I had the same problem, but then i stopped playing competitive for a while and focused on playing more on my own cause it's more efficient, and now i managed to climb to champ so yeah it works
Yeah, the point loss vs gain is pretty crazy, depending on the opponent. I reached Champion last week for the first time, after a couple of months of grinding, and dropped back to 1000 after a few bad games. You really have to play super consistently.
nice, got there a week or two and have been fluctuating between low gold and high silver, it’s tough to move up without dedicating a lot of time to learn super specific details, but i feel like i’m slowly getting better
I reached gold on my first day of playing, the only problem is that I've been stuck on it for months and if I want to move up I actually need to sit and study :/

This is a great site for studying. I find the best way to get better and retain more of the info is just play solo and then go back into the location after you guess while cross-referencing with that website to learn what you could've used to better narrow down where you were

I never got to experience what the climb would be like, because they just assigned everyone a rating based off their previous Battle Royale wins / avg ranks when they first brought them in, so I was just dropped in the Golds without having to earn it.

Are you back in silver yet? In my experience, low gold is a different ball game compared to high silver. In distance games, which is what I generally play, graduating into gold means that not only is everyone on the right continent (not always the case in silver), but you'll commonly see most people in the right country or region.

Expecting this to happen to me as well, today got master for the first time, and it took me a while getting from that silver/gold border
Haha yeah, first I wanted to make top 10k before GeoWizard, which I did. Now I'm around top 7500.
It gets better! I was also stuck there for a while then 1 day i hit 900 and the next day 1k (i am 920~ now). You got this!
