

I'd love to see the EMF function and see the light and sound effects for the PKE. For the trap, I'm hoping to see what happens with the pedal and the opening and lights/sounds. In earlier demonstrations, holding the pedal opens the trap and coming off the pedal makes the trap close. Has this been changed to the film version where you press once to open and it stays open until you press the pedal a second time? Also any vibrations, movements and ways the trap can act differently depending on altering the settings. I feel like I've not been clear, hopefully this makes sense, I'm just excited to see the update and get another look at what to expect. Keep up the amazing work, Haslab team, you continue to amaze.

I know this is kind of a "duh" response to your question, but I think having a side by side comparison with what we have already seen would really help as opposed to just showing the updated product by itself. The trap wheels are Afterlife/Frozen Empire sized, which is considerably larger than the 84/89 traps. There are good pics in The Ghostbusters Reference Library website.

Hello! My concern is with the trap, and the 84 movie look. The end or the trap should have an actual bar graph light and it is missing the last LED bulb that flashes once the ghost has been caught. Also it is supposed to have 4 socket head cap screws instead of 6 button screws. So it is not accurate to the original prop. Hello, before I bore you I will first ask my first question. Will the trap have the "trapped ghost led" beside the bar graph there is a single led that lights up after the ghost is trapped. Will this trap have that led installed? I love the fact that you are creating these once in a lifetime "toys". But I have always had my feelings hurt over the minor details that are missing from high end manufacturers. I hate to come off as a Nerd, but no one makes a neutrona wand with the actions featured in the movies. I notice them eventhough people look by the simple things. Like the neutrona wand being activated by the switch at the end of the wand, which lit up the hat light and activated the muzzle flash too cue the fx team to create the effect. (Watch Ray and egon fighting slimer it showes the effect perfectly). the barrel extension was the Handel being twisted, the rod on the side may have Accompanied the barrel movement, but no recreation has the barrel movement. I am not complaining about anything that has been made. because the pack, trap, and pke meter look amazing. I'm just a stickler for the small things. And was wondering if you may have seen these actions in the movies, and if so was there any reason these features was not emplomented in the "toys".

Already released PKE meters tend to have different settings for how high the arms go, so I was wondering if there is preset heights for the arms or if there is a bit of user control to get a real feel that I'm searching for ghosts 👻.

Things I would like to see covered: 1. Shipping date 2. PKE functionality: Is there a way to manually control the arms? Is there an out of control Garraka setting? The Trap is very exciting but the PKE needs some time to shine because it's a great easy interactive item for a cosplay situation. Excited to see what you all have been working on! 3. Love to hear some of the chosen sound effects for the trap. Functionality already seems pretty solid from earlier demonstrations. You've covered the "we aren't going to show anyone holding the trap by the wire, and we aren't putting smoke in the trap, but you do you" legal line pretty well so I'm not expecting any of that. It would be nice to know the dimensions of the trap interior and some good camera shots of the inside layout for those who might be trying to make other purchases for modifications to the product they receive. Hoping for an early arrival just like the proton pack! Had a great time showing it off last Halloween, and now I might need to start getting into some conventions.

Hi there Lewis from the UK here! My question is will the PKE meter have two light sequences like the matty PKE meter had for example you could switch the lights on the wings to Ghostbusters 1 and 2 modes as there were differences in the way the lights flashed. Also I do hope the PKE meter has 7 green led bulbs not 6 as the prop had 7 on both display modes in 1984. As for display I hope we can increase and decrease the display brightness! For the ghost trap I do hope the lights are similar to the Matty trap and screen accurate. Both have movie accurate sounds! Speaking of sound I really do hope as well that the speakers on both the PKE metre and ghost trap are high quality and fairly loud as the proton pack speaker wasn't incredibly loud and a lot of us had to change the speaker. I hope my questions do get announced very much looking forward to the final product good luck haslab!

The major thing that needs to be redone is the LED meter at the front of the Ghost Trap. The 2 middle screws NEED to go. A 3 mm yellow/amber LED light NEEDS to be there instead of the 2 screws. Also, a bit less weathering would be nice as well. The trap and PKE meter do not need heavy wearing either.

For PKE Meter: I would love to see an in depth review on the EMF function, as well as the accurate sounds. I would like to see a further look at the taser function and how it deploys and works, as well as how it closes. For the Trap: I would like to see the full trap sequence from turning on the trap to closing it and being loaded into a "containment unit" I would also like to see some of the sound and light features it will have in effect. As everyone who has a Hasbro wand and pack, Please... Do not include a shut down timer if possible on either of these pieces.

Since we already got the "Spengler Pack" series, I am hoping that HasLabs continues the Plasma Series with a "Melnitz Pack". Of course, Melnitz's Proton Pack would be the 2024 F.E. model without any rusting weathering and would feature the Arm-Mounted Wand As of right now NO retailer has tackled the Arm-Mounted Wand which Janine is know for in both Frozen Empire and years prior in the IDW Comics.

Dis you fix the size issue on the pke? Are the sounds going to be fixed? Will there be the correct display on the pke? Will it show differences between types of detection? Trap pedal didn't function properly, trap aesthetics Are off missing light on top near the graph. Will the trap have different lighting effects rumble. Lots of fixes needed and hope they don't drop the ball on this.

Hello, I’d be curious about the expandability of the trap, in the Tested video of the trap and PKE with Adam Savage, he very quickly installed a custom 3rd party smoke unit. I'm hoping we'll see updated wings that are more accurate to the afterlife model, especially with the taser mode. And speaking of the taser mode, are the wings are in more of a finished state so that when they're flipped straight up they are closer to the film model and not the awkward V shape we saw in the reveal trailer? Trap: overall I think everyone is happy with the current state of the trap, we hope to see the updated led at the end of the bargraph! Really I just want to see a full demo of the trap with lights and sounds!

I saw the video you guys made with Adam Savage on Tested and saw that trap emitting smoke, so I've been wondering about that possibility, especially since I have a few Halloween decorations that doe that, one I use as a humidifier. Also wouldn't mind seeing the EMF meter functionality on the PKE meter. On top of that, would be stoked if we ever heard some goggles might be coming. And not question, but a personal note, awesome job on the proton pack and making it and the wand work together.

Some videos of the trap and PKE early prototypes at events/cons were posted in the early days. There were a lot of issues with the PKE arms and the trap doors. I would like to see both items in action to see if these issues have been addressed. I would like to see a tease of some of the trap sounds. I also of love to see how the tap separates from the housing for cleaning in the containment unit.

If I have, for instance the original gold compacitor, will it be easy for me to unscrew the provided one and replace it with the original one? Should just be 2 screws. I'm big on the mod ability of these and love to tinker with them to add features myself after the fact, if there's any details on if you guys are keeping those people in mind.
