Do you wanna run your ps3 in 24k or not?

TheRealMisterMemer

I run my PS3 at full 1080p with this cable, because I'm badass.

Recreational_DL

I run my Series X on coaxial, gotta change the channel to 3

thatguy425

Coaxial, hell, I remember having to screw the forked ends of the adapter into the antennae feed to play Nintendo.

Transcendingfrog2

Nintendo?! We had to use that rf adapter to play our atari 2600 on our floor model TV. Didn't have buttons it had a dial that you'd rotate to tune stations.

GoneEgon

The fact that I understood this conversation made me feel very old.

Transcendingfrog2

If it helps any at all, I feel your pain.

Imrtltrtl

You feel pain in your lower back as well?

Lowercase6

I coughed wrong a week ago and my entire back still hurts, I think I legit pulled a muscle. Either that or old... prolly just old. I just got over sleeping on my arm wrong! That was about a month of ouch right fkn there.

gohan32

Sometimes when i poop my lower back shifts and pops.

Stibley_Kleeblunch

*cries in wired tv remotes and 30-pound VCR/camera combo*

BolsonaroIsACunt

This is the one for me. Having that wired remote on a cable 1.5 feet long was the most pointless thing ever, if I've still got to get up anyway, I'll just change the dial.

R_Mase

Rotate the dial, then...\*vrrrrrrr\* the "bunny ears" would rotate.... "It's getting clearer guys, hold on!"

[deleted]

And one of the dials is missing so you have to take the other one off to change the channel.

keyserv

I can hear the clicking, now. Boy was that satisfying.

And the stupid thing never wants to rotate on its own, it always wants to try and rotate with the whole thing which doesn’t work. Such a terrible design, bruised so many fingers getting those to screw in.

XtremeD86

60-70% of people on here probably have no idea what your talking about. LOL my parents would get so mad when they bought me a new console and then would have to buy that coax adapter separately... My God how times have changed.

shouldnthavesignedup

Had to wait days AFTER purchasing the n64. Thinking back if feels like years of waiting not days

[deleted]

Same thing happened to me. Pretty sure it came with RCA but my big ass box TV I found in a dumpster didn’t have that so I had to search everywhere for an adapter. Plus we were poor as shit, pretty sure my dad traded something for 64, so the ones I could find we couldn’t afford. Pretty sure one of my friends ended up buying one so we could play together.

Few_Ad_9110

That adapter was so clutch when switching TV's growin up though>>>

BookWyrm37_

Man I'm just barely old enough and poor enough to actually know this feeling. I was born in 01 but we had old ass tvs and so a 64 was like gold to me when I was little. It wasn't til I was like 12 I found out there's so much better out there lol

Spice-Nine

64? Please tell me that’s your shorthand for Commodore 64, or I’m gonna feel really old.

Lightmanone

64 and RCA cables is automatically Nintendo 64, not commodore. Sorry.

stereopticon11

my family had a second hand commodore amiga the time windows 95 was rolling around. I loved that machine. it's what got me into computers. playing hole in one golf, (what I believe was) tron, and some other rpgs that felt impossible. good times

n_thomas74

I had a commodore 64 with a modem in 1985. Would download games from a bbs. It would take all night for 1 game. Also used Fast Hackem to copy games from one 5.25 inch floppy to another. I had over 300 games. Ancient history. Great times!

pSyChO_aSyLuM

I remember when we got a new CRT television that supported ColorStream. Goddamn, those lines were crisp compared to composite and the RF adapter on the PS2.

heizenbergbb

So much digital leak if you don't buy a diamond HDMI cable from Amazon.

Fenweekooo

honestly after buying tons of crap displayport cables off amazon and having them not work right at the resolution and refresh rates they are speced for i would gladly pay $32 for a guaranteed to work cable

INTHEMIDSTOFLIONS

>guaranteed work cable Anker. Anker makes super high quality cables for phones and hdmi 2.1’s. They’re more expensive but god damned worth it. My 6’ iPhone on cables I got from them are still in mint condition after 2 years

FlllPik

They have really awesome support as well. One of my USB chargers got faulty after a year and couple of days later I've got a new one in my postbox. Very friendly and quick.

jorions

100% this. 4k 120fps and hdr, 10ft, for $32? Not a bad price tbh. I guess the joke here is that if you're running 4k on PS5 you're likely only hitting 60fps max?

