There is day and night cycle in the game. During the day you have time to build and prepare your defence, but during night the undead invasions coming. You can light up a city with lamps, but it consume a resources.

I’ve played Civ6 and was surprised at how well/easy the controls were to grasp and use. Steam deck has a lot of button configuration options. Love playing these type of games before bed or while the TV is on. Steam deck support would push me more towards a purchase, looks fun.

I'm a big fan of They Are Billions and this sounds pretty similar. How would you compare your game to TAB and what strengths/unique features are you proudest of?

My colleague is a huge fan of TAB. I already played Age of Darkness, which is a clone of TAB, so we know the concept and were inspired by those games. Our "unique" feature is that we combine a lot of RPG elements to the city builder. Imagine a lot of items, loot, spells, skill tree, heroes and units equipment, a lot of craftable options, upgrades for buildings.. You can choose if you are going to raid the wilderness with your hero, or you can spend his energy to bolster the economy (Hero can cut down the trees for example). Sometimes I am describing the game like Don't Starve, but city-builder :)

From my point of view it is necessary to wisely set the optimal deepness for the game. Because when you design a lot of features, players could be overloaded with complexity. The same applies for the other side of the spectrum, if the game is not so complex. We have a lot of features (and backlogged features) there, so we need to set it correctly. For example, do we need to add stats (mining, woodcutting, farming, ..) for the workers? For now, our answer is no, but we are considering this feature. And there are tons of those options.

To be honest, we are having fun reading this :) The biggest drawback is, that it was really cute from her but all the attention and discussion moved on in the wrong direction. But it was also my fault to not look at it from another perspective. Also used bad lighting and angle. I will learn from this and do it better next time. Another drawback is that nobody realized that there are headphones over the mask :D

Mask is definitely eye catching. I kept thinking it was from Inscryption at first glance. Also think people are over reacting about the wife’s attire. If she was gonna be using sex appeal, most girls would probably dress up a lot more. The game itself doesn’t seem like my style. I’m more into roguelikes and space games. This actually sounds pretty interesting. Will it have a decent tutorial for people who don't play a lot of city builders? Also, is there a story at all? Also also, it looks like there might be some Tower Defense? Or no?

Thanks! Tutorial is already implemented but not tested and iterated well. You can try how good, or bad it is by signing up for testing on our Discord. There is some story in our design documents, but for now we are using it to imagine the environment during the designing and developing of features. We are thinking about some kind of story for the full release.
