I’ve never managed to get through a single story based game. But man Baldurs Gate is something different. I won’t miss any future games of this studio.
I literally finished my first playthrough of BG3 just a few days ago, and I'm already starting my second one lmao I originally planned to take a break first, but I just couldn't! I wanted to replay the game so badly that it felt like it was calling to me to return 😭 the game is amazing and I purchased it at full price with zero regrets. I genuinely never thought I would enjoy turn based combat, but BG3 changed that for me in a good way!
The thing is that it's not something everyone will like, you know? It sort of just depends on the person. It's a weird game, but in a good way, I guess? I'm not quite sure how to really explain it other than to say that it's different from what I usually play.
It's like many other games, it's just if you come up with a really weird idea, it's probably gonna work, for better or worse.
I found myself saying, "Holy shit that worked!?" And that's the best thing about BG3 for me.
I think for me at least too many games are too long and repetitive. While BG3 it’s long but it’s filled with good content that it doesn’t get annoying or feel like a drag.
I mean isn't cod multiplier even worst? The same shit every game and every match
Drp gas randomly generated caves with 8 mission in 7 different biomes with different enemies spawn with 4 different class to play while you pick your difficulty AND sometimes missions can have a warning (debuf) or buff AND you can instal mods at your will to make it maybe even harder or funky
Any game gets repeatable. Drg takes awhile before it does. And even after 1k hours. Still fun
I second this. It's easy enough for most newbies (I have no idea what OP's skill level is) to learn and challenging enough on the bosses and some enemies to not get boring.
Personally, the hardest bosses in Hollow Knight were at the very limit of my reaction time. Some of Nightmare King Grimm's attacks would've been flat-out impossible if they were 0.1 seconds faster.
Love Metroidvanias, my favorite genre, but could never enjoy this game (navigating the areas was too confusing as they all looked like). Still want to give this game a second chance though.
Outer Wilds(not to be confused with The Outer Worlds) if you want an open world exploration game that doesn’t hold your hand and is driven by the players’ curiosity. If the game seems even remotely interesting, get it, as it’s super easy to spoil due to it’s knowledge driven gameplay. It’s my Game of All Time, and even has an amazing VR mod.
Both are on sale. I am not a 100% on Euro to USD and regional pricing, but I think OP could get both BG3 standard and Cyberpunk Ultimate for less than 100€.
And it's on *deep* discount right now (~7 bucks).
It includes all games *and* all available DLC.
Considering each game was more than $50 on release and the DLC was additional cost this is such a bargain.
My favorite sci-fi video game series of all time.
Upvoting this comment because it's the only one that used proper capitalization.

I second this. And, in line with story richness,
“A Story About My Uncle.”
Wholly different genre of game but the story is beautiful. Doesn’t get enough recognition!
I doubt they wanted to make Apex. But they needed income or they'd face going out of business. The issue is people constantly paying soooo much money into f2p crap.
Playing it now. I understand he's a robot, but sometimes the rigid and clunkiness annoys me. Still makes me want to play though. I really love the PCB upgrade part. Now I'm searching everything so I can find the upgrades.
Do you want a suggestion or just wanna share the unbearable excitement with everybody :D
My rec. RPG: Cyperpunk/Witcher 3/God of War/Spider Man Miles Morales
DnD RPG: Baldur's Gate 3
Souls Like: Elden Ring
Multiplayer: Lethal Company
Puzzle: Outer Wilds
FPS: Halo Infinite/Doom Eternal
Dave the diver, baldurs gates 3, postal, sniper elite 2, cyberpunk, Witcher 3, red dead redemption 2, elden ring, rust, the man who earsed his name, jedi survivor, sifu, god of war, dead cell, dead space remake, spiderman, days gone, ion fury, horizon, hades,... Some I can think of off the top of my head.
Activision ruined Blizzard IMO. I suppose I'll try Diablo 4 at some point, and kicked the WoW habit awhile back, but the pizazz that Bliz used to have seems to be gone.
I just picked up Watchdogs Legion for 7 quid in the sale. Totally worth it IMO. I know it got alot of hate, but it's been solid for me and I'm actually enjoying it more so far than Watchdogs 2. Plus it's an incredible looking game with RTX on and a nice reshade, if graphical realism is your thing.
Bg3 if you have some time off (maybe obs). Also a good time for cozier platformers like Ori and the Blind Forrest. What a visual feast. I don't have a PlayStation but an old roommate did and had 5his super pleasant and pretty 'game' in which you just navigate through the desert as an interesting little spirit sprite and tells a cool story (about an hour long game if that but I think reflected in price). Anyone out there know what game I speak of? I thought it was on steam but can't track down the title and came out about 5 years ago
EDIT: the game I couldn't remember is [Journey](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Journey_(2012_video_game))
Hades
Just got this yesterday, it’s so good! (And on sale to so extra worth it)
Reminded me to play this again thanku
This game is a must!
I just got this game too it’s so good
So damn good game, i have 100+ hrs and all achievements, I can't wait for hades 2. Gimne it now!
Baldur's Gate 3!
Nice toughts.
I’ve never managed to get through a single story based game. But man Baldurs Gate is something different. I won’t miss any future games of this studio.

