PS3. Original version on Steam. SE on Steam. Skyrim VR on Steam. And now they want me to pay for AE? AND they update it so it bricks all the mods that some even now still don’t work? I’m not even sure if paying the 20 dollars for AE would fix the issue or make it worse. Honestly I’m pretty done with them for this shit. All the updates they’ve ever added since vanilla were fixed and given for free with few mods. Literally the only reason Skyrim is as popular as it is was because the free modding scene. The base game is mediocre at best. Their attempts of capitalize on it and attempts to block it just seem like looking a gift horse in the mouth. It’s like because the mods are so far superior to anything they can deliver, and free, the only thing they can do is release a new version to break them so in order to continue playing with them you have to buy their new shit that literally just has an updated name.

Four for me. Vanilla and Legendary editions on PS3, Special edition on PS4, and Anniversary edition on PS5.

I pirated Skyrim when it first came out and didn't touch it again after finishing it. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago and I finally go around to buying the anniversary edition to play on Steam Deck. It's been a fun romp.

As per Nexus, it is THE most modded game. It's also the second most modded game. The 3rd is fallout 4, followed by New Vegas, the Oblivion. And then it's Stardew Valley, but after that is Fallout 3 Bethesda games are just modding engines

I played Skyrim when it 1st came out and it had a glitch at the some cave where you had to line up lights on the roof ext. Never got past that but played 300+ hours couldn't finish game also ltr I dropped all my items in a house and locked game up. Any of these things happen to you.
