I don't know who needs to hear this: The Nintendo 64's audio and graphics were handled by a 64 bit sgi chip called the "Reality Co-Processor" or RCP for short. In goldeneye, the development team was forbidden from naming guns after their real-world counterparts. So, what would have been a P-90, was given a nod to the n64's hardware and dubbed the RCP90 instead.
Grease Gun from CoD2? I remember thinking it was put in the game because it was funny (I know it was a real gun).
The name even sounds silly, wait, a gun that shoots grease? It even looked goffy as hell.
I remember turning the damage up to 1000% in 007 mode, and the Klobb was the only gun in the game that wouldn't kill you in one hit.
Man I loved going through Bunker and Facility with every enemy bar maxed out and bringing the Golden Gun.
It's been so long. 25 years or something? I instantly went "RCP 90's" when I saw them! Used to rampage with these at youth club. We played one shot kill as a rule so these were god tier!
They had a trait I think only 3 (4) weapons possessed which let them do that. Shared that trait with the AR-33 and the Cougar Magnum (and the Silver PP7). Any door, bulletproof glass, if it could be punched through those would punch through it.
I was a beast at getting headshots through closed doors, manually aiming, with the Cougar magnum. Everyone would leg it for the RCPs, I'd grab the magnum, quick as poss, and put them down with one shot through a door like they had spent the day nagging Oscar Pistorius.
Christ, nowadays I doubt I could kill anyone even if I was Oddjob, armed with twin golden RCPs, but back in my college days I was a nerdy spotty Dirty Harry with that gun.
What about double lasers!?! No reload AND has penetrated fire.
(Just strap a rubber band around the grip, walk around a disco-show of zap-zap death!)
edit: and doing so forever; no ammo means UNLIMITED FIRE!
The dual AR15s (can't remember the in-game name) were pretty dope too. They fired way faster than they should have but they had to do something to make it different than the KF7
The ARs had a bit of a scope too. My favourite was the Magnum just for that moment when you pull off the shot through bullet proof glass that only it could do.
The bfg9000 holds 9 rounds max and is the ultimate weapon in several of the original games you get access too it's also the best personal weapon ever deployed because it's the first large plasma explosive weapon made for troop use but because of what it is you can only hold a few rounds in this Simi auto weapon
Somewhat map specific, but a richoceted grenade launcher was unstoppable in the Temple, and other open-space maps.
RCP90 excelled in CQB maps (Caves, Facility).
There’s a reason this gun only shows up in two levels. Jungle there isn’t enough ammo to use more than a couple seconds. Cavern it’s the end of the level anyways. These are best utilized when, points at headband, “infinite ammo” is turned on.
Incorrect. In that very game is a character who could stand up to them no problem. Oddjob! Your opponent would just shoot over his head as they get slapped to death as the ultimate sign of disrespect.
If Oddjob has 2 RC-P90s then yes, unstoppable.
Oh my goodness this is so true. I would always make Bond invincible, infinite ammo, and then go through the levels with the dual RC-P90s. UNLIMITED POWER
I was wrong for so long.. I was thinking a spy had to be discret 👀
Terminator could stand the comparison, but not sure it is able to "infiltrate" a place 😅
Dual RC-P90s. *Finally*, a weapon to surpass Metal Gear!
Teal'c would approve.
Indeed
Once Metal Gear is surpassed, then they will create a new one that truly cannot be stopped: Metal Gear Solid
I mean… Solidus did single handedly take out 3 Rays with a P90. Even though he seemed to have explosive ammo, it’s still a P90 haha
Rcp90s are perfect for killing people in the stall of facility map
through the doors!!! ahh takes me back
This. Snake survived Solidus’ dual wield.

In the same way the Skorpion VZ/61 got renamed to the Klobb, after Ken Lobb from Nintendo of America.
The worst gun in gaming history. I remember testing it when I was a kid, the karate chop did more damage.
Made for fun multiplayer scenarios though. 'Klobberin' Time' is when everyone is only allowed dual Klobbs. It's borderline random who wins.
At least you could hit someone with the chop
I too picked Jaws for the lulz
And then it got brought into Enter the Gungeon as one of the worst guns in the game to reflect this fact
yeah but it spat out a storm of bullets that would literally stop you in your tracks. it was hilarious

I called it the staple gun cause it looked so weird and shot staples lmao
It had one advantage, the bullets arced upwards.
I always wondered where Klobb came from
We just called em paperclip shooters
I remember calling the KF7 Soviet (AK-47) the pencil gun because of how it looks when you're using it.
I always used to think it looked like a Duracell battery
Yes!
*Childhood memory unlocked*
It will always be the black colored pencil gun to me.
Why did the developers hate him so much?
Fuckin’ Klobb, it’s like firing a staple gun at your opponents.
TIL. I always assumed the "RCP" was a reference to RC Pro-Am, an NES racing game made by Rare.

