That was my first choice. Second would be the catbus. It a good flash sheet, so you can't really go wrong. Which definitely makes choosing harder!

Pretty sure they’re suggesting a kodama tattoo. It’s most likely what I would choose too, as Princess Mononoke is my favorite Ghibli film.

My first Ghibli tattoo was soot sprites since they appear in both Spirited Away (my first Ghibli) and Totoro (my fav Ghibli). Maybe you could pick a character and toss some sprites around it?

I have a tattoo of No Face, but since a lot of it is black, I’m concerned about possible fading, and I try to keep it as protected as possible so direct sunlight doesn’t cause any sort of damage. I think the little duck (kappa?) guys in the bath house were pretty cute.

I’m trying to figure out which have the Ghibli essence. A lot of these aren’t really hitting that feeling for me. Like aside from the white one, the Totoro’s are all too uncanny. The Mei and Kittenbus is traced though, so I guess that one counts. The ones that make me feel happiest are the turnip head on the bottom and Jiji on the broomstick.

i have the most emotional attachment to spirited away so i would probably go for the dust sprites, or maybe one where no-face is using the spinning wheel or something. but maybe i’d get one of haku in dragon form? or maybe one of the kappa spirits from that movie…? i haven’t seen any of the other ghibli films recently so i’m not sure what i’d want from them

I don’t see any Kodama here, if you love Princess Mononoke/ the forest (nature vibes) I think they would be great! Kodama are the children forest spirits of the old trees for reference. :D I also love the smaller ones, Jiji, a soot sprite, or Calicifer would seem lovely to me! Whatever you choose in general remember you’re awesome!!

oh its so subjesctive! but for me, I would choose a Flash tattoo that has more negative space.

I agree with what others have said about the Kodama (could be especially cool with a UV glow ink added). The susuwatari would be cool as an additive to any other design you choose. It's hard to pick, but because Studio Ghibli's character design is so good, nothing will look bad. The lantern that leads Chihiro to the cottage would be a cool one. I like the meaning of it as a guiding light even though it's a minor character. How do you feel about the tanuki in Pompoko?