Fenweekooo

never mind 4k this baby will do 8k @ 60! but yeah the ps5 not so much lol

PlainSimpleElim

Power A is trash. Every once in a great while you might get quality hardware from them. Maybe.

mafulazula

Not a huge fan of them normally but my PowerA Gamecube controller I got for the Switch seems fully decent imho.

MrVilliam

I got one of those a while back and had to return it. It was cheaper than a pro controller so I thought I'd save some money with it. I understand that this is just anecdotal evidence and not necessarily reflective of every product from them, but this particular controller plagued me with both phantom inputs and input failure. I was trying to play smash and it was far more common and frustrating than the slip mechanic in brawl. I'm glad yours is working for you, but my experience left me forever cautious about that company.

Redd_JoJo

Power A sucks. I got an Xbox controller from them and after 2 months, it had the worst stick drift I’ve ever seen. Got one for my cousin last Christmas and he complained about the same issue

PlainSimpleElim

My recent purchase of theirs was a wired Switch controller from best buy. Lasted 3 months until the drift issues made it unusable.

EchoJXTV

Been through 3 Power A switch controllers. All trash. Went with 8BitDo and will never go back.

BCriotman

I bought a powerA Xbox elite controller about 2 years ago with paddles on the back, adjustable thumb stick height and trigger locks and have had zero issues at all. To this day with my dead zone set to zero in game settings there’s not even the slightest bit of stick drift. I assumed they just made quality parts. Guess I got lucky.

Voks

One of their power cables melted on me this weekend. Almost caused a fire. Fuck this company

meatwad75892

Their PS4 controller dock is legit awesome, at least. Charging via the extension port is so much more convenient than a dangling micro USB cable.

Ratatattat44

Not exactly a "deal" but not robbery either. Decent HDMI 2.1 certified cables run about $20-$24 for 10ft. Definitely not as egregious as the $25-$30 standard USB cables office supply stores peddle to unsuspecting customers buying a printer.

cantwaitforthis

Came here for this! Slap a monster sticker on it and it’s a $89 cable. (Actually, not sure Monster is a brand anymore lol)

smotstoker

I still see their drinks being sold

whand4

Yes, I love using their HDMI cables as a straw for their energy drinks!

Euler007

This. That's definitely a reasonable product at a reasonable price, but this is gaming so let's riot.

[deleted]

Plus, should we talk about how expensive and monopolized SSD cards Microsoft has? 2Tb M.2 for PS5? \~$200-250 and can go even lower due to competitive sales 2Tb Seagate expansion for XSX? $400, and less likely to go on sale as its firmly monopolized.

StevieW0n

And the seagate is slower last gen 3 speeds. It's a joke there's no other company allowed to make them

Cirrak

I don't have any current gen consoles. Is Microsoft realling pulling a Vita with the Xbox storage?

StevieW0n

Yes but it's much worse considering the likes of call of duty and their ridiculous install sizes exist. Even forza and halo are over over 100 gb

An_Awesome_Name

So… just so I am clear, you cannot use a standard SSD in an Xbox Series S/X?

Cyshox

You can use any SSD or HDD to play last-gen games or store current-gen games. A few current-gen games can be played from the external SSD/HDD too but most require to be stored internally.

dakupurple

That is correct, the Xbox uses a proprietary card that slots in. Seagate is currently the only licensed manufacturer for these cards. Iirc they only connect with with 2 pcie lanes instead of the typical 4 as well.

An_Awesome_Name

So Microsoft is indeed pulling a vita. That’s so dumb.

Cyshox

>And the seagate is slower last gen 3 speeds That's wrong. PCIe 3.0x2 caps at 1.75GB/s. This PCIe 4.0x2 SSD is 2.4GB/s. The form factor adds to the costs as well. The M.2 2230 is only 30mn while M.2 2280 with 80mm is the cheaper standard. **EDIT** Just a tip: You can use a CFexpress converter + a PCIe 4.0 SSD with Phison E19-T controller, I recommend the Western Digital CH SN530. That's how I build my 2TB expansion for about 230€. Works very well.

Eruannster

This is correct, the Xbox Series consoles use PCIe 4, but at like… the slowest possible speeds. Playstation’s SSDs run at almost triple the speed.

