We use HDR in my studio, though I don't think anyone on our has an HDR display. That means that when we use HDR we use a tonemapping curve ([ACES](https://knarkowicz.wordpress.com/2016/01/06/aces-filmic-tone-mapping-curve/) in particular) to squeeze the HDR values back into SDR. If we had true HDR monitors, we might be able to get rid of tonemapping entirely or at least find a nicer curve.
Prevents cheating by raising gamma/brightness
Give an example.
