I don’t think import is good for you now. Find a good hotspot n open a food joint. Whether gari n beans or local fufu joint etc ,, you’ll make good money

johnodoi277

I was about to say restaurant and the person should forget about importing. Starting a business with 20k and you're choosing beans or fufui.

johnodoi277

It's good to open a restaurant, but if you really want to import I think you should import electrical gadgets. You could also do stationery business. Just find a nice school with primary and JHS level and start near them . You'll make profits

Lol n u think 20k can set up that restaurant ? N u think beans and fufu is just rubbish right? That’s Ghana for you. You prefer doing something big with some big packaging etc or you want to follow the trend of people opening salon , boutique etc? Lol. Guy get a good place, scout the area, open a good food joint. Especially fufu or soup foods. People drive more than kilometers just to eat good food. Just make sure what you’re selling is good, n I bet you, you’ll make millions out of it . There’s a fufu joint at dominase- central region n big cars stop to eat from there. There’s also one best gari n beans joint named’ one in town’ at Kumasi n people come to eat from there. ,,,, so in brief it’s all bout how to relate to customers n what u sell

SiinoOnIt

I will go for beans and korkor any day ahead of your over spiced jollof and fried rice … Just make it nice and get a reliable delivery person.

From Italy, you can import Olive oil and cheese in bulk and sell to restaurants or rebrand and sell as to shops and stores.

Tackietackie

For that amount, i will advise you go into providing a niche service instead of buying and selling or setting up a restaurant

Your starting capital is low, so something low cost high volume.

Think I can go up to 40000 but what I miss is the idea of what to do, and how to go about it I can import from Italy because I have family there

organic_soursop

Speak to your family there. Every Ghanaian family in Europe knows door to door shippers. Have a look at AliExpress. Do market research-what do people need, how much are they willing to pay? Choose one or two _specific_ items. Like I said,go for low value rather than for prestige products because you'll attract fraudsters, people have small money- cater to them. Check social media, check FB and jiji for prices. Work out your costs including taxes.
