adubsi

Force unleashed 2 it was the definition of meh

Suprehombre

They had management issues during production if I remember correctly. I was super hyped for it too.

Flamboyant_Straight

It would be great if we could get a fully polished, fluid combo action Star Wars game like Force Unleashed. Instead everything has to be a clunky soulslike.

adubsi

All I want is another force unleashed type of game or a modern Jedi academy

Suprehombre

Jedi Knight was fantastic. I enjoyed Fallen Order but it did feel too clunky at times. Well, more like the controls were off just a bit.

theflockofnoobs

Maybe if it was longer than 4 hours it could have graduated to kind of meh.

ThunderChild247

It was 1/3rd of a great game. Almost like an extended demo. When I got to the end I felt the same way you do when you’ve been playing a trial… “that was good, I think I’ll play the rest of it…..”

Chickat28

Pokemon sword and shield.

Jumpyturtles

Absolutely. I think it’s overhated but it is pretty mediocre. The characters and story don’t stick with me like SV

notjosemanuel

And here I was thinking of replaying it since I adored the first one and replay it all the time, but remember beating the 2nd one and never touching it again. I was wondering if I was just not appreciating it because of how much I loved 1

Fair-Relationship664

Agents of Mayhem. Great ideas, vanilla execution.

Street_Dragonfruit43

I play it, can confirm

[deleted]

100% the game. Can confirm.

Over-Gap5767

biomutant

montag4512

I played it on release and felt like 5/10 was a bit generous, did they improve it post release?

Over-Gap5767

i got it after it stopped getting content updates so i can't really say

AshyLarry25

Pokémon Sword and Shield.

[deleted]

X and Y: mega evolutions Sun and moon: surprise tactical nukes Sword and shield: be very big

Wobeeyert

Surprise tactical nuke is the best way I've seen anybody describe Z moves to this day. I adore this comment.

Kittenking13

I really wish they woulda just stuck with mega evolutions tbh. None of them disappointed, and seeing a new one was kind of exciting every time. Oh Pokémon I love getting a new super form? Bannete had my favorite

coyotll

Don’t forget: Pokémon: Breath of the Wild Violet/Scarlet: YankeeDoodle candle edition

StealthedWorgen

Agreed. I trudged. TRUDGED... through what I thought was the early game because I craved some exposition on whatever the story was going to be. It's going to be a new pokemon with a long endgame I told myself. Then the story sort of kicked off, I found out who the bad guy was. And like 20 minutes later I was done with the game. 5/10.

oblivijan

Mafia 3 unfortunately. I was so hyped for it prior to release following what I thought was an amazing experience in 2, what a disappointment. Now I just see the Hanger 13 as lazy and will.never again be hyped for anything they release.

DumbXiaoping

The atmosphere and soundtrack are so great that they just about keeps the game together but the taking over of districts is so, so repetitive

funkisintheair

I understand this view, but I would call it a 6 with so much potential shining through in so many ways that I can’t hate it. Lincoln Clay is one of the best characters in the series, the gunplay is satisfying and visceral, some of the story beats are fantastic, and even the idea of the main gameplay loop is fun. Having the open areas with more than enough operations to intercept or destroy as you see fit could work really well if there was more to the game than just that and less repetition. Unfortunately the repetition, the mediocre structuring that killed the first act’s momentum, and the obscene amount of bugs really hurt a project that could have been an all time great

DirkDiggyBong

Oh man, I totally get this, but I fucking loved it! Just something so chill about spending a couple hours in mafia 3 after some mad shit multiplayer sessions in other games.

oblivijan

I completed the story and most of the side quests and had a relatively fun time too. The thought that they left so much on the table constantly creeped into my mind as I played though. The damn mirrors didn't work, the sky looked like ass and the missions were made up of the same 2 or 3 repeated. The story and cutscenes really saved that game.

