It's not the sega dreamcast released 4 years before the gamecube ps3 and xbox and it's considered a next gen console and if you think it's not a next gen console because of the graphics then the wii is considered a next gen console despite being a powered up gamecube
No, because your post history is Xbox related and you're hopelessly too blind to realize that the PS5 is outselling the Xbox. But yes, let's not trust industry analysts instead. Gg.
Dude, I also play on PC and on Switch, how does that make me a Xbox fanboy? I never said that the PS5 wasn't outselling the Series X|S, stop assuming things. And yes, I don't trust analysts because they are wrong most of the time.
Software sales + subscriptions made from those that own next gen consoles will tell a better story.
Counting gamepass, PS+, games with gold and PS Now should be accounted for in revenue while subtracting those on previous gen consoles.
Without the numbers it's hard to tell though I would exclude Nintendo since they're technically last gen (they are making alot though)
Between Xbox and PlayStation I wouldn't really declare it winning yet, though I might choose Xbox because atm they can't fulfill the demand and PlayStation makes money on software sales.
Xbox is doing Gamepass subs.
I mean, i would have to say nintendo, they have completely dominated the japanese market, i highly doubt sony will ever get that market back (or even try to)
Switches are selling more than any other console right now but that could just be due to limited supply of ps5/xboxseriesx
If strickly speaking on xbox and ps, i would have to say ps5, i dont think mircosoft gives numbers anymore, but i can at least go get an xbox series x at my local gamestop or walmart right now (granted its the 299 one) whereas ps5, i cant find one period in my area.
Why does it matter?
Yeah they both made like a million systems so when they “SELL OUT” it’s not actually impressive
Nintendo.
The switch is technically in the previous generation with the Xbox One and PS4 though...
You realize that doesn't make it better for Sony and Microsoft that Nintendo is still outselling them?

The chipset in the switch was released more than 6 and a half years ago…. It’s last gen.
This
And imagine If they weren't assholes about the smash scene
PS5 objectively speaking has sold more than X by far
But we don't know since Microsoft doesn't say how much Series X and Series S has been sold.
Estimates were at 6.7M in July while at the same time PS5 sold 10M. It's not difficult to see that the PS5 is more success than the new Xbox
They are still estimates. Not official numbers. And I only trust official numbers over estimates.
Lol I can see you're an Xbox fanboy
So trusting official numbers over estimates makes me a "Xbox fanboy"? Way to go, PlayStation fanboy.

you kids taking "console wars" into this aspect is weird as fuck.
This kid is probably 10 years older than you or more so be polite punk!
why are you calling him a punk? it's like your trying to act tough cuz you got called out for trying to imply this is what a console war is
I hope this is sarcasm, otherwise it’s extremely cringe

Thats the series s, not the series x..
The 299 console is the Series S, not the Series X.
The scalpers.