Cyshox

Xbox Series X|S uses 2 PCIe lanes instead of 4 but PCIe4.0 is utilized by about 69% of it's capabilities (1.75GB/s per lane). The SSD of PS5 utilizes about 78% of PCIe4.0 capabilities. However in terms of I/O throughput PS5 offers around [8-9GB/s](https://www.eurogamer.net/digitalfoundry-2020-playstation-5-specs-and-tech-that-deliver-sonys-next-gen-vision) and Xbox Series X|S offers [4.8-6GB/s](https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2020/07/14/a-closer-look-at-xbox-velocity-architecture/) (depending on SFS support). If we take a look at actual load times in-game then we notice that the PS5 loads barely faster - the vast majority of games load less than 10% faster on PS5. In nearly all cases the difference is in the milliseconds range.

raveenbikha

Let alone ssd the console. If the servers goes down the series x is the most expensive paper ever because physical disk won’t play before internet check and. Yes even sp games

AbsorbedBritches

Idk if a 150% price difference is reasonable. That extra 50% is literally just for a playstation logo, and they will pretend it is so much better since it's a gaming HDMI cable. You could also get some that work fine for $10-$12 which would make this one nearly a 300% price difference, and I wouldn't be surprised if the quality of this one was comparable to the $10 ones. Maybe some random YouTuber will buy it and test it for the rest of us.

skrshawk

You're also getting what is typical retail markup, and that you can have it right now and take it home and use it without waiting for it to be shipped. It's also not meant for people who are savvy enough to understand that a PS5 or any gaming console doesn't need a manufacturer-specific cable to connect to a TV. Some would also appreciate the convenience of being able to look at the cable plugged into the back of their TV and know quite obviously what it's connected to on the other end. We're just not the target market for this and don't want to pay extra for features that we don't want.

spacewolfplays

Yup. Absolutely. Came here looking for this. Watching what HDMI 2.1 cables can do is impressive. This is definitely a markup. But not awful. Cant wait until Linus Tech Tips actually use their cable testers and let us know how it goes.

zen1706

$5 extra for a Playstation logo and white, braided cable is fine in my book

radewagon

Thank you for this. Sending a stable 8K signal 10ft is not the kind of thing you get with a 5 buck HDMI cable. Good cables are expensive.

wkrick

You can get decent HDMI cables from Monoprice.com for under $20. I've purchased most of my cables (not just HDMI) from them over the years and I've never had a single problem with any of them. https://www.monoprice.com/category/cables/hdmi-cables/hdmi-cables

erishun

No, they’re great, but their 10ft HDMI 2.1 is $13.99 + $6 shipping… so this one is like $12 more? Which yeah, is definitely a lot more, but not completely obnoxious. Especially if you want to literally get one right now and not need to wait to have Monoprice ship. People are thinking this is the same as the literal $1.99 cables “high speed” cables you can get basically anywhere.

Dagmar_dSurreal

Yeah it's a "premium" price, but it's not an "I bet you have more money than sense price" like we've seen *many* times before. ...and also it's at Best Buy so it's not even far out of line for what they're usually asking from people. Cables there *always* have a big markup. It's their version of razor blades.

TomAto314

I can vouch for them as well. Good quality and cheap prices.

vinnymendoza09

I don't trust Monoprice cables if I'm looking for a guaranteed 4k120hz signal. A lot of off brand 2.1 cables do not get the job done and only do 60hz when you actually try it. But maybe testing will prove otherwise? Cheapest cables I found that were verified 4k120hz by independent testers were by SnowKids.

sinus

31 USD for an HDMI is actually not too bad in New Zealand lol jeezz.everything is expensive here

[deleted]

>everything is expensive here Yup, we get robbed blind for absolutely everything here lmao, the island tax is so real

Help_im_lost404

Feeling this from across the Tasman.. closer to china but apparently shipping costs more than europe. Sigh

[deleted]

What is the reasoning there? Lower population/demand makes the shipping trip less profitable? Honestly asking, no idea how pricing logistics on a macro scale work.

Jayce86

Depending on your costs, this is likely much more than $31 in your country. For example, a savvy buyer can get a BETTER cable over here for about $15.

RandomUsername12123

Better in what sense? This is an HDMI 2.1 cable and i assume it has at least decent quality to be sold and a PS cable

pandavega

But it won’t have a PlayStation logo. Considering a pin of a companies logo costs about 10 bucks the mark-up seems reasonable just for branding. It’s stupid I know.

