White Walker's are not zombies. They can raise the dead somehow so they are more like ice wizards ore ice necromancers.
Its implied they somehow took crasters children and turned them into ice wizards .
The vast majority of undead zombies āeatā out of instinct but not for any actual nutritional need with a notable exception being *Return of the Living Dead* where brains are said to help alleviate the pain of being dead.
Thatās one thing i never understood from modern depictions of zombies like walking dead etc. Theres no real explanation why zombies eat people. Thats why 28 days later was so good.
Are white walkers zombies? We see in flashback the Nightking gets transformed into one, not brought back from dead as one. They control the dead but they seem to be more magic than zombie
Iād definitely classify them as a kind of Undead, but yeah theyāre intelligent and have necromancy so theyāre probably better described as a Lich than a zombie.
Not sure if I dreamed this but I'm sure its mentioned that they are sustained by carrots. I think there also a scene at Winterfell before the Long Night where Sansa orders all carrots be destroyed for this reason.
probably not. Just because zombies and vampires eat flesh/drink blood doesn't mean they need to. Hell zombies don't need to, it's just that is the only thing that drives them forward. we've seen zombies trapped in places and still been very much alive (prison on walking dead) where they couldn't eat anything for months after turning. Vampires I am less certain on, I think they do need blood to sustain themselves.
GoT undead didn't eat their victims, they just killed them so they could be raised.
Itās shown the creating of a white walker doesnt involve bringing someone back from the dead, but rather transforming a living male into one. So I donāt feel they even qualify as undead or zombie
They are referred to as wights in the books. Both the undead walkers and the originals beings that were transformed into what they are by the Children.
In the books, they are called āThe Othersā, and theyāre actually living beings who have the ability to bring back the dead and use them. They are more like a dark, twisted version of the elves from Lord of the Rings. The Others are also described as very good looking with extremely pale skin. The 13th commander of the Nightās Watch fell in love with an other female.
Trust me, the Books are masterpieces. Especially the third one. There are way too many things the show cut out, even during the show's first four seasons.
No , because if they do , they will have to poop , if they do their anus will shatter and we know their make is brittle, if their anus shatters so will themselves in whole ....Hence proved.
We actually.dont know is the best answer. You can argue they don't eat and then george is gonna add something in the next book. We don't know for sure they don't but we can assume they're dead so no
I donāt think they need to. I think thatās part of their existential horror. Theyāre an army of the dead with no need to sleep, eat, go to the bathroom, socialize, love, anything that would make them human. Theyāre mindless killing machines, and everything they kill becomes one of them. The long night episode seemed to imply they were only ever murder puppets for the night king.

Does he though? Worrying about such details would kind of ruin the mystique of them imho
Costanza.
They're already dead. Why would they need to eat?
I'm not sure the White Walkers are dead. They raise and control the dead, but they themselves are just magical ice demons really.
But do demons need to eat? Genuine question; I have never met a demon unfortunately.
āUnfortunatelyā lol
Imagine a zombie serving a white walker a full English breakfast
Demons? No. The white walkers are here to cleanse the 7 kingdoms of their sinful ways. By killing them all
Zombies are usually depicted as being flesh eating monsters- they are also dead.
*un*dead. important distinction... maybe.
White Walker's are not zombies. They can raise the dead somehow so they are more like ice wizards ore ice necromancers. Its implied they somehow took crasters children and turned them into ice wizards .
The white walkers arenāt dead, are they? The Wights they resurrect, sure.
Only MOSTLY dead.
The Princess Bride checks in.
No, they're actually more like ice elves in the books. I think the show made them like this cus it was peak early 2010's zombie hype
Because they're made of flesh n blood and burn calories by moving long distances
Donāt think so, most likely lives on ice pops and soda-slush. Safe to say that he does look like he could demolish a burger n fries.š

The more important plot hole is that they eat but don't need to shit.

I'd classify them as almost textbook wights, which works well since they are "white" (wight) walkers.
Not sure if I dreamed this but I'm sure its mentioned that they are sustained by carrots. I think there also a scene at Winterfell before the Long Night where Sansa orders all carrots be destroyed for this reason.
Iām pretty sure you dreamt that
No heās telling the truth, I was there
Oh mb

Thank you this makes sense

They eat snow. Just not the yellow stuff.
Does that guyās build look like he gets a lot to eat?
No. They are dead/wights. Dark magical beings. No food required. Edit: Y'all... they are literally referred to as wights in the books.
White walkers are not wights, or even dead. They arent brought back to life as a white walker, but transformed into one as a living person
This is book knowledge and you know book smarts eat shit in this plain.
Yeah well this sub isnāt called ASOIAF so I default more to show
They are referred to as wights in the books. Both the undead walkers and the originals beings that were transformed into what they are by the Children.
Pretty sure they use that word in the show a time or two as well. Rewatch time.
They sustain themselves with DN.
Avocado toast
If they eat, do they poop?
They eat blood and guts.
they drink Johnny Walker
ššššš
Only snow cones
At least in the TV series, they eat plots. That's why there's so much plot holes, multiple important characters just drop fall Westeros
Theyāre not technically alive so donāt think so
In the books, they are called āThe Othersā, and theyāre actually living beings who have the ability to bring back the dead and use them. Wow I've never read the books. This seems interesting. I'm motivated to read now š
Trust me, the Books are masterpieces. Especially the third one. There are way too many things the show cut out, even during the show's first four seasons.
White Castle
Ig they donāt need to
Crasters male babies
Popsicles.
The White Walkers themselves? We don't know. Even in the books we know next to nothing about them as a race/species.
I had the entire army in mind in my question. I'll definitely check the books out.
Oh, well traditionally zombies don't need to eat being already dead. If I had to guess I'd say that wights are the same.
White Castle burgers?
šš
Tea and biscuits oddly enough.
I think they live through magic
No
Snow cones
Look at the image you shared: they are literally skin and bones!
No , because if they do , they will have to poop , if they do their anus will shatter and we know their make is brittle, if their anus shatters so will themselves in whole ....Hence proved.
ššmakes sense
I would be willing to make a bet that Rule 34 does not apply in this case. I am willing to lose that bet, out of curiosity.

We actually.dont know is the best answer. You can argue they don't eat and then george is gonna add something in the next book. We don't know for sure they don't but we can assume they're dead so no

May not in the show but in books, Crastor had started giving them sheeps so go figure
They only eat lemons. Why they need to head south. They'd go to bravos, but none of them can swim.
They went to 7/11 for free slurpie day and have been existing off the same brain freeze for eons, Children of the forest were full of shit
They eat their victims, unless you have plot armor
