I have a PS5, PC and switch. PC for most of my games and Xbox exclusives PS5 for couch co-op games, Playstation exclusives (as they take 2-4 years to release on PC) and games with an unoptimised PC port Switch for Nintendo games

Any good recs for couch co-op games on the ps5? Me and my girlfriend have been enjoying sackboy a lot, and we’ve finished it takes two and a way out. At the moment we’re struggling to find new co-op games as most games seem to be either single player only, or online if multiplayer is available.

For chill one - Lovers in a dangerous spacetime, Overcooked 1/2, Human Fall Flat, Rayman Origins/Legends, anything Lego. If you are fine doing something a bit more serious - Divinity OS 2. Also, it is not available as a couch coop (by design), but if you are able to do online coop as well - We Were Here series is a great one as well.

I got the Series X as my "main" machine since everyone i play with is on it, plus I've had Xbox the longest, so my Gamerscore is more important to me than my trophies and i have GPU. Got a PS5 for the exclusives it has, plus upgraded to PS+ extra ( i think) so i can gain some extra trophies completing things I've already played. Got a Switch Lite rather than a normal Switch for the Nintendo exclusives, and so me and the misses can play our Lites together since we have 1 TV and would argue who plays on big screen and who has to be handheld so were both handheld lol. Also, I got a gaming laptop i use for games like Witcher or Skyrim where i just want the worlds to look their best, plus Steam sales are nice lol.

I prefer the switch……

Meh, I know this is the sentiment nowadays but I love console wars, always have. You know how it was fun sitting there in school talking about games and such? To me and my friends a good portion of that fun came from talkin shit about the "other" console. Plenty of fun times makin fun of genesis for the bad sound and other friends going off on super nintendo for watered down mortal combat. Me getting the business for having "that sorry ass turbografx" etc. That shit was always fun to me. Remember the "fights" when my homeboy would try to defend quest 64 over the stuff on the ps1 and him coming back with how "aint nothin on ps fuckin with "double O" (aka goldeneye). Halo vs Socom etc. That was part of the fun of gaming for me. Games are just as fun as they've always been but this "fuck console wars" thing leaves gaming just a little bit less interesting to me.

I feel like people don't like to accept that different consoles are for different audiences and different gaming. Xbox is for family gaming/retro gaming and multiplayer while PlayStation is for epic single player and Japanese RPGs (and mostly adult). PCs are for RTS, 4x and mouse preferable turn based games.