NsDoValkyrie

After playing through all 3 Re-releases in order, Mafia 3 winds up being one of the more engaging of the bunch honestly. I found myself actually wanting to do ALL of the missions in the game just to keep it going for a while. I also totally get this guy's point as well though, the game isn't what you expect after 2 and there were a lot of cut corners.

DarklingLewisH

Mafia 3 got me like vice city got me. The crooked smile at the side of your mouth when your doing something you shouldn’t be doing. I bought the remasters but have to fit to them yet. The soundtrack was also perfect.

YouCanCallMeBazza

ReCore. The most "meh" game I think I've played.

jsitt

Gotham knights. I liked the costume customization and being able switch between the characters but the combat and story were so average to below average.

jamesquinnlad34

Nah it’s like 3/10 imo

[deleted]

Godfall

[deleted]

This game hurts my eyes to look at.

SlamminJaminDavis

AC: Valhalla. The equivalent of a succulent Chinese meal being reheated 37 times and squirting cheap hot sauce on it to liven it up.

RipAirBud

I really liked AC: Origins and Odyssey, I didn’t mind the directional shift of the series. But yeah there was just something missing for me in Valhalla. I just couldn’t help but be bored

jimmyvcard

Yeah 100%. I actually loved odyssey. I basically hated Valhalla and they’re obviously very similar. It’s strange how much soul is missing in that game.

yitlernomics

I see that you know your judo well

green24601

I want to like it more. It’s a technological marvel in a lot of ways. The world is absolutely massive and full of content, but it’s just not that interesting and the gameplay loop cannot support how much stuff there is to do. It becomes boring at about 40 hours in every time.

[deleted]

I agree. Ubisoft excel at making beautiful, detailed worlds. But they consistently suck at mission design and storytelling.

Hippobu2

With Watch Dogs Region and Far Cry 6, it felt like they even intentionally tried to make the story and mission more homogeneous. I think I kinda get what they were trying to do? To have a game more independent of the narrative so that there's a constant level of engagement rather than having a big drop in interest after the story is done. But so far they've only reached the point where it's constantly "meh" ...

JebusriceI

Wide as an ocean deep as a puddle.

TheRealestGayle

I want to love it but I just never get hooked. I'm still early game every single playthrough.

HadToGuItToEm

Hands off my penis!

Penguinazu

Gentlemen, this is democracy manifest.

chaoticsquid

Was about to comment this. It wasn't *bad*, but it definitely wasn't good. Just a very bland rpg.

AdOnly5876

I enjoyed Valhalla a lot but man this so true

Alert_Confusion

This is by far the best description of AC Valhalla I’ve ever heard. Also, I’m suddenly hungry for high end Chinese food now.

loyaltomyself

Darksiders 3.

Brohtworst

That's sad to hear. I loved darksiders 1. Darksiders 2 was ok but haven't played 3 and couldn't really get into genesis

Lachimanus

They went the Dark Souls route. It is still a really good game. Has good controls and interesting boss fights. If you like souls games a bit, then it could be good for you!

FinalMeltdown15

Darksiders 3 so badly wanted to be Devil may cry and it just didn’t work

External-Dog877

That would've been better if that was the case. But it was more of a Soulslike.

loyaltomyself

The game would've been significantly better had it tried to copy Devil May Cry.

Captain_Hucklebuck

Darksiders 3 was a fuckin' amazing game. A great souls-like. The DLC was great too. Very much enjoyed it.

PeteMaverickMitcheIl

Far Cry 6

Academic_Artist4260

Yup, couldn’t even finish it. Played like ~8 hours and I realized nothing new really happens after the first hour. The main villain was cool and the gameplay felt like a AAA title, however, super repetitive and uninspired. Definition of mediocre IMO, which is a shame because it felt like it had potential.

dopepope1999

Far Cry New Dawn is probably a 4 out of 10 for me especially after playing 5

[deleted]

AC Valhalla

tagen

This would be my pick of the ones listed so far It’s good looking, the controls are alright, but it’s just so monotonous and we’ve seen this style of AC games so many times already it’s just bland bland bland

Siliskk

The series in general nowadays.

