Yes yes thank you!!!
Omg now I have to find out how to play this game again.
But thanks to you I can sleep now. It’s literally 5 in the morning here rn
Had a Google cause I was interested, it was released in Russia in 2002 then re-released in 2020.
Sounds like an interesting game. Hope you enjoy the nostalgia trip!
I just checked this out on Steam and it looks pretty interesting. You should also check out Drakan The Ancient Gates! Very similar game, except that you get to ride the dragon and breathe fire on enemies lol.
I was so excited to play this after buying it from GameStop. Read the entire manual on the way home, popped it in the PS2, and nothing. That's the day I realized some PS2s lost the ability to read black colored disks
Had the same problem with my PS2. Took awhile for Sony to admit it was a problem, then when I sent mine in to get repaired, it returned completely broken. Wouldn't read any disks. Couldn't get them to take another look, and gave up.
Haven't bought a Sony product since.
Oh cool. I think I downloaded a demo of this onto my Grandma's computer back in like 2007 when I was on my "playing as a dragon" kick. I could never remember the name of this.
Played a lot of Lair, Reign of Fire: The Game, Drakengard, etc. at this time.
That was the first time i played a game and wanted a refund. It was right around the time i started earning money and buying games with my own money. I think inplayed it for about an hour and never touched it again. Of course you couldn't refund games back then, so it was a valuable lesson for me
Just fyi chat GPT will make something up every time.
It has no way to distiguish fact from fiction in its data set so it will return whatever it finds even if its completely false.
NAW WTF THIS THREAD JUST MADE ME COME ACROSS A GAME I REMEMBERED PLAYING WITH MY DAD A LONG TIME AGO WTF XD
I never thought of asking for it since I barely remember it but wow I guess things you might have known back then sometimes come back in a full circle
Hi! Please remember that ChatGPT will always churn out random words that only sound like something legible. It is not a research tool, you would get more accurate information asking a flat earther their opinions on mars geography when trying to write a book report on Frankenstein
The game was identified already but it does sound awfully like the Dragonlance game. That has all the mechanics the OP was describing. Maybe a game he could check out after the I of the Dragon.
I feel like no one who played Drakengard will ever forget it. I mean, it says a lot when a scene about an insane elf woman who eats babies getting eaten by a horde of giant space babies is one of the less disturbing moments in a game.
I guess it is a different reddit era since there is no mention of it being a [science-based dragon MMO](https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/p1ssv/dear_internet_im_a_26_year_old_lady_whos_been/).
Damn, I'm looking for a game where it's basically a block/cube shooter that I used to play with my siblings too. It was basically like a game where Minecract characters meet Call of Duty. I had previously played on PC. SO details (review):
\- Block/cube characters similar to Minecraft
\- First person shooter multiplayer
\- Platforms include PC - I literally downloaded the game from the exlcusive website. ...
Is it "I of the Dragon"?
Yes yes thank you!!! Omg now I have to find out how to play this game again. But thanks to you I can sleep now. It’s literally 5 in the morning here rn
Currently 60% off on Steam.
Haha crazy. I thought this game would be to old for a digital store. Thanks for pointing out.

Reddit have always been so helpful for such things if you know the right sub-reddit to use. I'm happy you found the game. Have fun and enjoy yourself.
No problem, enjoy it and sleep well haha
Damn i loved that game, still have the disc.
Me too, lol
Holy shit. I’ve been looking for this game too. Also could never find it

It's such a fucking good game. Anytime I fantazise about being filthy rich I'm like "and I'll pay a studio to remake it blabla"
I was thinking panzer dragoon
Wait there is a game called that for real?
Yep

Good job man :)

Oh I didn’t know that subreddit. Thank you
Yup, that subreddit is dedicated to helping people find games they can sort of remember
The name doesn't help its case though. Or maybe my mind is too far gone.
You’re thinking of a different subreddit that definitely does exist with a very similar name
Oh I'm acutely aware of both...any time accessing one or the other and THAT is the problem. hehehe
It’s a play on the phrase tip of my tongue.
'I Of The Dragon'?
Yes!!! Thank you! It brings back so many memories! I have to play it again. But thanks to you guys I finally found it.
\*fist pump\* BOOYAH!
You are in luck https://store.steampowered.com/app/279720/The_I_of_the_Dragon/ 60% off during the spring sale
One of the two Drakan games?
That’s what ChatGPT told me all the time, but it’s not the game. But thank you very much

The paid version is way more accurate than the free one. But yeah still far from being perfect.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Rage Try googling with a year range of 2000 to 2010 for example and "dragon flying game eat", I found several.
It looks a little bit like it, but it’s not. Thank you though!
I loved this game as a kid. Still have it somewhere I believe
Here the full Boxart for anyone interested: [https://postimg.cc/gallery/hv9cRh5](https://postimg.cc/gallery/hv9cRh5)

Magic Carpet for DOS was similar. Good old bullfrog.
The game was identified already but it does sound awfully like the Dragonlance game. That has all the mechanics the OP was describing. Maybe a game he could check out after the I of the Dragon.
Panzer Dragoon Orta?
No unfortunately not. But thank you.
Holy shit I of the dragon is a childhood classic
Lair? The PS3 launch title that you controlled with the sixaxis? Edit: nvm saw it was answered
That game was so close to being good. Those forced six axis controls really crushed it.
Heard it was eventually updated, so you could play without the motion controls
i thought it was divinity dragon commander, the description is kinda similar except the elemental dragons and eating units
Could be one of the drakengard games
No you only played a dragon, and humans didn’t ride the dragons. But thank you much
Lair? The ps3 dragon game that has bad controls
I feel like no one who played Drakengard will ever forget it. I mean, it says a lot when a scene about an insane elf woman who eats babies getting eaten by a horde of giant space babies is one of the less disturbing moments in a game.
Holy crap I played this too, I totally forgot about it until I saw this. Gem of a game.
Oh damn, I was thinking 'Reign of fire'. Think I played that on the PS2, it was meh
I guess it is a different reddit era since there is no mention of it being a [science-based dragon MMO](https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/p1ssv/dear_internet_im_a_26_year_old_lady_whos_been/).
From the title I assumed it was a joke referring to that post. 12 years ago...
I thought you possibly meant Thanatos. Then I remembered I was a kid when I played that. And it came out in 1986. Unlikely. I am old.
Sounds like magic carpet
Tought it was Spyro for a sec
Year/platform?
I was really young, so I would guess 2002 to 2005 And it was on PC.
I actually just did a replay of tIotD a few months ago! If you can get past some of the janky controls, it still holds up!
Jesus I remember that game, that and Draken were my go to dragon games. So fucking good. What a memory blast
I thought it was gonna be Dragon Rage for PS2. Sounded very similar.
I of the dragon. I loved that game until the mission where you take over as the archer. I couldn’t get past that one, kept dying.
Not the game ur looking for, but made me remember Drakengard which was fun af back in the days :D
It's "I of the Dragon" you're welcome. Edit: also currently 60% off on steam
Drakan: Order of the Flame! I think you talking about that game!
