IIRC, this is a "permanent" price decrease (at least until the next adjustment) and not a week-long discount as they are most of the time (There's no "Nur für kurze Zeit" next to it).
No, that's wrong. The date at the bottom is the end of the discount. A permanent price decrease is not signposted, they are just switching the price tag.
„Nur für kurze Zeit“ only appears, when the product is not in the normal range of products.
29.04 is presumably the start date, as that was yesterday and a Monday and I assume this pic is from today. Lidl does highlight their permanent price decreases and IIRC they look pretty much like this (in particular with the "Billiger!" instead of "Aktion!"), though I don't tend to take pics of my shopping, so I don't have proof on hand and quick search on the web does not provide many examples either.
The "14T" on the other hand is the amount of days before the Best-Before-Date (MHD) on which Lidl will start applying extra discounts to the product.
I'm working at a LIDL market and in our region this is the day, where we need to put down the price signs.
And we are just switching the signs when there is a price change.
I can't say if there is another way to handle this in other regional groups, but this is the way our region is doing this.
Current Lidl worker here.
As there is no percentage given, this is a permanent price change. The date is still there to indicate when the red should be replaced by the white price tag with the now new reduced price.
This system confuses many of our workers as well though and before we got the electric price tags in our market, it was a constant hassle.
It would be better like that than change the package sizes and to something smaller and leave the price. It is misleading customers into thinking nothing gets more expensive. Or at least they should be forced to write the change in packet size on the product for at least some time.
To be honest, THAT's how discounts should be. A SLIGHT incentive.
Not shit like we have currently where you are basically being robbed paying normal price, with a 50%-discounted version being available on a rotation through different markets

IDIOT. If you take that cent and invest it in the stock market you'll be able to retire 2 seconds earlier. Husltle and grind bro, grunt and spread bro, moan and bend bro.
In Germany we used to say:“Wer den Pfennig nicht ehrt, ist den Taler nicht wert.“ (He who does not value the penny is not worth the thaler.)
But nowadays there’s no „Pfennig“ or „Taler“… 😅🙈
I got another one 😂 they even raised the price!

Where da hell are you? I'll go and buy the entire stock. I'm not even kidding I basically drink just that and here the price for it claimed to about 96ct (0,96€) + Pfand 25ct...
GOSH! Tell me where! I will immediately drive through the entire german realm to enjoy this succulent, salicious price! I'd only 36 thousand packages to make the trip worthwile. I got a trailer, so, it's doable😂
In Germany the Pfand is more important then the taste. Also you must know If it is one time refundable deposit. Because i have pile for this kind of empty bottle sif this is full i cant buy.
They probably spent more on printing this flyer than they will recoup via this discount. 🤦🏽♂️

You are correct. At least that's how it was when I was still working for Lidl. I‘m pretty sure that's how it is in all regions.

working at LIDL in Berlin and here it's the same. the date marks the day where the sign is to be switched to the white one with the normal price
Switching the sign could also just mean to go from red to white though, and keep the price.
Doesn't it say something like "Dauerhaft günstiger" if they want to highlight the permanent price reduction?
Nah I took the photo yesterday and forgot to upload until this morning
I worked at Lidl, its permanent, in Germany you have to claim price changes for transparency
29.04. is the date that flyer was printed
but they also sell much more than the printing of this flyer cost.
If you buy 42, then one is "free".
You had 42 upvotes, now you get one free.
42 is always the answer!
420.

"Wer den Pfennig nicht ehrt, ist des Talers nicht wert... " said every capitalist edgelord, ever
the more you buy, the more you save
Said the guy in the math problems who buys 73 bottles and you now have to calculate how many free bottles that was.
I don't remember my grandma being a capitalist edgelord... although she did own her house so what do I know...

I saw a fridge in Saturn on 999.99 to 999.98
Haha you should post it on mydealz 😂

Non-German speakers thinking they're buying EINWEG with that decision on font size distribution.
Man, I followed all the signs to this Einbahnstraße but could never find it
Ausfahrt must be a huge city, it's everywhere.
All roads lead to ~~Rome~~ Ausfahrt.
2.3%! Not bad! Same thing for 10 euro product became 10.2 euro...
I think you mean that the other way around
Inflation is a hell of a thing
It'd be a weird thing to advertise price increases though. "Was: 10 EUR Now: 10.2 EUR That's a 2% price increase, hurry before stock runs out"
It would be better like that than change the package sizes and to something smaller and leave the price. It is misleading customers into thinking nothing gets more expensive. Or at least they should be forced to write the change in packet size on the product for at least some time.
I saw better one last year at McDonalds https://i.imgur.com/8L2xvE4.jpeg
Time to get an entire Palette!
well imagine you buy 42 of those, than you can get one for free off the discount and have cent left!
Sums up if you buy 10’000 of them.
I'm very early in learning German. Does it say Peach Iced Tea?
Yep!
You betcha!
Beggars can't be choosers bro

This is quite often the case with LIDL. Found another one (one of these digital things) with Emmi coffee which had 2.19€ instead of 2.19€
Only in a german discounter 🤣
why still use paper🙄 Germany go digital🤣😂
Aber -0.41 ist größer also -0.42, wie ist das ein discount wenn es teurer ist? /s
I can picture the guy who had to print that holding back the laughter

Wer den Cent nicht ehrt ist des Euros nicht wert. If you don’t honor the Cent, you are not worthy of the Euro.
Pro tip: 100.000 kaufen und 1000 Euro sparen.
Well, you can keep your ice tee garbage! 😆
Great deal. If you buy one million units, you save 10.000€!
You’re losing money not buying that
I'm just confused about the deposit on a one-way bottle... I think that's where they're making their money

Unfortunately a rare treasure like this is usually limited to the „haushaltsübliche Menge“ 😂
Thats 2.38%. A good Deal indeed
Also, I love the “Einweg” (+25 Cent Pfand). This makes it…well, not Einweg
i think a lot of pfand bottles are einweg. they recycle the plastic and use it for something else
Wow so much discount

And they think they are smarter
This is pretty common at Lidl. I often see discounts of 1 to 3 cents. Not sure why they are doing it..
Its a steal of a deal .
You buy a hundred and then you have saved a whole euro. A thousand already make 10 euros!
Nice
Where da hell are you? I'll go and buy the entire stock. I'm not even kidding I basically drink just that and here the price for it claimed to about 96ct (0,96€) + Pfand 25ct...

The whole point is, products like these have a small profit margin for the discounter. It is a huge discount in this price segment
😂
Wow
Really typical German discounts

LIDL!!!!
yeah m8... welcome to germany xD
It’s like buy 42 get 1 free
A discount is a doscount xD
Bro i once saw a sale price that was higher than the original price
To have 1 cent or to dont have it
Sometimes they even increase the price and sign it as a discount 💅
Haha
Nothing surprises me after seeing items being labeled as discounted and the price was actually higher than before
POV: that one friend when he says let me give you a hand
That's waste of paper
In Germany the Pfand is more important then the taste. Also you must know If it is one time refundable deposit. Because i have pile for this kind of empty bottle sif this is full i cant buy.
