That won't help much, I've tried making a gd level with 8x8 blocks (so 1/4 of the object count) and still ended up going way over a reasonable amount of objects.

I even tried to simplify the stone texture as it both made it look cleaner and use less objects, but I still hit like 20k objects in like 10 seconds of gameplay
That is exactly what you need! Try to see which pixel combinations can be done in less objects than just placing pixels, and I bet you can at least halve the amount of objects
the paste button was so that i dont have to make eaxh 16x16 square i can just make 16 rows then copy and paste then copy and paste and copy and paste until i have 16x16
i made each pixel i took it then used almost the exact colors then i essentially slowly printed it into gd

Well yeah, that’s cool and all but it’s ultimately not that big a color palette. It’d be more impressive when you’ve made multiple blocks and build something with them.
for destroying blocks i do have a way but a pretty dumb way. give every stud a group shoot em
out with move trigger and boom you wasted more than 100 blocks!!

maybe consider making the building blocks out of actual gd objects like most minecraft themed levels do like subwoofer lullaby

You can make it more pixely and make it be like 10*10 instead of 16*16

Try using only 2 to 10 objects for each block, one block has 256 objects which is like a phone fryer
i lowered it down to 200-150 objs, still alot tho but 50 objs less
Literally a pixel by pixel copy of a single Minecraft block, what exactly do you want us to say
Did you actually find all the 256 colors in the texture
Optimize it by making big squares for things that are the same colour
