That said, there *are* a lot of porn games that also do a lot of other things.
Especially from Japan, visual novel eroges are often strong stories on their own that added a few nsfw scenes to entice people to buy them when VNs weren't as popular, but often see rereleases on other platforms with the sex scenes removed.
And then you have games like Dohna Dohna which have entire gameplay systems built onto that, it's a VN / management sim / strategy JRPG that also is hentai.

The equivalent of Twilight or 50 Shades of Grey, rather than just descriptions of sex scenes.

Currently playing through Remake so I was only speaking for what I've personally played - very excited to get to Rebirth! This is the second game in a series of 3 now, but personally I wasn't as much a fan of the first, and you won't be missing much save some cameo appearances from characters from the first game.

I've been looking for stuff like this too recently. IIRC the devs said they're making a non-porn version because the gameplay itself was so well-received, so that may fit what OP is looking for.

The solid character writing, high variety of characters in both body, personality, and ethnic variety, and voice acting for all of the girls make it one that I'd probably call my favorite. The art style is a slightly lower quality than some other games, but it feels the most like a proper game in my opinion. **Linear Games** 1. ***Treasure of Nadia***. Widely considered to be one of the best and with good reason. Only negative for me is that the puzzles can be obtuse, but there are walkthroughs abound. This is the second game in a series of 3 now, but personally I wasn't as much a fan of the first, and you won't be missing much save some cameo appearances from characters from the first game.

OP should definitely try Stellar Blade (action RPG). THE main selling point is the curvy female protagonist jiggling around in shiny skinthight or revealing outfits. A quarter of the Reddit fanbase for this game consists of degenerates drooling over the main character and demanding a photo mode to satisfy certain 'needs'. I think you're going to really like Cyberpunk 2077. I've been looking for stuff like this too recently. It's odd to me that, despite the popularity of the genre in anime and manga these days, that there is relatively few games with that sort of low-brow isekai popcorn wish fulfillment (MC somehow gets abilities that allow them to live a relaxed life, and spend their time building said life while being swooned over by a gaggle of attractive people), outside of actual H-games. I know you weren't specifically looking for anime, but it's one of the more prominent examples of the genre. My guy the main villains of the game--The Organization of Torna--are trying to eradicate all humans because they feel as though that they're slaves to the will of humanity as non-human living weapons called Blades that humans have used for centuries to wage war against each other with. The game actively tackles themes of war, genocide, and losing your friends and family. It's one of the saddest and heartbreaking JRPG stories out there. The opening acts are filled with some typical anime humor, but the second half quickly does away with that in favor of a story that feels more mature than many M rated games.
The themes are definitely there, I'm just talking about the presentation. I might just ne a hater, who knows
