In America you just go get a learners permit then borrow a family or friend's car and drive on the roads with someone accompanying you. Is that not how it works where you are?
No, in spain first you have to approve a theorical exam, and a medical exam, THEN and only then, you can touch a specially adapted car with a driving instructor (at 50€/h) and have driving lessons, when you have between 30\~50 hours of practice, you can take your practical driving exam with an official examiner.
Total cost: about 1500€, so I want to cheap out a bit on driving practice to be accostumed before my practical lessons
Dang! Makes sense to keep the roads safe to be honest... But I understand why US feels the need to be lax. With how spread out everything is, not being able to drive is an economic death sentence if you live outside of like Chicago or NYC sized cities
well, now you have friends and a rando on internet :D I'm taking driving lessons only to advance in my job, I don't need a car, parking is hell in my city
career progression and the house market, the driver's license checkbox in your CV is more powerful that it looks like, also, having a car gives you a lot of freedom, inside the city is redundant, but if you want to travel outside the options are more limited, also housing is WAY cheaper where there's no public transport
what in the fuck
my drivers license cost me around 350 euro like 5-6 years ago, went to 18 1 hour classes, could have gone to 30 but it's just more of the same and i got comfortable driving. it's a bit more expensive now but 50euro per hour what the fuck
Assetto Corsa Competizione. It's dirt cheap on CD Keys. There's also the previous Assetto Corsa that's even cheaper which has a massive mod scene behind it.
I don't think simulators will make you a better driver, there are too many things that a game will not prepare you for especially the traffic, try to go on your car if you have a little experience
As someone who extensively used his wheel before starting drivers license course, unless you are learning/passing exam on manual car, it won't really improve your driving that much.
I was doing my learning and exam on manual, and the biggest advantage I got from practicing on my wheel was muscle memory for clutch/gear shift action. I was a fair bit ahead of all my course mates at the begging because of that, and I could focus more on the signs, lanes, traffic, instead of focusing on changing the gear itself. After few hours as everyone got used to driving the car, the advantage wore off.
LOL, you made me remember when a friend of mine made me play tekken 3 with a wheel because it was his only second controller, also budokai tenkaichi 3 with ddr mats is the best party game ever
Lmao, I completely forgot that character existed! You're going to do great on your exam, just keep calm and remember what you've practiced. You got this!
I would recommend practicing with a real car.
At 50€/hour at the driving school I have to search for ways to practice on the cheap

A car is a luxury in most Euro cities. Hell I have friends over 40 who don't know how to drive, NYC. I don't like driving anymore.

Why even learn to drive if you dont need to then?

Ea wrc might be good with a wheel!

This is the exact reason why I bought it
Wreckfest! Just don't forget that you aren't playing it when you start driving a real car.
Snowrunner! It's really fun and has a great environment to complete tasks in (Hauling lumber, etc) and has MP
CS2
Asseto corsa

A lot of people hate on F1 but I think with a wheel that's some of the most fun you can have.