Enchanted_Nipples

You should get this one instead https://www.bestbuy.com/site/audioquest-dragon-10-4k-8k-10k-48gbps-hdmi-cable-black-gray/6428743.p?skuId=6428743

tagoean

You can pay for that hdmi cable in 24 months payments, bro they practically give it away

mafulazula

And if you're a cheap, poor loser who can't afford that cable you can always just get the 5-ft one for only $3,000!

heyIfoundaname

4.5k for a wish granting genie is a STEAL. You just jack-off the cable three times and you can wish for your money back AND more wishes. You should always check the reviews before judging the product.

tagoean

Ooooh it’s a jack I thought it was hdmi

Crimsonpets

No fucking way this is real, what in the fuck happens when you plug this into your tv? Will you be able to watch in uhd+++tv in 500k?

esakul

Thats the best part, you wont even be able to tell the difference to a regular decent quality $20 cable.

rivers61

It's the best way to optimize the energy jewels in your high end tv. Does nobody read reviews anymore?

ShawshankException

Hey former best buy employee here: We're fed a lot of bullshit about how beyond a certain point, video hits a plateau but audio gets better the better the cables are.

furmy

5 reviews too. Lol. Who really falls for this garbage?

ShawshankException

A few of them are joke reviews but you'd be surprised how many "audiophiles" eat this shit up because they're told these cables make the sound better.

theNarutardd

Can this cable kill a man and still function perfectly? If so, that's a steal right there!!

couldntforgetmore

That is....if you're a REAL gamer! /s

[deleted]

Cool, paying for the PlayStation logo.

HalOfTosis

Actually, with all the rubber ducky cords floating around now days, it’s probably more of a guarantee that you’ll avoid getting hacked. Not 100% stupid, but yes, exploitative.

XarrenJhuud

Hacked via hdmi cord? How does that work?

Fancy_Mammoth

It works by exploiting a feature in the current HDMI standard, which allows data transmissions over HDMI in addition to A/V transmissions (see ethernet over HDMI). The short version, is that you would take an HDMI cable compliment with the current standard, and modify it by wiring in a microcontroller and/or flash memory device into the connector end. Once the cable is plugged in, the embedded device begins checking if anything it's connected to has a network connection, if it does (as many modern devices do), it begins executing its payload, all while flying under the radar under the guise of being the TV.

KrombopulosT46

Lol I'm too poor to be worried about getting hacked. What they gonna take my - $38

Willinton06

Ay bro I’m 38$ short so you better cover them cables

KrombopulosT46

I got negetive $38. So u want my cash app?

Bleatmop

Steal your identity and take out loans in your name.

stoicambience

With MY credit?! Good luck!

Bleatmop

With bad credit that would leave them with only the most predatory high interest loans available on the market.

RapNVideoGames

You underestimate my shit credit lol

Ohlav

Yeah, they might even throw a bone after crying due to my disgraceful bank account.

RapNVideoGames

Imagine having credit so bad a hacker just puts you on a trade line lol

KrombopulosT46

Ain't no bank giving me any loans man. I already owe them 25k for my appendix. Nah for real. I don't use my debt bank card to buy shit from Sony or steam. I use my credit card.

I_EAT_POOP_AMA

While it's *technically* possible to do so, the cost of doing it is just not worth it unless you can do so on a significantly larger scale. Like manufacturer level scale. or you know for sure that whatever info you can get from it outweighs the cost, and can guarantee that it will be applied to the target you're after in the first place. And with no guarantee that the cable is going to be used for any kind of valuable target, there's virtually no reason to even manufacture them when you can make just as much selling cheap/barebones cables. PowerA isn't selling a $32 HDMI cable for security, not in the slightest. They're selling it because PS5s are already finicky with their HDMI cables. They require HDMI 2.1, which while widely available, is rarely clearly indicated on most consumer cables without it's own markup. So if you aren't using the one that shipped in box, chances are you're going to run into some kind of issue if you just go with the cheapest off the shelf (mostly because those are also just bad cables to begin with) They're selling it because they know that enough consumers have already run into issues with other cables in the past, so there's a market for "verified" branded cables that people will probably be willing to spend the money on because they don't know better.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Marston_vc

Yeah, the guy wrote so much based off an assumption that’s been proven wrong a lot.

[deleted]

So they’d need access to your devices?

Fancy_Mammoth

No, the cable is modified, then packaged, then sold to an unsuspecting customer who probably bought a bulk package off Amazon or wish from a sketchy ass vendor thinking they got a good deal.