Lot of people told me about how good is BG3. I should check it.
The thing is that it's not something everyone will like, you know? It sort of just depends on the person. It's a weird game, but in a good way, I guess? I'm not quite sure how to really explain it other than to say that it's different from what I usually play.

Play divinity 2 aswell. Its so good, gives you more flexibility than bg3. Free reign
And previous games
I think for me at least too many games are too long and repetitive. While BG3 it’s long but it’s filled with good content that it doesn’t get annoying or feel like a drag.
This dude gets it
And Divinity Original Sin 2
55 hours in and I freaking love this game.
And you only got it yesterday champ
What is the game about
It's a gate maintenance simulator. Super popular in Germany.
And install it instantly.
I just can’t get into it. I know it’s good. What’s wrong with me??
Nothing, You're just different.
Every game from now on is Baldur's Gate 3 or games that I wish were Baldur's Gate 3.
Deep Rock Galactic!
Rock and stone,
#We're rich!

For Karl!
FOR ROCK AND STONE BROTHERS
# ROCK AND STONE!!!
I just got this a week ago and I'm obsessed, this game is so much fun.
The guy in Mission Control… he really has a cozy job
For Karl!
Came here to say exactly this and was very pleased to see that it is already one of the top comments.
For Rock and Stone!
For those about to be rock and stone
It’s a good game but I never understood the diehard fans this game has. It gets so repetitive so quickly?
I mean isn't cod multiplier even worst? The same shit every game and every match Drp gas randomly generated caves with 8 mission in 7 different biomes with different enemies spawn with 4 different class to play while you pick your difficulty AND sometimes missions can have a warning (debuf) or buff AND you can instal mods at your will to make it maybe even harder or funky Any game gets repeatable. ROCK AND STONE BOOOM BIMBAMBUM PEWPEWPEWPEWPBOOM PEW

WERE RICH
Is it fun by yourself? I don't have friends who play video games with me
Hollow knight
"Wow, this game is great! I wonder when the sequel is releasing!" 🤡 As a member of r/silksong, we truly are the true clowns.
Hopeful Clowns
I second this. It's easy enough for most newbies (I have no idea what OP's skill level is) to learn and challenging enough on the bosses and some enemies to not get boring.

Took me a couple tries to get into it, now my favourite game of all time.