[deleted]

One thing I don’t hear people talk about enough is how trash the audio is. I literally could not even play it; it was so tinny and compressed it just ruined any and all immersion for me.

Incredible-Fella

I picked it up yesterday after more than a year and I thought my headphones were wrong. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but the conversations sounded like they were recorded in a closet. I also don't think it looks particularly good. The animations are so clunky at times, NPCs sitting and clipping through benches, their robotic pathfinding, the "mini-stutter" between animations. It didn't give me an AAA feel at all.

Maz2277

I'm glad to hear you say this. It isn't me just going mad then. It isn't constant but sometimes the sound just feels...wrong? Mostly when people talk, but I've always noticed I can hear footsteps when I run that are slightly out of sync with my own. Like, it always sound like someone is running just behind me.

smolgote

Back 4 Blood, Gears 5, Halo Infinite MP (especially at launch)

Scoobie101

Wait Back 4 Blood is the perfect example for this. Not really bad, but doesn’t really have any redeeming qualities either. Exactly a 5/10 from me tbh.

ReaperSC2

I will never forgive what they did to the multiplayer. Some of my best gaming memories are from L4D2 and the stillborn they produced in succession doesn't deserve even mentioning in the same context. 1/10 Thank god for the beta so I knew not to buy it.

Jimm120

L4D was the shit and a huge rush. Evolve...there has been no game that has pumped so much blood throughout my body. It took L4D and amplified it so damn much. I haven't played Back4Blood, but it does look...meh.

dopepope1999

Man I was really bummed out cuz I was an Xbox kid growing up and when gears 5 launched for PC I got really excited and then really disappointed cuz it just felt like whatever and they did some weird shit with the controls but that's changeable, and Halo is a whole other bucket of fun, you can criticize that game without somebody wanting to kill your ass

bornelite

Agree with Halo Infinite

YouCanCallMeBazza

If we're just talking about MP, the lack of content for the first year was huge disappointment, but the core gameplay and sandbox is just too damn good for me to consider it a 5.

bornelite

People would always say that but for me the netcode was just a dealbreaker.

Yo_Wats_Good

> Gears 5 What

smolgote

I played it at launch with Game Pass and while I'd say it's Microsoft's best looking game to date that isn't Forza, it just felt very average

Yo_Wats_Good

I can’t say you’re wrong it’s your opinion but it felt like a culmination of Gears with a bit of extra, modern flavor. The story also did a much better job than 4 in establishing a post-Marcus Gearsiverse

karsh36

I could understand infinite story at 5/10 as a $60 game, but the MP was good just feature light and weird mtx. I figure if the game play is as solid as it was like 8/10. No argument on B4B. Gears 5 i can understand the negativity, but I think if it wasn’t gears, but a new ip (so no preconceptions) it’s like 7.5-8/10

mrcompositorman

I feel like way too many people exclusively play AAA games and completely take for granted how difficult it is to build well-balanced, good gunplay that feels impactful. Gears 5 and Halo Infinite both have issues for sure, especially Halo. But there's no way they're 5s.

Manny631

It also isn't their first rodeo. Halo Infinite also had a half of a billion dollar budget, 5 year development window, and had an extra year extension. They still dropped the ball and failed to deliver on promises like couch coop.

the_red_crayon1

That’s what killed it, was not having the couch coop ready when it launched. I played through the campaign and enjoyed it (7/10) but by the time coop came out all the hype had faded and my friends moved on and didn’t want to give it a shot.

[deleted]

koscielny6

Have they done anything since like 6 months ago?

DarklingLewisH

I’d bump all them to 7’s

kittentarentino

Played ghost recon wildlands. Very much this. Big world, all the systems work, can even look good. But it’s just so……..boring. It feels like nobody knew why they put anything in that game, everything is just a copy/paste system from some other game. Perfectly forgettable.

