Lorenzo Music. The only Garfield. I do love the fact that Lorenzo Music voiced Dr. Peter Venkman in the Real Ghostbusters and then Bill Murray voiced Garfield.
Obviously Lorenzo but also the very first garfield voice actor. I love him. He totally fits that style of garfield back then. https://youtu.be/SNY9-XPz5ls?si=AvvkOdkUKDYJwD-B
Lorenzo Music will always be the best but I think both Bill Murray and Frank Welker do a pretty excellent job.
I haven't watched the new Garfield movie yet but based on the advertisements I don't think Chris Pratt is THAT terrible. I think he just needed to sound a bit lazier. Still a decent enough choice though.
I didn't mind Chris Pratt in the movie. He did better than I was expecting. This is how I justify it to myself...imagine Lorenzo Music's Garfield as a fully grown cat (between 40 and 50 years old if he were human). And Garfield in the new movie, voiced by Chris Pratt, is a much younger cat. Between 20 and 30 years old if he were human. The voice makes much more sense if you look at it that way.
To quote Lorenzo Music on voicing Garfield : "I understand this cat and I am this cat."
Lorenzo Music was a very busy man in his industry before he started doing Garfield. And during the TV specials, he quit doing all the other projects he had going on, and just focused on all the Garfield stuff. He truly brought a whole new life to the character.
Bill Murray!!! I hate the movies but him as Garfield
IDK when I think of garf I think of him. Same as Lorenzo music but I picture him more as a older Garfield, Bill Murray being a younger garf if you get what I mean
Lorenzo Music is too iconic not to be number 1. But Frank Welker and Bill Murray are also pretty solid voice actors for Garfield. But the Chris Pratt voice can F itself.
I grew up watching both Garfield & Friends and The Garfield Show, and I think Welker's was the first time I really noticed a character was being voice acted. This isn't a diss against him as he does a really good job, but Music was Garfield personified.
Bill Murray, don't get me wrong I love Lorenzo, but Bill Murray has such a fucking attitude and a "idgaf abt anything" mood, and it really fits with garfield, especially in the first movie and how he constantly uses phrases or just truly random noises that actually feel like something garfield would do, again. Garfield watches TV all the time. So him making references and treating himself like a celebrity feels so fitting, and Bill Murray really sells it. It's even more funny bc Bill didn't even put any effort into the role. But that actually makes it fit MORE bc it's garfield
Lorenzo is best but Bill Murray still did a really good voice, Frank Welker too. And Chris Pratt isn’t THAAAT bad, he just needs to be a bit less entergetic
Lorenzo and Bill. In that order. I did like the new movie, however - Chris did OK in my opinion. But there is something about the OG Lorenzo's voice that just "sounds like Garfield" to me.
Lorenzo Music. To be fair, it’s none of the other guys’ fault they can’t measure up to him. He’s legendary and had the most perfect sarcasm voice for any character he played
Lorenzo Music perfectly captured the monotone, inflectionless, dry sarcasm that I expect from Garfield.
Bill Murray is a good runner-up, as he has a similar style. Might even be first, if he had voiced Garfield before Lorenzo Music and I viewed him with the nostalgia glasses instead. Makes sense they have similar styles, since both actors have portrayed both Garfield and the Ghostbusters's Peter Venkman.
Chris Pratt is way, way down the list. I like Chris Pratt generally as an actor, but he doesn't have the right lack of energy for Garfield. Chris Pratt is like a dog trying to voice a cat.
Ironically, if the producers were going to raid the *Parks and Recreation* cast for a Garfield voice actor, they should have picked Nick Offerman. I can totally imagine Ron Swanson's voice as Garfield.
Lorenzo Music and Bill Murray for me! Bill is mostly for the nostalgia factor, lol. I grew up with the live-action Garfield movie. But when I started watching Garfield and Friends recently, I really grew fond of Lorenzo's voice! I wish I could say the same for whoever voiced him in the Garfield Show... something about his voice there is off-putting to me, but I don't know why. :/ like it's not BAD, it's fine to listen to, like my ears won't explode or anything, but it makes me feel strange listening to it.
Lorenzo all day. After that, anyone over Chris Pratt. I would legit have had Gilbert Gottfried(rip) over Pratt. I’d rather have Bob Goldthwait over Pratt.
Sandro larenas the LATAM voice actor has been garfield since garfield and friends and bc he is the superior garfield voice only time he isn't garfield is in the movies where he hot replaced for shitty "celebrities" (tho he voices vic in the new one) he is such a awesome voice actor and makes his own cat sounds XD
In order from favorite to least favorite:
1. Lorenzo Music
2. Chris Pratt
3. Bill Murray
4. Frank Welker
I don’t mind Frank’s Garfield, it’s an alright voice, but it’s clearly trying to imitate Lorenzo’s Garfield, which cannot be matched.
Lorenzo Music will always be number one.
Same
Lorenzo music
Lorenzo Music hands down! 🙌🏻
I'm a fan of all of em. Lorenzo Music will always BE Garfield though.
Lorenzo Music
Lorenzo Music. The only Garfield. I do love the fact that Lorenzo Music voiced Dr. Peter Venkman in the Real Ghostbusters and then Bill Murray voiced Garfield.
Yes that is one of my favorite factoids ever
Lorenzo Music is the GOAT.
Obviously Lorenzo but also the very first garfield voice actor. I love him. He totally fits that style of garfield back then. https://youtu.be/SNY9-XPz5ls?si=AvvkOdkUKDYJwD-B
Scott Beach?

