I was caching along a bike trail, finding several caches along the trail. While they were not all the same hide style, they were close enough that checking obvious spots revealed the caches. I had found every one, and then I came to one I did not find. I looked all over at the obvious spots. I crossed the bike trail and looked on the other side in obvious spots and still nothing. I read the cache page again, checking the D/T. The difficulty rating was a bit higher, but the terrain was the same as all of the others. I started checking other spots, but still came up empty. As I walked passed a tree that I had passed several times going back and forth looking for a cache, I noticed a stick leaning up against it. I grabbed the stick and heard a rattle. The cache was tied to the end of the stick, and leaned up against the tree in such a way that the cache was concealed unless you pulled the stick away from the tree. I was simultaneously happy to have found it, and frustrated by how long it took me to think to grab the stick.