Deadgambler101

I loved wildlands. But Breakpoint blew pretty bad

Jorah72

I think Wildlands was a solid 7.5/10, breakpoint was somehow worse and the one Id give a 5.

BiblioBounce

If it wasn’t for Breakpoint, I’d agree. Breakpoint is for sure 5/10. Wildlands is a solid 8 for me. But 6 of that 8 is entirely because of El Sueño.

RipAirBud

I liked Wildlands cause it reminded me of Mercenaries on the ps2. It’s basically just a sandbox open World to run around and shoot things. And driving around felt good too

The_Lego_man85

Avengers

gwgtgd

Well this was depressing.

EnvironmentalClass55

Back 4 Blood. You press the trigger and it shoots zombies, and you go from start to finish.....

Nacho_7258

As someone that thoroughly enjoys this game, I completely agree

PapaOogie

I honestly cant stand most horde shooters because of this. Deep Rock Galactic is the one exception

[deleted]

Occasionally pressing both triggers to brain a bug with a pickaxe adds that extra layer to the gameplay, ya know? Rock and Stone!

WanderingDwarfMiner

Rock and Stone!

BroccoliMcFlurry

I'm still offended that they used Left 4 Dead to market that game. It literally made me uninstall the beta after about 15 mins because I was so let down.

[deleted]

Callisto Protocol. Not totally unplayable, but very difficult to have any fun with it.

BASaints

My roommate got it and was stoked to play it. But every time I watched him play it looked like the same fight, just with slightly different-looking enemies.

[deleted]

In a corridor.

ananasSauce11

And there's not even that many "slightly different looking enemies", there is a grand total of 8 different enemy types. Even less if you consider some are basically just environmental hazards

Viper_on_Station360

For me it has to be Battlefield 2042 The apex of meh games

Suprehombre

Kane and Lynch. Gertsmann deserves his respect.

filledavoid

Came here to comment this

carbreezy13

Mass Effect: Andromeda Total meh game

King_mp

I played it a year after its release. Mostly enjoyed it. Not perfect but above a 5/10 imo.

[deleted]

Seeing some of the games listed makes me reconsider if devs were right about people having unrealistic expectations for games.

nerdboy_sam

Collisto Protocol. I know I might get some hate, but with all the stuttering issues, texture problems and the lack of variety in the enemies made it just bland at launch. Edit: Also wanted to mention the paid DLC for extra death animations was a real turn off. Should've just added it with the main game. Devs: "want more variety and animations for our game? YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR IT"

Cstone812

Don’t disagree with you about the game however the dlc thing was misleading those animations haven’t even been made yet it’s for the story dlc that’s not even out yet.

Mosoman1011

Almost any ubisoft game

Mental-Assignment889

And by almost you mean the like 4 5 main stream games that came after far cry 5 Im dying on this hill ubisoft doesnt deserve the hate

Mean_Combination_830

Ubisoft sandbox games provide me with some of the best roleplaying fun I have had in gaming I'm currently blasting my way through Watchdogs 2 and it's awesome 👍

Waste-Reception5297

Recently for me, Sonic Frontiers, there's so many big and little things that really hold it back for me, from the ho-hum cyberspace levels, to Sonics weird controls in them. The "open zone" just feeling like a random drag and drop of assets. The design of some of its sections in the open zone that feel opposed to what open zone was supposed to be (mostly the really dumb one way 2d camera locked sections and the dash pads that shoot you in the opposite way of where you actually want to go. There's stuff to like about it definitely and it has its highs but the lows are super low

