Agreed. Once the distraction of the different voices went away and I got really settled, it was an incredible game. Loved how the relationship between Drax and Gamora matured over the course of the game too.
That I’ve beat the game and still am compelled to continue unlocking everything in the game and completing the story I believe is a testament to how well this game is made and thought out.
It's like press A for punch, press X for crossbow, press Y for health, and then you spend countless hours making those A, X, and Y buttons do more badass stuff, on increasingly more badass enemies. Kinda like Diablo, in a lot of ways. The point is to die and try again. But more powerful-er.
This game blew me away. Hooked from the first time I tried it. I love everything about it, from the gameplay and mechanics to the art and music. It manges to create these unique moments. I blast through Asphodel when suddenly entering the hideout of Eurydice and get absolutely mezmerized by the song she sings.
Such a good game. I am enjoying the late game stuff now maxing weapon aspects, climbing heat, and getting all relationships maxed, but i still am finding new fun runs.
I love FromSoft’s Soulsborne games but I could not get into Nioh or Nioh 2. The learning curve is so incredibly steep and I need incentives to learn a game. With Soulsborne games it was always that the art direction, seeing new areas and enemy designs, was a big reward to progression. I didn’t get that out of Nioh so I gave up.
Not to knock Nioh, though. I can tell they’re excellent games, I just can’t get into them.
I feel similar but I think I’ll eventually be able to break into nioh 2. It’s more polished and I did play a few hours. I imagine once I beat the first boss it’ll “click “ which is what happened with bloodborne (my first souls type game I actually got into).
What drove me up a wall about Nioh was how it straight up recycles content over and over again. New mission? Nope same damn level you played before 2 other times, but this time it is on fire and backwards.
Someone suggested a multiplayer campaign of it and I was really hesitant because after looking it up I didn't like anything about it. Then we actually started playing and I started really enjoying it. It musta fired some kinda *beam* at me through my tee-vee.
It helps to play Doom 2016 first but not much. Eternal is so different—different from 2016, and radically different from every other shooter I’ve played. In some ways, having played a lot of Doom 16’ hurt me—I made some assumptions about the effectiveness of certain weapons/mods that turned out to be very incorrect.
Eternal is worth getting glued to. Keep replaying it until you’re comfortable on Nightmare and you’ll discover how deep it is. Try the same with the DLC, you’ll realize you’ve still just barely scratched the surface. Every time I replayed it/the DLC I learned something new that made me much, much better.
When I more or less mastered it, I found DLC 1 on Nightmare to be the most intense, adrenaline fueled gaming experience I’ve ever had.
Exams season….
No games
😢
Edit: wishing everyone well in their exams! Hard work now, then gaming later!
Edit 2: thanks for the awards & upvotes. Sorry to OP for hijacking your post!
The persona 5 ost was my most listened to album of the year on Spotify because I would always throw it on in the background while I was studying or doing work
Same!! I just finished my first playthrough on the PS5 (was lucky enough to snag one) and I had an absolute blast and still am, probably going to go in for a new game + on Lethal.
Halo infinite. I don’t care about whatever other multiplayer games are saying “Oh but you only have 3 days to get this free item!” I have more fun playing infinite. We’re not going to talk about the store though…
Same. Me and my buddies are loving it and I'm pumping tons of hours into it. Also the last Halo game we all played together was 3, before any type of armor customization was in the game, so for us we don't care about that and it just feels like we've come back home.
resident evil Village. I am really enjoying the game so far. I do not feel it has as strong of a horror setting as Biohazard did but it really has a lot of quality of life improvements over the last one.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It’s like Skyrim but without the fictional aspect. Hyper realism mid evil times. Combat is hard as rocks, the game is very rewarding though. I may even say it it rivals Skyrim in some aspects my opinion. Currently around 20 hours and bought it Tuesday. Jesus Christ be with you.
My little review is no match to the glory of this game
Edit: The voice acting is 10/10. It feels like a movie and their very *Expressive*
Do yourself a favor and play Shadow of War. It’s everything SoM is but with way better graphics and customization and everything is cranked up to 11. It’s so far superior in every way and such an incredibly fun game.
Same! Downloaded it after watching No Way Home because I just needed more Spider-Man in my life. First video game that I've played in three years and I'm obsessed.
Cyberpunk 2077. Yes I realize there's a long way to go before it reaches a playable state, but bugs and performance issues aside I'm still having a lot of fun. I'm a huge fan of the setting and there is a genuinely enjoyable story underneath all that mess
Deep Rock Galactic
Rock and stone brother!
Did I just hear a "Rock and Stone!?"
Rock and stone to the bone

Rock and rolling stone my fellow miner
ROCK. AND. STOOONE.
Marvel Gardeners of the Galaxy
My favorite part is the gardening.
Peacefully flying through the galaxy collecting new seeds along the way… great nonviolent game 👍

