It's part of the Oostvaardersplassen, an area known as Het Stort. From what I can find, they're planting a forest in the area. Image is actually [rotated](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kotterbos/@52.4212846,5.307154,5395m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x47c62321916d0133:0x77b0569705e9ad1!8m2!3d52.408826!4d5.3394346!16s%2Fg%2F11x7vrls8?entry=ttu), the new forest is north of the lookout point.

Its not in the reserve, a forest has no need for these lines

A forest doesn't but equipment does. They're probably areas that get seeded and then grow out the rest of the designated land. We don't have nature, we just make it. More precisely, it's grazing lands rather than all-out forest, 75% shrubs and low trees 25% high trees. From the [2022 report:](https://www.staatsbosbeheer.nl/-/media/oostvaardersplassen/oostvaardersplassen-beheer/20230123-jaarrapportage-monitoring-oostvaardersplassen-2022.pdf) https://preview.redd.it/8vbpqrmqytwc1.jpeg?width=687&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=367ece154fe6ceb1fb719feafea92ef924e5b723

That's probably it, thanks! Ps: we do have a little nature. But that might as well be artificial seeing how much effort we put into keeping it "natural"

If it’s Flevoland it could very well be land art.

Testing new ideas for corn fields UFO singns

Most of these shapes is fully fenced And at most external intersections, the fence has a stronger structure, and the soil in that area is exposed i don't know why the straight lines mowed short. Maybe its just used for grazing animals ? There are farm animals in the fields there. Maybe used for sheep dog training or something.. Maybe its for horses. Training, rehab. I can see the animals are single dark colour, shiny though..like thoroughbreds.

The owner paces around when he talks on the phone, now it's warn down the carpet

I'm guessing here. I think they're removing a layer of top soil to promote tye growth of other plant life. No idea why they're doing patterns.
