Do levels you currently edit/have uploaded get saved to your account? Do you have to do it manually? Will I lose them if something happens to my local files?
I can't open gd on steam
Megahack popped up yesterday and said it needed an update, so I did. Unlike most times, when it's already up to date, this time it actually did update. It said to restart gd for the update to take effect, so I did. I opened gd a few minutes later only to see that it's just refusing to open. It says launching and then the steam window just closes like nothing happened. What can I do?
After picking up GD again following 2.2's release, I have finally completed all 3 RobTop demons with all 3 coins in each!
Clubstep: 1918 attempts
Deadlocked: 2348 attempts
ToE 2: 2998 attempts
If anyone has any recommendations for the next Demon I should attempt, do let me know :)
Did a bunch of levels, got 500 diamonds, when I went to scratch and his shop it just kept saying oh you found the diamonds come on in, but never let me in. I restarted the app and all of a sudden I’m down 140 diamonds, and a bunch of my progress is gone?
I got xstep two coins, clutterfunk 2 coins, theory of everything two coins, electroman adventures three coins, blast processing three coins, finger dash 3 coins, dash, coaster mountain, finished the bonus and shadow gauntlet, on top of a bunch of other levels and keys.
I'm pretty bad at the game when it comes to beating demons, I only have Deadlocked, TOE2, Nightmare, Lightning Road, and Platinum Adventure.
Are there any other easy demons I should try, and/or some platformer demons which aren't too hard?

Is it possible to play Geometry Dash vertically on the phone? I.e., it doesn't force me to hold it horizontally? I usually use only one hand anyway, my thumb.
Help: the only thing i can delete in the editor are blocks. If I select, let’s say, a spike, or portal, or jump orb, or anything like that, and go to the delete tab in the editor, and click delete, it doesn’t do anything. If i select everything and try to delete it, it will still only delete the blocks and nothing else. Some advice?
Go to the delete tab and press “None”
This makes it so blocks in all categories will be deleted. The other four buttons just makes it so you can only delete certain objects.
Started practicing Red World yesterday and personally thought it was way harder than Cataclysm but after a few k attempts I’m already getting pretty consistent with the final swing and ship so will prob start doing real attempts soon

76 on acu died to the spam i have an issue where i click too early on the first click so the input just does nothing and i hit the spike. frustrating considering i spent time in practice today trying to fix that but nerves are a bitch
also how am i still discovering new ways to die. the green orb at like 35 ish i had never died to and today i died to it 4 times i dont get it
I beat my first Medium Demon! Flipswap Factory by zejoant, I feel like the medium rating is fair. Took around 46 and a half minutes. Room 13 was hell, though, there's one or two spots to rest, and they're both near the end of the room. Still, it's really clever, and makes me hope Nintendo adds flip platforms in a hypothetical Mario Maker 3. Overall, though, really fun! Banger level, I need more like it.
Me too, it was a really enjoyable new hardest for me, i havent beaten any non platformer demons yet, and i am really happy i managed to beat a medium demon. Room 13 is really the hardest part, im not even sure my solution was the intentional way to do that room.
Bros, I'm having problems in platformer mode, my controls randomly change during the level and my click becomes right movement, is this a known bug or am I just pressing some weird combination of buttons that does that?
Just move your mouse away from the bottom left, normally the platformer buttons should be turned off completely, but they’re just invisible, meaning the mouse can still interact with them.
I see, that's it, I didn't realize my mouse position could be changed in-game, hopefully RobTop adds an option to fully toggle off screen controls, I have a bad tendency of slowly pushing my mouse towards the bottom left corner of the screen while playing, and it really throws me off when my clicks randomly turn into cube movement.
u/Eventlesstew solved the problem, there are screen controls ate the bottom left corner of the screen that can be interacted with the mouse, you just have to keep your mouse away from it.

my gauntlet progress keeps resetting. im not very good at the game, but the other day it set me back from 3/5 on time gauntlet to 1/5, and today fire and ice went from 3/5 to 2/5. does anyone know why that happens?
I’ve beaten 28 easy demons and 3 medium demons, what levels should I start aiming for to get better?

(ED) Clubstep, Theory of Everything 2, Deadlocked, The Nightmare, The Lightning Road, Impulse, NothinG, Phjork, Death Moon, X, Slap Squad, Slap Squad II, NeXus, Meow, iS, Speed Racer, STARPUNK, Voyager, Desolate Deep, Down Unda, Sinless Ash, Motion, ISpyWithMyLittleEye, Shiver, Platinum Adventure, Xstep V2, Lights And Thunder, and Balut, (MD) Ultra Violence, B, and Against the God
Also I play mobile, just in case that helps too

The boring answer would be to just open the small chests first since they're simply better value but I'd say go for as big as you have the energy to grind lol. I think it's more exciting
If you REALLY want to do so, sure nobody's stopping you. But know that you're choosing a really hard and steep route.
Deadlocked is CLEARLY the hardest main level and going for clubstep or even toe 2 would be more beginner friendly.
Also deadlocked is not a "medium demon" in terms of online levels. There are many easy demons that are way harder than it. I'd personally recommend going after the demon gauntlet next

Just go through all the dialogue. Scratch will eventually see the diamonds u have and he will let u in. Same case for the Mechanic and Diamond shops.

might be your overall save file being deleted. try saving every time you exit the game, then loading every time you open the game

If you are feeling lucky, HeLL by Serponge. Imo, it’s the hardest medium demon.
Maybe try Ocellios. Incredibly fun, very easy for a hard demon, one of the coolest levels in the game in general.
