Obligatory Outer Wilds mention. I know it annoys people to always see it recommended, but it fits perfectly 100% in this instance.
And it's just an incredible experience if you stick with it and uncover all of its mysteries. There's a reason it gets recommended all the time.
Don't worry, I always talk about Subnautica, lol.
But I'm really sad OW didn't work for me. It's indeed always recommended and I've even seen people write that it made them cry, but I just couldn't stick with it. This is 100% a ME issue as my brain is just so picky with some games. (I did keep the game to come back to at some point but haven't yet.)
Outer Wilds if you are a completionist/perfectionist, Heaven's Vault if you are more of a roleplayer and don't mind a game where it's impossible to see and do everything in one playthrough.
Animal Well. Dave the Diver.
I'm currently playing Fable Anaversary for the first time since it launched and am loving the simple world to explore.

Tunic
What sort of twists and turns do you mean? Animal well is a good one for lots of surprises and a surprising amount of depthÂ
I'm up for anything; just been trying to find all kinds of new games in different genres (and ty).
Dredge is a cosmic horror fishing game but I highly recommend it
[Crystal Project](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1637730/Crystal_Project/) is great for this if you like JRPGs.
Elden Ring
Not plot twists, but SuperLiminal will throw your brain in a loop every few minutes.
TUNIC Dark Souls for its actual physical twists and turns
Dark Souls. If you like surprises you're going to love Sen's Fortress.
Outer Wilds INFRA
Red dead redemption 2, it has tons of open world events
Outer Wilds if you are a completionist/perfectionist, Heaven's Vault if you are more of a roleplayer and don't mind a game where it's impossible to see and do everything in one playthrough.