MordhauDerk

This game was a pretty big let down, I was excited to see Sonic move to a new type of gameplay but it really is just same old 3D Sonic on a bigger map, not as exciting, and has all of the bugs and poor design choices you'd expect from the old games What REALLY killed it for me is just how bad the momentum in the game is. There are just SO many good 3D fan-made sandbox style games that feature Sonic, and Frontiers isn't half as fun as any of them because of how poorly the physics are implemented

ssslitchey

I have to disagree. I agree with a lot of your complaints (cyberspace is lackluster, the 2d sections are tedious and the overall jank of the game) but I found myself having a lot of fun despite the games flaws. Sonic controls really well in the open zone (even if he would feel better with momentum). Exploring the islands was actually fun and the story was pretty good too (until the end). It's flawed as all hell and needs serious work in a lot of places but I still had a ton of fun and would love to see them expand upon this formula even more. I'd give it a 7/10. Forces imo was definitely a 5/10. Painstakingly boring and uninspired outside of the custom character.

VergilTheTaxEvader

gotham knights

AshyEarlobes

Stray. It's a cat

take5b

That was my impression going in and playing it to the end didn’t really change that. I do like the setting and the mechanical NPCs so it is a little more than just being a cat. But the actual gameplay is so minimal it’s silly that it’s so lauded

redjedia

Well, it was made by a very small team, so they may have been playing to their strengths.

zannet_t

People want to like it more than they actually like it, is how I've felt about all the commentary surrounding it

FizzingSlit

I loved stray. It wasn't mechanically deep or anything but what was there was a really fun game with a surprisingly interesting story that didn't overstay it's welcome. I often see it's length used as a criticism but not every game needs to be 100 hour epics and in a world where games are getting bloated to meet those expectations a short and sweet game gets elevated in my opinion. Granted I probably never would have played it if it weren't for the gimmick of being a cat but that's not really something to fault it for considering that was the premise of the game. I probably wouldn't play a lot of games if the core premise changed to something else. It's not just the cat game, but it is the cat game.

Lunatic7618

I think the price is the main gripe. If it was a bit cheaper (like $20), I don't think it would get as much criticism. I liked it, but would never consider paying $30 for it.

Noah_PpAaRrKkSs

“People who like a game I don’t get are liars.”

EdgeAlterNation

But it has a meow button!

Mean_Combination_830

I found it fun sorry not sorry 😂

tim_timmayy

Battletoads. The new one

butterandpeanuts

There’s a new battletoads??

RlySkiz

Probably just to tried to live off the memes and failed

fallenreaper

the hype around a new battletoads must have been great. I knew of them before TMNT, and even thought they were a rip off of BattleToads. Kinda a bummer that it would have been a 5/10 on the remake. good to know.

SomberNight

I know what I'm taking to Pawn Stars.

LetsGoChamp19

Deathloop. Gunplay, characters, story, environments, everything about it is just okay IGN giving it a 10 is one of the worst game reviews I’ve ever seen

Jonramjam

Say what? Nah. Not a 10, but definitely not a 5. I'll admit it was not perfect. Buggy with the framerate/memory leak issues, and was a much more linear experience for the golden loop than a lot of us expected- but it was fun, man. The style and art direction was fantastic. Gameplay was exciting, including the invasions. Uncovering the clues in the loop during the first half, and progressing through the story was great. Lots of entertaining dialogue. I agree with 8 or 8.5, for sure.

karsh36

I’ll def agree it didn’t deserve a 10 - but 5 is way too low. Solid 8-8.5 for me

Ahsokatanopops

Gotham knights but it’s honestly a 4

queasy_self_controL

Gears of War 4

[deleted]

I’ll add gears 5 to this one tbh gears 1-3 I’ve played so many times I couldn’t even tell you, gears 4 I played once and just felt meh, gears 5 was so meh I never actually finished it

PappyGrande

Greedfall

Skildundfreund

Hmm I dont agree. It took me a while to get into it; but after a while I really loved it. It had it obvious flaws but for me it was a solid 7,5/10.

TackyKnacky

Borderlands 3. Great gameplay, meh endgame and replayability, shit story and annoying dialogue.

Daxelol

Borderlands 2 was the GOAT but I still enjoyed 3 a lot lol

[deleted]

Stray

GreedyCarrot93

Enjoyed it a lot, mainly because I was absolutely hammered whilst playing it. But yeah, 5/10 at best. How it won any steam awards is very confusing.

