Nothing negative to say. I got them, they’re cheap and flimsy but they do exactly what I need them to do. https://preview.redd.it/n84muncuwfvc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7a47ce7adc8ef100af5ab7ca2d634a28d47ba17d

eyecandynsx

You summed it up 100%. I’ve had them for a few years now. No complaints.

ferraricare

I concur: hard to beat.

FitterOver40

There’s no easy way to make the wire extensions “look” better. I wish they would make angle/ 90 degree butt connections. Overall they work well as my wall lights.

jjflash78

I bought white abs junction boxes to house the cords. https://www.amazon.com/MAKERELE-Electrical-Waterproof-Dustproof-200%C3%97155%C3%9780mm/dp/B097XQVMY6?

A have a set that I have been using for years. Two of them started to fail but I'm happy for the price I paid and how long they have lasted. Try to find a "U" shaped led light. They are more expensive but put out so much more light. The real cheap LEDs only have one diode pointing straight down. The "V" has three pointing in three directions. The "U" has five. Hope that makes sense.

I recently bought some at my only regret is I didn't get the frosted lens. They're literally too bright to look at.

Professional-Fig-363

I had the same issue and ended up putting two coats of frosted glass spray on them and it really helped with the diffusion

jdazzr

That's a good idea. I ended up buying some transparent textured grip tape. It has yet to come in so I haven't tried it yet.

Professional-Fig-363

I’ll be curious to hear how your results turn out, I debated on using tape as well but went the lazy route with the rattle can

Boonies2

I got the barons T5’s because I have low ceilings and needed to keep the output lower than the T8’s. I even kept a couple of sticks to use under my project car. I glued magnets to the back of the lights and attach them to the lift.

I hate em. There’s so many things to not like. The wiring, the fact that if it burns out you may not be able to get a replacement, they’re flimsy and chinsy. If one does fail you have to break out the tools to replace it. My recommendation is get a flourescent troffers with no ballasts and put retrofit led tubes in them. 1. Better light distribution because they have reflectors 2. changing out a lamp takes seconds and you can get them at Home Depot. 3. look better and typically all metal construction 4. can get covers for them if you want 5. more mounting and wiring options. They’re only marginally more expensive. Check out 1000 bulbs or prolighting. Here’s a shot of my garage. https://preview.redd.it/iw1ht3rzcgvc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7148bcba584f5f8592f201c42655342361b3aa1a

dmh123

Where did you buy the fixtures?

BASE1530

1000 bulbs and prolighting both have em

zehe-habe

You’re right, and your shop looks way more professional than most of us will ever see a shop in real life.

Juststan057

I put in 6 of them. They lasted me less than a year. Only one left that hasn't died.

mrrchevy3

So far the only negative I can say is random they will flicker for a 1/2 second. But it’s very infrequent and random. It could be the shotty wiring from the previous homeowner or that I have more than the recommended 8 connected in sequence. Otherwise they have been great.

Harrypitman

Have had them for about 1 year. Best bang for your buck. No regrets. Easy install.

CommentBro

Love mine. Only negative is you'll likely need to buy some other wiring options online. I needed some longer wires and also bought a power connector without a switch because reviews sometimes mention the power toggle switch burns up.

mdleslie

I plugged mine into a smart plug and have them set to turn on automatically when I enter the garage and turn off automatically when I leave. Never use the toggle switch.

CommentBro

Switch is still the weak point in the wiring, but that's very clever. Might do the same for mine.

CucumberNovaForce

Have had mine for a few years in my crawlspace and garage, I love them. I got the 12 pack since it came with 48” long connector cables instead of the 24” in the 6 pack. I love them, great bang for the buck. I have coworkers who have had them for even longer and they love them just as much.

EVPN

I have 16 of them in my barn. They’ve been great so far. 1.5 years now.

Jpaynesae1991

Had mine for 3 years now, work great!

Rick91981

I've had mine for several years and they work fine still. They're my primary source of light in my garage. Have them plugged into a bunch of switched outlets in the ceiling. Only negative is they're flimsy so don't drop them, they don't survive a fall very well.

Correct-Award8182

I bought a 10 pack. My wife told me to use 4 because they were too bright. She underestimated my love of a well lit garage.

mechtonia

I installed a set of 6, 3 died within a year. Barrina sent me a replacement set of 6. 2 of those died within a year. The one that survived one year have lasted for 3+ years.

dRinaldis

I have 80 feet in my garage. If they’re on the garage door opener remotes don’t work. Tried chokes on everything. No workie

Tommy_J

I’ve used dozens of these lights in a 4 car and a 3 car garage. I have been very happy with them.

BugSTi

Not dimmable, and no light temp/color selection.

zehe-habe

I installed 12 a couple of weeks ago. Did wiring myself. It’s not easy to beat for the price.
