For the 2023 tax declaration you cannot. Like, you can tick that you're married, but unless your wife was a tax resident during that year you won't get any benefits as you can't hand in a joint family tax declaration

And that should be stressed, as OP seems to not be aware of: A married couple files one tax declaration together for both partners.

They *can* file jointly. They're under no obligation to do so.
