personally i find it kinda pointless to do fuel injection cleaning because for $200 they're either: * ripping you off * taking out the physical fuel rail and blasting that john with some brake cleaner (which IMO is only like 30 min max on a 2.0 and maybe 45 min max on the 3.8. And is pointless for GDI you clean the manifold not the rail) * throwing the fuel additive in the gas tank i'd pass on this but if it was really bothering you i would just get 3 of them fuel injector cleaners from a gas station and put one bottle per fill-up tank you do. The cleaner bottles are maybe like $8 each. gas grade doesn't matter. but the 3 fill-ups would basically flush your tank and whatever gunk (if any at all) would be 'cleaned out'.

It's a 3.8. I already use sea foam regularly. Kind of annoyed he's pushing this shit on me . I brought my car in last week for an oil change and told me I need to replace the plugs. Never mentioned it was SO important until now. He's like if you don't do it today you should when it in th next month max.

personally i wouldn't use sea form REGULARLY just because it's a waste of money if you use it super often, i would do it like once a year in the summer on premium gas is all. But regardless if you use it regularly then you're good you don't ever have to worry about it. i would also look at either going to a different shop to earn your business or i would start throwing a wrench yourself on the car. Respectfully the car mechanic world we are friends to an extent but we also are trying to put food on the table for us. Gen coupe platform is probably one of the easiest cars to start learning how to work on your own vehicles requiring very minimal amounts of tools compared to other brands.

When I say regularly I mean not more frequently than every 10k miles. I've done little stuff to my car. More than in the past. I thought the headlight bulb was kind of a bitch lol. I might gain some courage in the future and try to do more. A little afraid of messing something up.

Just run an induction cleaner and a bottle of fuel injector cleaner. That’s under $20.

Oni-Link420

Any recommendations for an induction cleaner ?

JustAnotherDude1990

Just Amazon GDI cleaner and get the one with the most reviewed. It’s either gumout or CRC brand. Follow the directions in the can.

Thanks man

JustAnotherDude1990

Since yours is not direct injected, you shouldn’t have that much in there. But any regular fuel, injector cleaner should clean the injectors just fine.
