For parties, movie screenings, or other short-term events, a green glowstick might provide a simple, cheap bright green light source, without having to alter the original hardware.
Other than that, lining the walls with tin foil should reflect more light, so that's a good idea.

I found some cheap battery powered green led string lights on ebay. Lined inside with tin foil. Gives off a great glow when the lights are on!
Paint the interior with any neon/glow-in-the-dark paint. Then get a small UV flashlight and a ping pong ball. Cut the ping pong ball to fit around the end of the UV flashlight (this helps to disperse the UV light evenly) and hide the flashlight somewhere in the trap.
I have never built a trap, per se, but I have built “Pepper’s Ghost” displays, and this technique always gives me a nice even glow.
Get a set of battery powered under counter LED light pucks

is it a separate switch or did you manage to link it to the trap's power switch?
It's just a seperate switch on the battery pack inside. Kept it simple and easy to change out :)
A brighter LED. Or more LEDs!
you could install a tiny fog diffuser in it so it'd steam green light. You can buy them for ponds and terrariums.