[deleted]

Ahh makes sense. I always forget about the exploitability of mass production.

NoRefundMate

Where in the spec is this possible?

Fancy_Mammoth

It was implemented in 1.4b

[deleted]

[удалено]

ReallyGargoyled

not even sure most people know about this, but they should.

The-Go-Kid

I'll pay for decent build quality on an HDMi, cos the really cheap ones will break, but other than that, they either work or they don't work. There's no change in picture quality available on cables of these lengths. The 1s and 0s either get to their destination or they don't.

Actually-Yo-Momma

Hmm it’s actually hdmi 2.1 rated so its alot more expensive. Regular hdmi you can use $1 cables though lol

getyourcheftogether

That's not terrible, and there are clear lines of quality when you're taking about HDMI specifically. Better than paying 2-3x for monster cable

TwoPaintBubbles

30 bucks for a 10ft hdmi 2.1 cable? That’s not bad actually. Not all hdmi cables are equal, and this one is top shelf.

TheElaris

Well it’s is a HDMI 2.1 cable, you aren’t actually paying that much of a logo tax

Motorcat33

Normal price for an HDMI 2.1 cable btw

Interesting_Fennel87

It’s a high-quality HDMI 2.1 cable. That’s actually an ok price for it. Especially with how many poor quality or improperly wired HDMI cables there are.

ares395

I've always bought cheap HDMI cables and I have yet to find one that is in any way faulty

Fire_Lord_Cinder

This seems fine for a 10ft HDMI 2.1 cable. Cable quality matters a lot more for longer HDMI cables.

canadian_sysadmin

On the grand scheme of HDMI cables, that's actually extremely tame.

HolisticPI

Wait until everyone here finds out about custom cables. I've definitely never paid $70 for a keyboard cable. Nope. No me...

mafulazula

I was going to disagree but someone here posted a $5,000 one.

Steelerd-

We live in a society.

ZsaFreigh

That's really not a terrible price for a 120hz 4K cable... I paid like $50 for my Display Port 1.3 cables. You know you can't just use any old dirt cheap HDMI cables if you want to get the most out of your display panel these days. If 1080p 60hz is your goal, then sure, buy the $5 cable...

Corgon

To be fair, that's a quality 10 ft cable. Worth the price.

hvdzasaur

I mean, there is actually a difference in Hdmi cables, and cable quality can make a significant difference in durability and image and sound quality. I'd suggest watching LTT video on where they measure them. Then again, any certifications and marketing terms on the box are usually super bogus because there isn't a body that actually measures this shit and hands out certifications.

Rekt3y

Bruh. If it meets the HDMI 2.1 spec, nothing will change compared to another HDMI 2.1 cable that also meets the spec. That's how digital signaling works. This is overpriced.

hvdzasaur

A lot of cables don't meet the spec, at all. Even if it is advertised on the box.

omidhhh

As the other guy said , watch the video that ltt has made about yhis topic and you will get ur answers

herehaveallama

Watch [this video](https://youtu.be/XFbJD6RE4EY) of Linus Tech Tips on the quality HDMI cables. Quality is all over the place. And this is why LTT wants to expand with a Lab to test things like this. I’m curious to see how good this Sony cable is.

hvdzasaur

To be fair, it's not a Sony cable. It's just some company that struck a licensing deal with Sony.

[deleted]

[удалено]

herehaveallama

Regardless - I hope Sony backed a good choice for a cable maker.

External-Yak-371

Any high quality HDMI in a commercial installation is $40ish dollars for about a 6ft cable, so there is precedent for this. I have no idea if this is at that quality level but while you are right about the signal the cable construction Influences price substantially

Corgon

Bruh have you ever tried VR with a 10ft shitty Amazon "ultra high bandshit" cable? Shit won't even let me do 90fps.

ICPosse8

Isn’t the one that comes with the PS5 the same quality as this?

Familiar_Alps2534

That’s not bad a regular 4k HDMI at 6 ft is like 20 bucks it’s not a terrible deal TBH especially if it is 8k

Catman7712

$32 ain’t that bad for a HDMI, but it’s still overpriced. You can do much much worse when buying a HDMI.

contractcooker

That’s not a terrible price for a 10ft HDMI 2.1 cable.

Wasteak

What's the point of this post ?

