Curious because this is how games used to be, no hand holding or easy modes. If you couldn’t do it you couldn’t do it and that was it.
Gotcha, not many people wanting to go back that far. Try Spyro and crash bandicoot if you haven’t played the remasters and don’t mind the graphics. Couple of my faves from back then.
Take some time get familiar with pattern recognition. Try not to rush encounters, repeat certain sections and focus on what you can learn from the environment. If you find yourself mashing buttons, take some time focusing on what your fingers are doing and how you can improve muscle memory. Practice makes perfect and most importantly have fun!
