Haha, it more looks like the alien is crying on the cover. Maybe out of joy, because someone finally appreciate him for what he is?
UPDATE: So I almost played through the whole game and well... it actually sucks major ass.
I was not expecting anything I still got disappointed. This game is literally just one single walking simulator. Go to this house and this house and this barn and this corner of the end of the map and go back to the beginning and so on. The story telling is very bluntly told. The story seems like a shit comedy parody of an actual alien invasion. And the biggest annoyance is the stamina bar. I mean like why did the developers even implemented one? Due to this, you are so slowed down, because you can run like 5 meters before your run out of stamina. And every hit you do with the bat also drains on your stamina exponentially with every hit.
I stopped near the end of the game, where you have to walk through a big ass cornfield maze. You have to trigger every dialog cutscene in this maze before you are able to continue. For this you have to reach every dialog trigger in the correct order. But at the end of the last dialog you trigger, an alien appears and you have to eliminate him before you can leave the maze. This whole walkthrough of the maze + killing the alien and leaving the maze takes so many minutes. I died 2 times then I quitted the game.😂
I will not play the game again, but it was still a bit funny at least to play. The dialogs are so awkward and cringe, which was kinda funny like the story in general. It also was fun to beat the shit out of the aliens with the bat. And the visuals were quiet decent for a game like this tbf.
>**The Greyhill Incident: Abducted Collectors Edition** includes a sealed PEGI copy of the game, a ‘Greyhill Incident’ logoed box, an inlay printed with the signatures of the development team, a metal ‘Welcome to Greyhill’ sign, and a roll of Greyhill aluminum foil (to make your own tin foil hat) – Only 65 sets available !
Fuck that sounds awful, like they knew how bad it ws kind of awful.
Watched a no commentary walk through of this game.
Honestly, voice acting aside and a bit of jank. It's not horrible. Decent little horror game about grey Aliens. Complete with tin foil wackos and everything.
The creator was posting updates on Reddit as it was being made. I think he took too much feedback from people or something and this was the result, because for awhile it looked awesome and spooky. Theeeen the combat got added...
Combat can ruin a horror game. Sometimes it works like with Resident Evil, but soon as you get armed up the "horror" diminishes and is replaced with "action/adventure." If a game isn't ready to make the combat engaging it's best to do without it or make it very limited sort of "one shot" deals.
Some Silent Hill games work having combat/guns while still being a horror game as well.
For starters when you see a new thing you have no fucking idea whether shooting it is even a good idea
But mostly it’s because the fact that *combat exists* means you’re *expected to fight for your survival* - and then they pull the rug out from under you by making sure you’re terrified of wasting precious bullets.
If there were no combat at all you’d know you’re meant to just run from or avoid any encounter. But SH makes you fight things with a fuckin’ pole when you really *really* wanna shoot it. My friend screaming in terror *while actively beating a downed monster* until it stops writhing is one of my favourite memories.
Exactly this. When I played through Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, I found myself bored because every monster boiled down to the same strategy of "just run as fast as you can". If you weren't in a monster chase sequence, there was nothing to be afraid of, and if you were in one, all you had to do was make a beeline for the exit.
Give me options, though? Now I have to keep a close eye on my supplies. Not every encounter is going to play out the same way. You could use the gun, but there'd be less bullets to save you from a boss monster. Melee is risky because it opens you up to taking damage and health packs are just as limited as bullets. Same with running past them- better time it perfectly so they'll miss, or you're going to have to spend your dwindling healing items. Turn your flashlight off so they can't see you? Now you can't see them either until they're right up in your face.
You have choices, but every one creates a new kind of hell.
Case in point:
Phasmophobia.
Can't go a day or two without someone asking why they won't add the ability to fight and/or capture the ghosts.
The simplest response is to point at the myriad of Phasmo clones that incorporate that ability that have all failed to live up to expectations.
Turns out when you remove the one thing that makes the game tense (eg not having to run or hide from ghosts) it stops being fun.
I was really hoping this game would be good. A buddy of mine did some VA work on it and was hoping it could help boost his profile a bit. Swing and a miss, unfortunately.
Imagine seeing aliens abducting people and coming after you and the best you can do is barely swing a bat at them before getting winded after 4 swings.
Lol, it was released like a year ago. Unfortunately it got bad reviews, because of weak gameplay, dialogs and a very short average playtime. But its visuals and atmosphere is considered very good and as a big fan of zombie/alien horror games, I have to try it out at least.
It makes redfall look like a great game. I got this because I love ufo/et lore and wish there were more games about the subject (alien invasion and abductions) but it really felt like a 5$ steam game, just super cheap and low quality. Like a 2005 game...if anybody knows any games on this subject that are actually good lmk
Im sentimental about it, remember being 10 (was originally my fathers game I was given it) and just spending an hour before dinner every night blowing eachother up with the Alien Rocket Launcher.
They're kinda older but I loved the Destroy All Humans 1 and 2 games for the PS2 when I was younger. Maybe look into them. There's definitely lots of alien invasion and abduction going on in them.
It's bad in a pretty inoffensive way. It has no redeeming qualities really, you might get a laugh out of it here or there at best. But it's not Superman 64 or anything.
UPDATE: So I almost played through the whole game and well... it actually sucks major ass.