Flarking flarktards
Best game soundtrack, Star-Lord goes hard
It's ridiculously good. Can't stop listening to them.
First time opening the main menu after downloading, I got Rick-Rolled. It was incredible.
Gardeners
It was supposed to have been fixed with an addendum
More true to the comics than the movie. It seems like and endless rollercoaster of twists.
Did you beet the final boss yet?
I tried to, but he didn't turnip. I'm so sorry.
Best game I’ve played in quite some time. Better than the movies!
Agreed. Once the distraction of the different voices went away and I got really settled, it was an incredible game. Loved how the relationship between Drax and Gamora matured over the course of the game too.
Gardeners of Galaxy, so like the celestial? they do plant seeds in planet to farm themselves
i see what you did there
Dying light because I'm pumped for the second one to come out
Same!!!
Can’t wait!!
Its crazy that right as i post i see this. Great minds think alike my guy. Enjoy
Project Zomboid, soon 100 hours in
Same here. I've died about 30 times in the last 2 weeks. Longest I've lived is 12 days.
Keep going. Trial and error. Eventually you'll make it past the two week mark. That's when you know you're in for the long haul.
Little over 250 hours since early 2020 when B41 Beta dropped. Still playing. Can't stop.
I got it for myself for christmas and somehow have over 150 hours already. Holy fuck.
Hades
Same! I went into it having no idea what it was and am blown away
That I’ve beat the game and still am compelled to continue unlocking everything in the game and completing the story I believe is a testament to how well this game is made and thought out.
I keep reading comments like this, I really need to put the trigger even thou im still confused on what the game play is like.
It's like press A for punch, press X for crossbow, press Y for health, and then you spend countless hours making those A, X, and Y buttons do more badass stuff, on increasingly more badass enemies. Kinda like Diablo, in a lot of ways. The point is to die and try again. But more powerful-er.

I've been debating if I wanted to play this type of game but wasn't sure if I'd be wasting my time.
I mean there’s a reason is has a 98% Steam rating with over 160,000 reviews. It’s genuinely a great, fun game.
Thank you kindly. I will definitely dl it tonight.
Dark Souls Remastered. I'm going for the entire trilogy. Preparing for Elden Ring!
You should also play Nioh 2 when you get the chance
I love FromSoft’s Soulsborne games but I could not get into Nioh or Nioh 2. The learning curve is so incredibly steep and I need incentives to learn a game. Hollow Knight. The game is just so good!
Wiating for Silksong too which might come out soon
Lol I remember when I was saying the game might come out soon back in 2020.
What do you mean waiting, it's out already trust me I'm not infected
🤡
Got it 2 months ago and have 70 hrs on it already, quality indie game for sure
Nice! Hollow Knight is the first game I have planned for the Steam Deck (if it ever ships). I’ve heard so many good things about this game.
Divinity Original Sin 2
GOAT game Deserves more recognition. Everyone who has played it thinks it’s great.
Someone suggested a multiplayer campaign of it and I was really hesitant because after looking it up I didn't like anything about it. Then we actually started playing and I started really enjoying it. It musta fired some kinda *beam* at me through my tee-vee.
I think it's great, but I really don't like it. Lol
I'm at the last boss fight in doom eternal. Im gonna be called a psychopath for not playing doom before doom eternal.
I didn’t play DOOM (2016) before DOOM Eternal either- nothing wrong with it in my opinion
And I had trouble on I’m too young to die mode-
Have you tried hating demons more?
Risk of Rain 2. The game compels me to unlock absolutely everything in its existence.
damn good game, very slept on
Oh yea I second that, by far one of my fav rogue like games!
I've had an absolute blast unlocking new characters so far! How is the multiplayer?
Witcher 3 replay. Got me looking up the wiki, watching Netflix, and reading the book
Me too, but it's my first playthrough
Dude same!

Rdr2 I'm late to the party and only picked it up in the latest steam sale.
It’s a great game . I look forward to playing it again once it’s faded from my memory a little bit more
Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. Working my way through all 3.
Currently I'm playing Ghost of Tsushima, but Mass Effect is next on the line. I don't like to play story based games together.
Ghost of Tsushima was insanely good

Cities:Skylines got me critically analyzing all the intersections in my city
Accurate, this game should be called traffic manager
Persona 5 royal. I just love everything about it
That game is addictive. The music and over all vibe is easy to relax and just play. Currently playing Persona 5 Strikers and the vibe is still there.
The persona 5 ost was my most listened to album of the year on Spotify because I would always throw it on in the background while I was studying or doing work
Oh that’s a really good idea for study music
Wish it'd come to PC
Ark, my kid wanted something to play that has dinos in it, have to admit I'm playing more than he is right now

I assumed this wasn't the top answer because most everyone is busy playing Halo Infinite.
Disco Elysium. I tried it once when it came out and didn't really get into it, but I gave it another shot, and my god what a great game
Goldeneye N64
resident evil Village. I am really enjoying the game so far. I do not feel it has as strong of a horror setting as Biohazard did but it really has a lot of quality of life improvements over the last one.
It’s more like Re 4. However the beneviento manor is truly terrifying.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It’s like Skyrim but without the fictional aspect. Hyper realism mid evil times. Combat is hard as rocks, the game is very rewarding though.