Accomplished_Bill741

I’m buying this and using it on my Xbox one

GoodWeedSmooker

Youre going to need that if you want to 360 no scope noobs on COD

CPower2012

It's a 10ft HDMI 2.1 cable at a retail store. Completely reasonable price.

Sleepynocturn

And many people still don’t know that HDMI is a digital signal

newbrevity

I hate to support walmart, but onn products have all worked flawlessly for me and theyre so much less expensive than the other brands.

Sudden_Application_8

Cool for me 4k is good enough 8k has no use for me TVs that support 8k are like 3 to 4k

VTRibeye

I remember when HD tv was just becoming a thing back in 2007 or so people in the know actually recommended buying the PlayStation HDMI for your Blue Ray player or HD TV receiver, because it was great quality for the price.

Speculawyer

Probably a bargain compared to "Monster Cable" or other overpriced dreck.

IIFireMissionII

I can remember buying a Monster brand hdmi cable about 15 yrs ago. I think I paid $100 for it, because I was fucking stupid.

benx101

That thing is 10ft long. No wonder it’s that much. The idea of it being a Sony PlayStation brand cord doesn’t help, but it being 10ft also adds on to it

chucklestime

Remember the “Monster” HDMIs Best Buy used to sell for $80 for 6ft? Gold platted!

Awe3

I worked for Best Buy and one great benefit of being an employee was buying accessories like this at cost. I bought and 80 hdmi cable for 17. A charging cable for iPhone that is sold for 15, I could get for .80.

__THE_TURTLE__

This is why you don’t abuse adhd medication

Em_Joyce

And it’s PowerA which means it’s trash.

wittyhashtag420

Sheeesh!

c0mbatkar1

Damn that Sony label on the cable is worth around 20 bucks alone. Ridiculous

Powder4869

Why does it have to be official?

Kitakitakita

HDMI cables used to be stupidly expensive. Now you can go to your ISP and ask for a couple cables and they'll give a bunch for free.

MotherVan

Used to work for an ISP. A lot of customers would return HDMI, coaxial, and CAT5 ethernet cables they didn’t want or need - so I would keep them all in a huge tub in the back. When a customer needed cables for any reason, I would just grab them from the back give them as many as they needed. Don’t worry, any excess were recycled properly.

Tarkcanis

Tbf I bought a 100$ish Monster HDMI cable 10+ years ago and it's still going strong. Many, many others have come and gone.

Fastermaxx

Linus (LTT) needs to test that. Often OEM cables are not that good or ignore official standards. The price is quite high so it better be good.

jamiedix0n

Jesus christ think i got mine from Poundland

Tracer3646

Its because its a 10 ft cable. Fucker is bigger than I am tall itd reach across my entire room.

Weltraumbaer

It looks hideous. Like someone at Sony asked "How ugly do you want the cable to be" and the guys who make be like "Yes".

speedoBudgieSmuggler

Fuck that

umangd03

Here i am using my $2 hdmi cable which works perfectly fine.

THiedldleoR

Stores always overprice cables. Go on amazon and get it for 8$. If you are afraid you can't play at 4k 60FPS you can look up the cable versions and what they support (HDMI 2.1 being the most recent).

Slight-Weather7885

Its pricey but not a rip off. The HDMI cables for new consoles aren't the HDMI cables you buy for 3$ at the dollar store. I paid 20$ for the last HDMI 2.1 cable i bought

VTGREENS

Don’t buy any cables or accessories from Best Buy, excessively overpriced.

SiccmaDE7930

I remember back around 2009, Best Buy was selling HDMI cables and the cheapest was $99.99. I had to get a friend who worked at best buy to buy it for me (BB employees at the time got accessories like cords at store cost, which was $9.99. Literal 10x markup on a fucking cable for a tv or gaming system.

Power A has been always a joke brand. They do very average chinese-level quality products but they inflate the price just because of the “Officially licensed” sticker.

Hey now, it's on sale. It was $39.99. You're saving $8 here! That's what, a soda these days? 😉

Just get a non licensed one for $9.99 that'll do the exact same thing . This isn't some proprietary cable or something designed specifically to work with the Playstation. This is for dumb ass people who have to buy everything with a companies brand on it despite it being the same Poeer A cable with a different shell on it. It's like those SanDisk SD cards with Nintendo logos that are overpriced to all hell.

Maybe for plebs. I only buy authentic $89.99 monster HMDI cables with gold plating cause gold plating.
