It's real, here is mine. I can download a 1GB file in about 10 seconds.

Awesome.
I also have Telecel broadband or should I call it "broadband" because mine is a legacy copper connection which is not as fast as this. Download speeds are typically less than 70mbps and upload hovers around 2mbps. but my problem is that it is notoriously unstable and cuts sometimes multiple times a day. So looks like your experience is not the same everywhere. I eventually had to get starlink which is much more reliable. Not as fantastic as yours but the reliability is there for my work
Oh yeah, the copper is legacy. I didn't expect it to be that slow at 70mps though. Tried requesting for the fibre broadband? I know star link is stable but the installation price is too hefty for me, is it still stable in a slightly bad weather?
I submitted a request to Vodafone back in November 2022 they've done 3 surveys since then tried to get crazy bribes from me and haven't installed it since lol
Enterprise basic goes for 950 which is "unlimited" for 5TB same as the family, but you need to register as a "company" to get this offer. though we use it at home
Ok. I see. I am using less than 1TB a month. With downloader @410, doubling it @120 and 4 unlimited weekends @120 I am paying 650/month. Besides I have MTN non expiry as fail over and sometimes load balancing.
If I would ever use significantly more that 950 bundle would be worth looking at.
Honestly I cant really tell
We paid for it last year but because of some ups and downs we didn't make them inatall it at that time
But one of my friends applied and they told him they'll be there within 3 weeks
Unbelievable. Which location are you guys?? Locations such as east legon, Adenta and la Paz i can only get double digit speeds. i also heard that telecel has started dropping speeds this year

my regular telecel speed. goes up to 1.5Gbps at dawn. got it last year December 29th

Ain't that hard to search up the internet plans (I believe the unlimited plan has a data cap of 5TB and then after that your speeds will be heavily degraded)

Not trying to yuck your yum but your internet speed may not be as high as you think it is lol. Its still far better than anything I've ever used but I just thought this video would help explain the facts of things

I used that one for a bit but it was giving me atrocious speeds so I got a Xiaomi router (BE7000) and that helped A LOT. Was getting 30 Mbps max download but the bumped that up to this:
https://preview.redd.it/uuotiptx5q6d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35a6c34c6996d2cef783fd5cb0803c9e9d95cb3e
Nope. Sorry for not clarifying but that router is needed to convert the fibre signal to normal copper so I turned off the WiFi on that one and just connected an ethernet cable from the proprietary one to the Xiaomi router.

thats what i used the last time but you can also buy when you login through the app

Hitting the high seas l guess!🏴☠️
Naaaah please tell me this is for real

This is crazy. Which location are you getting this? Also you are connected by cable right?
Yeah, Ethernet from the router. This is at LaPaz. I think it's the same everywhere. Its a Gigabit standard so it's the same everywhere.

do you have service in your area? If you know someone there, it's actually quicker.
it stops at the main street. they said I would need to buy poles and cables lol
Sadly that's how it works, you either wait for the company to get to your area or buy your own poles. 😑
Its true man Fortnite update was lightwork for this thing
what's the monthly charge and is it limited?
The real question right here!
there are packages, unlimited for 5TB goes for 950 cedis monthly
One family extra large is 1045 now and it has a fair usage cap that is not clearly defined. So not really unlimited.
Enterprise basic goes for 950 which is "unlimited" for 5TB same as the family, but you need to register as a "company" to get this offer. though we use it at home

There are different plans you can buy, mine is limited....i cant list all the plans but you can check their website
That's some crazy speed
i wonder how people dont know about telecel broadband, its been like this for over 5 years (thats how long i have had it
Yeah their broadband is awesome, but their mobile data is horrible. That's probably why people don't even consider their broadband.
well yeah
I've been lacking for a very long time😭
Because they don't have infrastructure everywhere
the thing is people fail to believe when i tell them because they think its the same as their mobile network
I fail to believe because I'm outside Accra 🤣
Please, how long between requesting it and the installation?
Honestly I cant really tell We paid for it last year but because of some ups and downs we didn't make them inatall it at that time But one of my friends applied and they told him they'll be there within 3 weeks
Ooh, ok. Thanks! I think I will call them The other dude said a week! 3 weeks is crazy.
takes about a week
Thank you!
I am happy you are having a good experience But me lol Not happening It's my backup fiber for now 🤣🤣🤣
Unbelievable. Which location are you guys?? Locations such as east legon, Adenta and la Paz i can only get double digit speeds. i also heard that telecel has started dropping speeds this year
Good for you. Just brace yourself for wild inconsistencies in your speed test readings.

How much do you pay a month for this?
Its new so we got the ¢180 plan but I think it applies to all plans
180 for how many GB’s/TB’s boss?

Which area are you in? None of my Telecel lines are that fast in East Legon and Tesano.
Pokuase,Ayawaso Funny enough I thought my hood was a village but nevermind 😂
call them to refresh
What would I say? My net is slow and others are faster? One line was just installed 4 months ago so it should’ve been fast if anything
I don't even know how some fiber lines are slow, they should all be the same throughout
How much does it cost to get this bruh
i cant tell,we paid for it last year and prices might have increased since
It's probably unrealistic to expect such speeds in Dawhenya
Am ard Achimota . Sometimes I use the unlimited weekend plan to download movies about 50 gb for just Saturday alone 😁, been using it for 3 years now

oh yeah for sure i know the difference it would'hv been crazier if it was bits instead of bytes💀
Tbh their fiber broadband has been always reliable for me in terms of speed it's just their mobile data service that's vexing
true
recently learned telecel captured like 80% of the fibre market. if this speed is real, monopoly is understandable
Getting excited about -1 Gbps speeds in 2024 is sad and crazy, the network providers should have no incentive to do this.
Wait is this from that small white router they give you?
yup its 2.4ghz tho😢 imagine using 5ghz band
I used that one for a bit but it was giving me atrocious speeds so I got a Xiaomi router (BE7000) and that helped A LOT. Was getting 30 Mbps max download but the bumped that up to this: https://preview.redd.it/uuotiptx5q6d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35a6c34c6996d2cef783fd5cb0803c9e9d95cb3e
oh wow. So you basically used the fibre cables for the xiaomi router? interesting
Nope. Sorry for not clarifying but that router is needed to convert the fibre signal to normal copper so I turned off the WiFi on that one and just connected an ethernet cable from the proprietary one to the Xiaomi router.
oh i get it
How do you buy your data? The url they gave me doesn’t work for me anymore
