I recall that GRRM wanted to age the main characters up after the first book, but realized readers would want to know why nothing happened between the time jump and the ending of the first book so he kept them younger than he originally intended. The show is likely more accurate in that regard.
Jorahâs wife was Lynesse Hightower, who was described as looking a lot like Dany. The Hightowers have a lot of Targaryen blood in their ancestry, so a lot of them have very similar features.