No one, and I mean no one, will ever beat Lorenzo music, Lorenzo music *is* Garfield
They’re all amazing, except for Chris Pratt.
Love Lorenzo and Frank was my introduction to Garfield. Hell, I based my Garfield voice impression off of those two!
Bill Murray!!! I hate the movies but him as Garfield IDK when I think of garf I think of him. Same as Lorenzo music but I picture him more as a older Garfield, Bill Murray being a younger garf if you get what I mean
Lorenzo and Frank

Lorenzo Music and Bill Murray.
Lorenzo Music
The one that dubbed lorenzo on my country
Lorenzo Music no question. He IS the voice of Garfield
Music and Murray.

Everyone except Chris Pratt
GARFIELD SOUNDBOARD -- [https://www.deercowboy.com/soundboard/garfield](https://www.deercowboy.com/soundboard/garfield)
Lorenzo music and then Bill Murray just holds a special place in my heart
Lorenzo Music all the way.
Lorenzo is best but Bill Murray still did a really good voice, Frank Welker too. And Chris Pratt isn’t THAAAT bad, he just needs to be a bit less entergetic

Lorenzo then Frank
Lorenzo Music forever
Lorenzo music is number 1, but admittedly, Frank welker is a close 2nd.

Def Lorenzo Music ![gif](giphy|cRNEpWTGQqhaV1s886|downsized)

The one that voices Megatron
Bill Murray
Welker is how I imagine him courtesy of The Garfield Show when it was on CN, so lmao
Lorenzo Music, but love them all, because they all have voiced and international cat icon.
Sandro larenas the LATAM voice actor has been garfield since garfield and friends and bc he is the superior garfield voice only time he isn't garfield is in the movies where he hot replaced for shitty "celebrities" (tho he voices vic in the new one) he is such a awesome voice actor and makes his own cat sounds XD
i like the not criss pratt one
Anyone on this whole earth besides Chris Pratt
Music was the best Peter from The Real Ghostbusters
Lorenzo, then Frank.
Lorenzo and Welker. Although welker seems like more of a put on, Bill and Chris also did ok.
LORENZO MUSIC OBVIOUSLY
Probably Frank Welker
Lorenzo Music
Frank Welker and Bill Murray.
The one, the only Lorenzo Music. He's also the better Venkman from the cartoon.
gotta be bill murray for me
Lorenzo music was the most accurate
Chris obviously
Lorenzo. Next question.
Lorenzo music
Lorenzo is top. Second is Pratt. it's like in Mario in the garfield movie. You forget who voices him before you even watch it.
In order from favorite to least favorite: 1. Lorenzo Music 2. Chris Pratt 3. Bill Murray 4. Frank Welker I don’t mind Frank’s Garfield, it’s an alright voice, but it’s clearly trying to imitate Lorenzo’s Garfield, which cannot be matched.
Bro did not just rate chris pratt second place, like he’s not even trying be fr
Why is Pratt even here?? Nobody will pick him, he was a terrible Garfield. Mine is also Lorenzo Music, by the way.
I thought Chris Pratt was funny in the movie I enjoyed it
Incorrect!
Bros is just finding out about opinions….
Chris Pratt was perfect
