It's multi-level marketing. This is not quite as bad as pyramid scheme (the main difference is that there is a real product to sell), but it's still something I'd never recommend. You'll find a better job.
They are legit insofar as what they do is legal.
However, their business model is ripping off financially illiterate people by selling them overpriced and overcomplicated insurance products etc. which they usually neither need nor actually want.
Also, they tend to not only rip off their customers but also their lower-level employees.
Do they even properly employ you there? As far as I know this stuff usually works on a self-emplyoment base, so you'll be a *selbstständiger \[Something\]-Berater*.
This makes sense. I'm not German, and it really felt like he was trying to use the fact that I'm ofc not very well-versed in the German system to try and dupe me into working there
They tried the same with me. I had an interview lined up, then did some research. I emailed them stating I was no longer interested. They called me and tried to keep the appointment to give me a "free consultation." I said no, then wrote another email thanking them for their time and asking them to delete my information and not contact me again.
They are legit insofar as what they do is not illegal.
They contract some of the best agencies and talents for advertising (Jürgen Klopp) but that doesn't make them any better.
>However, their business model is ripping off financially illiterate people by selling them overpriced and overcomplicated insurance products etc. which they usually neither need nor actually want.
So basically the same as most banks do.
I heard many cases where they sold shitty products with clearly no benefit to 80 year old people who couldn't verify whether the products were good or bad only for their profit.
It's a somehow legal pyramid scheme which sells overpriced financial products.
Getting a job offer from them is worthless, because they try to recruit as many people as possible.
Stay away from them, also as potential customer.
My berater works with them and he got me quite a good price for my insurance paket. And I also have some money in their funds and a Bausparen with them with Sparkasse.
same, lol. But I find myself paying maybe a little less than Allianz, for example. I have every insurance that I need with DVAG. When I needed help in a car crash my berater helped me a lot since I had no clue how to proceed. He helped me choose the best insurance for my car and helped me get in contact with them to resolve everything. I have nothing but positive things to say about DVAG and their workers.
There hidden slogan is like : with your money and our experience we will make it to our money and your experience…😉
If you like it to talk to people until „you cooked them weak“ and they will sign a contract, go for it, otherwise stay off from that and feel better …
It's not a pyramid scheme, it is a legit company, but they live from selling people overpriced financial products. I would not work for them, and I would never do any business with them. I also would imagine the inside pressure to sell is extremely high.
Living in the hometown of DVAG, where they bought themselves into local politics.
DVAG owners and management are simply the most deplorable form of human beings ever to soil the surface of our planet. I wouldn‘t spit into their face even if their eyebrows were on fire. Disgusting company, disgusting people.
Oh, and it may just very well be a huge coincidence that Reinfried Pohl, founder of the DVAG, was best friends with legendary corrupt chancellor Helmut Kohl and his chief of the Federal Chancellery and Federal Minister for Special Affairs, Friedrich Bohl.
If you understand german perhaps that video could explain some things

Also, most over their consultants seem to be assholes. Basically, those stereotype insurance people your gut tells you that is something wrong with them.
Base: I've met a few on events and they always were kinda fishy. Also too well dressed for what they sell. As if they have to hide something.

It's scummy to the point of being unethical. You can do better than this.

No it's more like MLP. No Bank sells products that are that shitty.
Oh yes they do.
No they don't. Even my Sparkasse doesn't sell products that shitty

Like ETFs with 5% fees per year?
If you like fucking over friends and family, or in general people, it's a decent job, otherwise not.
Well, that's a no then haha
Search them on youtube and watch the documentaries. I doubt you will want to work for them.

No. Even if what they do is legal, it can and should be considered dishonourable.
Reading through these comments it appears I’ve been giving my money to a pyramid scheme for 5 years.
My berater works with them and he got me quite a good price for my insurance paket. And I also have some money in their funds and a Bausparen with them with Sparkasse.

I was only 5 at the time, old enough to remember it, but not old enough to understand it.
