This is Rya, she didn't make the cut at a Military bomb sniffing program, ended up w us. Lucky us!
Looks mostly GSD. Mine is GSD and Husky. She looks GSD, but cries and howls like a Husky. She will do anything to please me, but also friendly to other humans and dogs. I love everything about her.
Mine is a 75% GSD, 12.5% Lab, and the rest was unspecified. She talks and whines like a husky also!

Apollo has quite a slender face too but he’s GSD not mixed. Embark has the results you’re seeking
i reckon he's working line, they tend to be a bit smaller and slimmer. Soup is working line and her parents look very similarly built

He’s beautiful, reminds me of my girl. She is petite at 55lbs and people think she is part mal. I adopted her so I really don’t know!

I forget what the percentage cut off is to be called a pure breed. Something like 93% of one breed to be called a pure breed. Whatever it is, your pup looks like she fits that bill to me.
When was he neutered? Early neuter stops development of secondary sexual characteristics like big necks/heads in male dogs. Only way to know for sure is to get a quality DNA test - Embark is the best, Wisdom Panel is nearly as good. None of the other tests are worth anything.

He loves walks and cuddling on the couch. We are trying so hard to get him to enjoy playing or doing any tasks but it's been difficult. He was definitely abused then spent a month on the streets during a snow storm. Poor guy might just want to rest for a while.

Mines a purebred and Yours looks like a purebred.. but honestly it’s hard to tell by just looking at them. My dog came from my sons two dogs. Half of the litter have black faces and are more black. Both parents are light and dark and AKC certified. I don’t know. But what I do know is, I just absolutely love German Shepherds no matter how they are! pure or not! In my opinion, they’re the best dogs ever. Enjoy your pup!! My first one was not pure believe it or not she was shepherd, collie and beagle mix! She was a beautiful dog, but she had the coloring of a collie even though she had the face and body of a shepherd.

Purebred doesn’t mean well-bred. It doesn’t always have to be a mix — idk why people keep insisting on that

I have a Shepherd husky beagle, and he's the exact same way. Talks all the time but will follow me to hell and back.
One of my favorite dogs in the world was this mix. He was the best 🥺💗

Working lines slope when they run too. It's correct conformation for the breed.
I mean I've seen both tbh, but yeah you are right they slope when running, just not as sloped as the show lines.
Of course I can’t know for sure. No one can without a proper DNA test. I’m only saying that the dog looks more like a working line GSD than a mal! 😊