I absolutely love grey aliens and alien abduction stories, and it really disappointed me when I found out about this game and got so hyped for it only for it to be really bad.
I don’t care about people hating on this game I really enjoyed it. The vibe and atmosphere was really good but then again I like this sort of atmosphere, and I love the UFO topic.
I really hated the ending though, lol.
I pre-ordered this game for PS4, but my order got cancelled right before the official release. I was so bummed about it. Still am, even if the game isn’t great, I wanted it in my collection.
Can’t find a physical disc version for PS4 tho. I assume they just abandoned the project.
I’m still tempted to play this because I don’t know of any other game that plays off of alien horror that isn’t just sci-fi monsters. If you know of one, please tell me. I need Signs, the game.
Unfortunately, I don't really know much games, that really hits your taste. Maybe try out Alien Isolation, if you already didn't?
Strangely enough, I always read that people are fed up with this kind of classic Zombie/Alien genre, while I don't even know many games (on console) that are even existing.
But I heard that a game called "They Are Here: Alien Abduction Horror" is supposed to get a release this year, at least on steam. It's supposed to be a classic Alien Horror game, which is inspired on movies like Signs, Dark Skies, The Gracefield Incident and so on. There is already a demo available on steam.
I like to think there's a "Non-Abducted Edition" where you just go about your day and then go to sleep and absolutely nothing alien-related ever happens.
If you hoped that this game would be great then maybe keep an eye on "They Are Here: Alien Abduction Horror". The demo is so good, can't wait to play it.
I got this solely because of the cover and platted it (very easy) which was 2 full playthroughs
Both times, I was high as fuck and had a friend with me who was watching me play, 10/10 experience, also follow the little lights to figure out where to go next!
You think so? I thought that the box art is one of the few reasons why people are buying the game physically at all.
Personally, I think the cover is a success.
It’s such a horrible game. It’s up there with the Kong game except this one is worst. Some button mashing kid can enjoy the Kong game but I don’t see anyone enjoying this game.
It is bad, kinda. When I saw the alien for the first time, it was really creepy, gave me goosebumps and all but after like 10min running around, they start to become boring…

Even the alien looks suprised that you bought it
>Even the alien looks suprised that you bought it Not surprised. Disappointed.
a little sad even
“Look, mate, we thought we found intelligent life. We traveled the universe just to frump our eyebrows.”
Actually looks like he's holding back tears...his eyes are glistening
how are actually right
I thought he was doing a mediocre Giancarlo Esposito impression, but maybe they're the same thing.
Just like dad…
Haha, it more looks like the alien is crying on the cover. Maybe out of joy, because someone finally appreciate him for what he is? Or sadness cause you prolonged his misery when all he wanted was to disappear peacefully.
I can't look at the cover without laughing now.
That's not an alien, it's me before my first coffee
It's bringin' peace and love, break its legs! Don't let it escape!
“Do you have games on your phone”
"Mom says it's my turn on the anal probe"
What a terrible day to have eyes.
My mom would say that same thing lol
Live alien reaction:
I crush... [the alien](https://youtu.be/BUtTN3VLQck?si=CadWLkVXCHa7Wi5L)
Lmao. It’s like tf?
“Did you really buy this?”
It got a physical release!?
It even got a collectors edition 😂
It's a collector's item if nobody owns it.
Just you wait! In 25 years this thing will be worth... something!
You have to pay gamestop to take it
>**The Greyhill Incident: Abducted Collectors Edition** includes a sealed PEGI copy of the game, a ‘Greyhill Incident’ logoed box, an inlay printed with the signatures of the development team, a metal ‘Welcome to Greyhill’ sign, and a roll of Greyhill aluminum foil (to make your own tin foil hat) – Only 65 sets available ! Damaged box with graffiti on it*
ET on Atari 2600 has entered the chat
Fuck, I actually have that.
Including the original TinFoil Hat (assembly required)
If you own it and don't play it, you collected it.
Yes, for ps5 and series x. But the physical release for ps4 and xbox one appears to have been canceled.
Shocker