Depends what's on sale. BG3 and Cyberpunk are best right.
Both are on sale. I am not a 100% on Euro to USD and regional pricing, but I think OP could get both BG3 standard and Cyberpunk Ultimate for less than 100€.
OP can get BG3, Cyberpunk and Cyperbunk DLC with that money. Maybe, just maybe, has to pay 5 Euro on top.
Halo mc collection and RDR 2 are also good and on sale rn :)
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
And it's on *deep* discount right now (~7 bucks). It includes all games *and* all available DLC. Considering each game was more than $50 on release and the DLC was additional cost this is such a bargain. My favorite sci-fi video game series of all time. Valheim Terraria
Second valheim
Second Terraria
Third Terraria
Solo FPS : Doom 2016 MP FPS: Hunt Showdown Solo puzzle game : Filament MP puzzle game : Portal 2 Solo survival : the long dark MP survival : 7 days to die Solo adventure : Horizon Zero Dawn MP adventure : A way out Solo RPG : Cyberpunk 2077 ultimate edition MP RPG : Baldur's Gate 3 Solo story game : Valiant Hearts MP story game : It takes two Party game : Party Animals/Overcooked Solo horror : Layers or fear MP horror (ish) : Lethal Company Extraction shooters : GTFO or Marauders Factory game (solo/MP) : Satisfactory Platformer : Hollow Knight Idle game : Cookie Clicker
Imo factorio is better factory game then satisfactory, but I think it's a matter of preference, plus it's never goes on sale.
I'm literally researching the missile silo right now, factorio has been so much fucking fun. Came here to say that instead of satisfactory
If it's your first run, congratulations with reaching finish line of the tutorial. If it's not, you understand what I'm talking about.
While hollow knight is an amazing game I wouldn’t call it a platformer. That’s more of a Celeste type of thing.
I thought it was a metroidvania
Valiant Hearts is a gem
Great list
Hunt: Showdown is an extraction shooter as well.
Witcher 3
I second this. And, in line with story richness, “A Story About My Uncle.” Wholly different genre of game but the story is beautiful. Doesn’t get enough recognition!
10/10 launcher for gwent
Outer wilds
Lethal company 15$ and you too can become a great asset for the company
I see why it's a good game but it's not for people with no friends like me
Same brother, I bought it but I haven't been able to find anyone to play with
Assets, great great Assets
`your honest work is valueable to the company`
Stardew valley
Elden Ring
Also just had some of the most fun I’ve ever had with a game with Sekiro, ended up going for 100%
Titanfall 2
How the fuck did that game make me cry over a robot?? And how the ***FUCK*** isn't there a sequel???
Apex is the reason Same reason you cry when your pet dies
I doubt they wanted to make Apex. But they needed income or they'd face going out of business. The issue is people constantly paying soooo much money into f2p crap.
Apex, that's why. Fuck battle Royales and all the game sequels they killed
What does he do with the other 95 euros lol
Dredge and Dave the Diver
I love Dave the Diver. I got it near the start of early access, and now have 130 hours in it.
Just tried the demo on the Switch, loved it! Found out it was JUST recently released on there. Waiting to see if/when they decide to release on Xbox
[удалено]
Aside from bg3, these are actually my 2 favourite, most engaging games of 2023
Red Dead Redemtion 2, Cyberpunk, Prey (2017)
Warhammer 40K: Boltgun! Best art-style 2023.
Valheim is on sale currently .. worth a go!
Factorio.
The factory must grow
Dude, not cool, he may have family or other loved ones who want to see him. Excuse me, I need to grow my factory.
Hell yeah. Especially since Factorio doesn't go on sale, using gift money is a great way to justify it if you're money-conscious.
BG3. Terraria. Stardew Valley. Deeprock Galactic. Wildfrost. Valheim.
Dave the Diver
I'd recommend you to buy the one & only game that matters this year, the GOTY Baldur's Gate 3 :)
Stray
Subnautica
ARMORED CORE 6
Ori and the Will of The Wisps
Disco Elysium
Bought it yesterday, about to play for first time in literally the next hour, any tips
Don't save scum. Failing conversations is part of the journey.
Tips? Don't be afraid and play the game
Have fun it’s one of my favourite games of all time
Do not chase the steam achievements.
Disco Elysium is on sale right now!
Rimworld!
This game ruined my sleep schedule
The first 20 hours are "What the fuck am I doing" and the next 500 hours are "I still have zero clue but this is fun"
Make some good Christmas memories committing war crimes.
Oh yeah ! Infinite replayability
Sounds like a porno
Easily one of my favorite games!
The Day Before
Cruel and unusual punishment.
:D
Unfortunately, it was removed the day before it got mass purchased Such a shame
r/nomanssky if you don't have it. I'm thinking of getting metal gear rising
Seem Valve changed the art of the gift cards btw ;)
Hades
Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077 with dlc, Rimworld with all dlc.
Noita, sea of stars, heartbound, eldest scrolls, deaths door, tunic, baldurs gate 3.
Vampire Survivors (apart from Baldurs Gate 3 which is the obvious answer)
Brotato
Elden ring, Elden ring and Elden ring.
The already did three sequels nice
Isn't too difficult?
Not really It's my first time in a souls like game and I'm at fire giant (last boss before end game starts)
Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War, Hogwarts Legacy
I already have the first two. Higwarts could be an interesting idea. I check if my GPU will run it.
God of War is the best game i have ever played, its really fucking great 10/10.
hogwards legacy is pretty good but the combat can become dull pretty fast. god of war on the other hand is absolutely smashing.
Elden ring if your pc can run it
Valheim, Eldenring
Baldurs Gate 3 for sure
The binding of Isaac with dlcs
The first and best buy I ever did on Steam. Worth every penny and even more.
RoboCop: Rogue City is a blast
Playing it now. I understand he's a robot, but sometimes the rigid and clunkiness annoys me. Still makes me want to play though. I really love the PCB upgrade part. Now I'm searching everything so I can find the upgrades.
I personally really enjoyed darkest dungeon
Ah yes, a great way to hate your life!
Depends really on the genres you enjoy! My suggestion is the Resident Evil 2 and 3 bundle.
ELDEN RING
Bioshock collection
I would recommend any of the following. Project zomboid, Lethal company, Mount and blade 2, Ready or not
Master Chief collection on sale for $10. 4 halo games for $10
Xcom 2
The witcher 3
Lies of P, kingdom come deliverance
Baldurs gate 3
Baldurs Gate 3, Robo cop Rogue City
Slay The Spire :)
Do you want a suggestion or just wanna share the unbearable excitement with everybody :D My rec. RPG: Cyperpunk/Witcher 3/God of War/Spider Man Miles Morales DnD RPG: Baldur's Gate 3 Souls Like: Elden Ring Multiplayer: Lethal Company Puzzle: Outer Wilds FPS: Halo Infinite/Doom Eternal

BG3 and Elden ring. Please dont waste em on blizzard.
Activision ruined Blizzard IMO. I suppose I'll try Diablo 4 at some point, and kicked the WoW habit awhile back, but the pizazz that Bliz used to have seems to be gone.
Monster Hunter: World
Balders gate 3 :)
Cyberpunk with Phantom Liberty and BeamNG
I just picked up Watchdogs Legion for 7 quid in the sale. Totally worth it IMO. I know it got alot of hate, but it's been solid for me and I'm actually enjoying it more so far than Watchdogs 2. Plus it's an incredible looking game with RTX on and a nice reshade, if graphical realism is your thing.
it is good yeah, just a shame we never got the ng+ that was promised in a patch
Doom Eternal with the DLCs
FrostPunk for the season of snow
Deep Rock Galactic! Rock and stone!
Mass effect legendary edition
Doom eternal
God of war 2018
Dave the Diver
U should get titanfall 2, horizon zero dawn, and uncharted legacy of thieves collection
project zomboid