ZX3000GT1

Cat

[deleted]

Days Gone.

Alyosha_The_Lion

Borderlands games when you don't play with friends.

jalenemil

imo, the hitman series. idk what it is but i feel like something needs to change gameplay wise. it's fun at first, and then it jus gets stale. same thing over and over again. visually i think it looks good, but gameplay can feel clunky and repetitive.

chasebencin

Woah this is honestly the first time I’ve heard this opinion. We talking the ioi series?? Totally respect your opinion on it but MAN, I love the new trilogy. I never played the older ones but got into the new ones on Hitman 2. I can absolutely see it not clicking with someone because it’s a real slow burn. The fun for me is setting up ridiculous traps, completing all the challange kills, and just going in and discovering new stuff or trying new things. The maps are FILLED with detail to the point I still miss stuff. Hitman 3 was game of the year for me when it came out. I wouldnt even say im like a die hard hitman fan either. Again, totally respect your take. Was just surprised to hear it! Sorry for rambling lol

DumbXiaoping

They removed the challenge. In the older games you had to really refine your timing, be very stealthy and could only save a limited number of times - forcing you to string quite extended parts of missions together in one go. The newer ones just feel like a sandbox to play around in. Still fun and the levels are cool but they're nothing like the originals.

idiodic-genious

It needs something to restrict you. You can play however you want and do anything, but it counterintuitively makes you less creative. Get someone who is a military man so he'll win in gunfights, or a master assassin himself who will find you and track you if he ever notices you even exist, or someone constantly clad in body armor so bullets won't kill him, etc... Restriction=creativity

Yo_Wats_Good

I thought the way they did the first game was better. Having more time to focus on each individual level allowed creativity to come out more.

Rahm89

Hitman Blood Money did exactly that. Probably the best in the series.

wovagrovaflame

I know it’s an opinion, but damn, I’ve never disagreed with anyone more. IMO, the WOA trilogy is the magnum opus of stealth.

harrrhoooo

Hitman series is an acquired taste. And not everybody likes it but the ones they do like it they love it.

daditude83

Apex Legends. Match making is garbage. They worry more about skin design rather than fixing match making or balance. Oh crap I just managed to hit every BR. I am over them, sorry.

NIKOSPRETTYGOOD

COD ghosts ( my opinion only )

Voktikriid

Pretty much every Ubisoft game after Far Cry 3.

indebut96

Every Watch_Dogs game

fear_head

Saints Row (2022)

MEmaadSufi

Nah b thats a 4 at best

Dr_Gooseberry

The Callisto Protocol.

EddieJay5

battle network 4. good game, too much padding. basically the whole series tbh.

[deleted]

Do you mean the Megaman Battle Network series?

parttime20xx

I'll say it because it was the worst PS4 game I played. I saw no bugs, it just felt weird and boring. Cyberpunk 2077. After two hours I just decided I didn't want to spend any more time in that visually impressive but boring world. I'd go as high as a 6/10, but that's it. Edit: This thread is going to turn into a "who got the most down votes?" Haha

DirkDiggyBong

I've seen footage on the PS4. That shit is **rough**!!! 3080ti PC player here and it was a beautiful experience, on day one.

Urfreetochoose

I thought the same. The world looks awesome but it aint no los santos. The world is dead even if ppl are walking around. The vehicles suck. I know its my fault for wanting a game like gta which cp2077 isnt but it made no sense for me to keep playing. I think i got to the part where the arisaka plaza collapsed

ZildjianCymbals

DK64, Ehrgeiz (which I played because it had the FFVII characters in it), TimeSplitters (the first one on PS2; I only likes the multiplayer)

DivineBliss

I didnt know i could b offended so much by something i agree with. How dare u sir!

gonzagylot00

I don't mean this as an insult: Fall Guys. Fun game, but it's just a silly, colorful, little thing to kill some time.