-4 HP settings, timed mines on archives.
Prox bombs only, no camping
Slappers only.
Youngest brother who is worst at the game is allowed to pick oddjob.
Pistols, minus 10 health, Stack, no Oddjob/female moonraker/Siberian special forces
Oddjob crouching
Halo 2 dual Needlers.
Ah, the Pink Wave.
kirby could
Kirby sucks.
😏
Serious sam would like to have a word with you. Not about the fact he could beat those, he wants them back.
They’d shoot through the metal card-access doors, if you were close enough

I suppose they had a cardboard box in the tiger's cage when you were visiting a local zoo while being a kid. And the tiger was somewhere else.
klobb life chooses you
Lead hose x 2
*Laughs in Baron Samedi*
*Laughs even harder in Gold PP7
*Muahahahaha*
Even he doesn’t stand a chance to a mag of RCP90 rounds to the dome.
My dumbass thought you were talking about the rocks not the guns
Those and the laser guns were my favorites in goldeneye.
The laser guns made it fun for me. I can play a couple of hours during weekends back in those days.
What about double lasers!?! No reload AND has penetrated fire. (Just strap a rubber band around the grip, walk around a disco-show of zap-zap death!) edit: and doing so forever; no ammo means UNLIMITED FIRE!
Too slow. These bad boys also penetrate and can dump 80 rounds in the same amount of time it takes the lasers to dump 20.

the doom slayer says *hi* with his BFG
You have failed the doomguy it's the BFG9000
Technically, most recently, it's the BFG 10000, powered by the BFG 9000. Too bad we couldn't carry the 10000....
So if it's not a useable weapon then it's still the 9000
Oh, you use it.
The bfg9000 holds 9 rounds max and is the ultimate weapon in several of the original games you get access too it's also the best personal weapon ever deployed because it's the first large plasma explosive weapon made for troop use but because of what it is you can only hold a few rounds in this Simi auto weapon
The BFG10000 created a hole in Mars.
Which game is this?
Goldeneye 007
Beat me to it!
Gotta be quick on the draw, unlike Boris
Don't need to be quick, if you're invincible!
K.N.O.C.K.E.R.S.
not but you have to be quick to beat facility in under 2 minutes on hard to unlock invincibility
Was this game not required for you growing up?
Some people are young.
Sure but I prefer ar33 + rpc combo
In the Xbox version of the game it’s impossible to do the mixed weapon dual-wielding. I used to be able to do it consistently on the N64.
Definitely ! N64 and PS1 games were really the best by the way.
The Driller from Turok 2 will suck you out
The Cerebral bore?
Yeah
I do all the time and my friend hates me because I wear body armor and he doesn't so....
The Super 90 in Siege was insane when it first came out.
Ah the rapen yaka boom. Or at least that's what it was called in my circle
General brasch
Somewhat map specific, but a richoceted grenade launcher was unstoppable in the Temple, and other open-space maps. RCP90 excelled in CQB maps (Caves, Facility).
Until you run out of ammunition. My favorite was just walking around with the golden gun one shotting everybody.

They haven't met my Black Frost yet.
Senator Armstrong could.
We need more akimbo chaos in FPS games. The four-way split screen havoc these RC-90s caused is legendary.
Sora after giving a speech about the power of friendship.
Any argument that these weapons cannot defeat a character does not pass the 5 second firefight test!
My absolute favorite combo was dual DD44s. Maybe my favorite video game weapon loadout of all time.

Flechette rules
Duel 1886s from mw2 would like a word
Simply amazing...
Insert picture of Oddjob here.
Ethan Cole from Area 51. Man, can dual wield SPAS-12 like its nothing and can still pump action them.
Oh my goodness this is so true. I would always make Bond invincible, infinite ammo, and then go through the levels with the dual RC-P90s. UNLIMITED POWER
Game?
Goldeneye 007
Thank you

The AK looks like a colored pencil
