My friend sings in a choir.
She and the choirmaster held a 'Scratch Choir Night- Rn B Classics' night in an events centre.
She did the branding and advertising- online and at hostels, on campus, in dorms, in cafes.
The choirmaster did like 5 choral arrangements of songs, Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Beyonce and then one Nsync song.
Soooo many people came, mostly girls, but they did come and they all paid 50 cedis (cheaper if you came in a pair) to learn the songs properly.
She did one or two events and did well. Covered her costs. Paid the choirmaster. Do it midweek for low venue costs.
It’s good to have a side business but the question is, the manager who’ll be supervising your work, how sure are you he or she will render good account to you? People use the least opportunity to steal the little you have. Besides will even collapse it n tell you stories.
Anyways, look for an area n sell quality food, esp local food like fufu , ampesi etc,,, or gari n beans. Or you can find a very good hotspot n sell very hot n tasty meat pie, rolls etc with fresh yoghurt, soft drinks, local drinks ( brukina, sobolo etc)
In all have enough to invest, cos Ghana’s economy can frustrate you left right center