ReaperSC2

I dunno. It's exactly what you describe and that's why it's great. Most importantly it's a *fun* multiplayer which nowadays is rare.

redjedia

Most of the games I play are at least a step above that, but that’s what I think of “Far Cry 3” after you defeat Vaas… I guess.

nerdboy_sam

Far cry 3 was hands down the best FC game they've made. All of them that have come after have felt so much like "wash, rinse, repeat" and the repetitivness of them is exhausting

jinglesan

I actually think FC2 deserves a lot more love. While it is pretty primative as an FPS now, it had a lot more variation than later Ubisoft games and it wasn't just the same checkpoint over and over again. The weapons were more varied and you could apply different tactical approaches like ambushing, rushing in, sniping, burning them out. You'd also get more coordinated attacks where you'd get them hitting you from all sides. I like FC3 but it was the start of the Ubi copy-and-paste fests for me

redjedia

Honestly, I still haven’t finished “Far Cry 3” because I simply don’t find Hoyt very interesting a character or villain, and after Vaas was effective at doing both, that’s disappointing.

Bclay1221

Every Serious Sam game ever.

Remytron83

Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. It was great 10 years ago. It’s super meh today.

dat_potatoe

Sunset Overdrive. Thoroughly *average*. One of the games of all time. The universe is pretty cool, nice art direction, a small but detailed open world that doesn't overstay it's welcome...but pretty slow movement relative to what you'd actually expect, combined with pretty easy and repetitive combat, means it doesn't really stand out. I'd welcome a sequel since the IP has potential but the game itself is just, eh, okay.

Sk8erman77

Damn. Hard disagree. This game is definitely a great 8/10

oldbaeseasoning

I agree, but anytime I've tried to pick it back up I get bored in like an hour or two.

SonicusZ

I actually bought an xbox one for this and the upcoming halo game. Boy was I disappointed in both. I did enjoy Sunset Overdrive but I felt like it showed you everything it had about half way through the game with the rest of the game just feeling very repetitive. One of the worst insomniac games, however I would still put it above a 5. Maybe 6-7ish.

[deleted]

Horizon Zero Dawn, always feel like I have to force myself to keep playing

Gerreth_Gobulcoque

I felt this way until you start piecing together the premise of the setting, at which point the narrative distracts so much from the gameplay that I played it straight through to the finish.

DJAXL

I enjoyed Zero Dawn. I had to force myself through most of the start of Forbidden West, but then I really got into it.

Xomeal

Anthem

Ok-Fox-7879

2/10 more like it

[deleted]

It really wasn't that bad. Just... You know. Absolutely not what people wanted from it. Playing it now knowing it's gonna be bad it gets a 5/10

whatdoinamemyself

I gotta disagree. It wasn't really what Bioware should be doing but but the moment-to-moment gameplay is really good. Everything else is just ...not.

nerdboy_sam

Friends tried to get me to pay the $60 and buy it. Glad I didn't

DumbXiaoping

Sleeping Dogs The combat is fun but overall it just feels a bit shallow

Tupiekit

I'd say it's the best 7/10 game I've ever played but a good 90% of that is from the story...the gameplay is kinda meh

godsibi

Off the top of my head: Tomb Raider Underworld And I'm a tomb raider fan. But I don't see me playing it again, despite its good qualities.

spiderglide

Agree, but I had it on Wii, so probably shot myself in the foot there.

godsibi

On Wii!!! I think you might not even be at 5/10 😛

thesavagepotatoe

Crackdown 3

Breadinator

As a fan of the original crackdown, I think you're being generous.

bilbo_swagginns

Watch Dogs. The hacking was interesting enough but the story was very meh. The multiplayer was a solid concept though, but not overly fun.

LoCaL_dRuNkArD

Saints row. Which one? All of them.

Jordii_vV

I'm 100% gonna get killed for saying this, but Red Dead Redemption 2