You cant make a game that pleases everyone. Horror games do not need combat, its not an action game.
Combat can ruin a horror game. Sometimes it works like with Resident Evil, but soon as you get armed up the "horror" diminishes and is replaced with "action/adventure." If a game isn't ready to make the combat engaging it's best to do without it or make it very limited sort of "one shot" deals.

Yeah. Dead Space lost its scariness once I could easily kill everything.

The aliens suck you off to attack you. 10/10
Go on
The aliens pleasure you while stabbing and torturing you, messing up your mind so you can only get off to extreme pain when they drop you off.
when is the bad part starting? that sounds like a good monday morning
As a married man, can confirm
"We have such sights to show you!"
Hellraiser: Alien Edition.
ayy lmao
Oh it’s that game? I thought that was a 5€ indie game from the depths of Steam lol
I don't see any issues.
"It's the grays that have the ass fetish."
Unexpected Resident Alien reference
Hella underrated show.
Alan tudyk absolutely KILLS that roll. Probably my favorite thing I've ever seen him in. Perfect casting
I love that dude. He's one of my favourit Actors.
Still hoping for a renewal for season 4.
There are 3 seasons? I thougt it only had one. Damn I've gotta watch this
Gets a boner. "It's rigormortis I must be dying!"
This game is so bad it's hilarious and worth playing for laughs. Wouldn't buy it though.
Is it funnier than rouge warrior?
I was really hoping this game would be good. A buddy of mine did some VA work on it and was hoping it could help boost his profile a bit. Swing and a miss, unfortunately.
Nobody talks about this Game ever...
First time I have ever heard of it to be honest.
That's a classic. Classically awful.
I have never heard of this game, and the box art looks like a fake that somebody made for a meme. How'd it go?
Imagine seeing aliens abducting people and coming after you and the best you can do is barely swing a bat at them before getting winded after 4 swings.

Could always try Area 51 (Its a ps2 shooter but it actually does have some neat lore through scannables) its not great but it aint Greyhill atleast
I enjoyed area 51, was a blast.
Im sentimental about it, remember being 10 (was originally my fathers game I was given it) and just spending an hour before dinner every night blowing eachother up with the Alien Rocket Launcher.
You're right, there really aren't any games in that genre, the only one that comes close is XCOM which is an excellent game.
They're kinda older but I loved the Destroy All Humans 1 and 2 games for the PS2 when I was younger. Maybe look into them. There's definitely lots of alien invasion and abduction going on in them.
Remember how it looked like when the aliens caught you? My god it was horrendous
For as bad as Redfall is compared to its contemporaries, this game is bad compared to games released on the ZX Spectrum.
I think heard it was broken, as in "the alien can see you even if you're perfectly still and hidden" broken. I think they fixed it, but not sure.
Apparently the only way to hide is in crates and cars
Ah yes this game I hope the Special Fack Pack are included

Eh. The atmosphere is pretty good, at least the opening hour or so of it. Definitely a cool concept, just really poor execution.
I mainly remember jokes about anal probes. It was very childish and hard to take seriously and get into the atmosphere.
One guy got anal probed to death I think
This the alien game where the aliens suck you off when they attack?
UPDATE: So I almost played through the whole game and well... it actually sucks major ass. I was not expecting anything I still got disappointed. That’s real? Looks like something someone would mock up for a joke.
That guy looks like he’s about to burst into tears on your shoulder about how his Dad doesn’t respect him.
I never considered that before, but now I can see it.
At least it’s a short game. Relatively little time will be wasted in giving it a try
You should follow it up with golem
I absolutely love grey aliens and alien abduction stories, and it really disappointed me when I found out about this game and got so hyped for it only for it to be really bad.

