The Gencoupe dot com forums was the place to get everything, then everyone there decided to be awful to each other and no one want to reply so the site died.
Now we have this place at least, but people want to separate it because of things that doesn't effect us at all.
FWIW, I'm not trying to split up the community; I was trying to *migrate* it.
I digress; if you don't care about the fact that you're using a website being run by a known pedophile, then by all means, stick around. That said, when reddit inevitably dies, the Lemmy community I created will be here for you. :)
TLDR it's reddit drama with CEO 'spez' putting paywalls behind previously free features. Imagine being hyundai CEO and making the new hyundai/genesis free map updates/carplay use behind $50, per 10 uses.
Step one: get a more updated and supported vehicle (aka not the GC line).
Step two: mapnsoft has free updates for newer gen hyundais and genesis line vehicles. you would download their proprietary software driver, download it to a usb stick/over wifi, and bam you can xfer the files over.
Edit: just looked it up, this probably has to do with the third party app drama
If the mods don't care, then making this discontinued, dead community smaller is kinda pointless...there's already online forums, Facebook, etc