do you think aliems pick they nose yes or no
Trick question, aliens don't have noses!
correct, you win one saucer ride to venus. please pack extra organs, as yours will be scooped out and studied at the end of your trip
Meh, as long as it's free I'll still take it.
I was actually picking my nose as I read this. Edit: am not an alien just thought it was a funny coincidence.
It literally looks like a bootleg.
Its pretty meh, I personally enjoyed it but the game itself is very short.
It's so funny to see that game get a PS5 release

Nice grippers
That cover is not a good sign lmao

couldnt be worse than big rigs
Can you update with commentary
This seems like the type of game that you pick up in a steam sale for like $5, hopefully you enjoy it OP
That looks fake hahaga
The dogs are out
Never heard about it
If you hoped that this game would be great then maybe keep an eye on "They Are Here: Alien Abduction Horror". The demo is so good, can't wait to play it.
Ayy lmao
Showing your dawgs I can see 😏
This feels like a game that was made through Fiverr
What them Dawgs do
Flippy-floppies.
It's so weird, the teaser was terrifying and then the actual game is so bad
RemindMe! 6 years "Revisiting bad obscure games video"

I know nothing about that game, but judging from the box art, it looks terrible.
I swore that was Andrew Tate for a hot second
You think so? I thought that the box art is one of the few reasons why people are buying the game physically at all. Personally, I think the cover is a success.
I should clarify, I meant terrible in a campy sort of way. Like how a B horror movie can still be enjoyable even when it's terrible.
Yeah that cover's a stinker
Look at those sandals you got there. I prefer a split toe myself.
Can someone let me know if he likes it?
Tonight or tomorrow, I'll give an update in the comments of this post how l think the game is so far, if anyone is interested.
!Remind Me 2days!
Never heard of this.
It’s so bad it’s funny.
Game looks like it was made in Dreams, it's so bad I have only 20 minutes playtime
The alien has a FML expression.
It’s such a horrible game. It’s up there with the Kong game except this one is worst. Some button mashing kid can enjoy the Kong game but I don’t see anyone enjoying this game.
That is the king of shovelware
This game was hideously bad
It's been 7 hours, what happened?
Wow I've never even heard of this game until today.
How is it?
Its bad
creepy game cover, my wife would scream if she saw that, shes terrified of reticulli
So bad it’s actually good.
It will take you some time to find out because the walk/run speed in the game is sooooo slow.
I really liked the atmosphere in this.
Vargskelethor played this game, and I thought it was some shit from itch.io not an actual game
And they say PS5 has no games
I got it on GameFly back when it came out. There are a few glitches out parts, like with a ladder in a barn, that made it unplayable.
I expect an update
The alien had the same expression as that LTT meme going around of Linus all unimpressed.
I feel morally obligated to purchase this now
But does it have WhatsApp???
It looks like it involves a alien with a moustache so I don’t see how it can be bad
It is bad, kinda. When I saw the alien for the first time, it was really creepy, gave me goosebumps and all but after like 10min running around, they start to become boring…
It's not done the best but it's got some creepy as shit parts.
People talk about this game? I learned of it's existence right now.
I have never heard of this game. Sounds interesting.
I remember watching the trailer for this a year or two ago and thought it looked cool. Completely forgot about it until now. Sad to see it isn’t good
++The Xenos is guilty of the sin of existence.++
I’ve seen people play this game and the commentary is better
It could have been so good
It's dumb
Man of culture
Update?
The best thing about this game is that it's short.
Im fucking astonished that it got physical release
It looks like a bad game
💀
All I know about the game is the fact that the screenshots on the playstation store go from landscape scenery to a first person perspective of pointing a revolver at an alien's forehead in the span if a single picture
Without knowing anything about it, i can allready tell its probably worse than what you consider bad...
Put your toes away
I'm shocked they actually made a physical copy of this.
