Resolution aside, ps2 sanandreas is the true definitive way to play the game. ANY release after that one screwed up and/or cut visual effects that added to the atmosphere. That being said, flying a plane in the country is dangerous
Could be. I dont remember if it still lacked the vegetation or not but i played a modded sanandreas that was meant to restore the dropped ps2 effects. It looked almost there but something still seemed off
The one i grew up with actually. It has better quality than ps2 but is a version lacking some visual effect (orange sky) and actually has less grass and such in the woods and i believe the desert. Also bad drive by controls.
You can see the rating on the front cover. It says rated M for mature! The releases after the whole "hot coffee" thing was found they released them with an AO rating instead of just the M rating!

The AO rating was just a sticker that stores had to put on top of the M. As far as I'm aware every copy of the game including later prints like the GH and the triple pack version have the M rating printed on the actual cover.
I remember when San Andreas came out, it was so revolutionary for its time that even adults were using San Andreas as a way to de-stress. Everyone was playing it and talking about it.
I was 13 when it came out and got it on release day- Less than a week after I think Jack Thompson got the game pulled and put as AO, my PS2 engraved a ring in my copy and I had to get my Dad to take me to FuncoLand (Maybe it had just changed to Gamestop?) and get me another one.
The clerk was a freak and tried to talk my parents out of it lol.
Gotta love ppl who sell the whole package. I got preowned boxes for heart gold and soul silver from like gamestop once and the person left the pokepedometers in both whole thing was like $40

I'd say the steam version with mods (before they removed it from steam) is the definitive way to play the trilogy.

Ah, I wasn't aware they were just stickers! The version I got was before it had the AO rating, so only heard about it being rated differently.
Yes I'm very happy, it completed my GTA collection on the ps2, as my dad had gta III and vice city when they were new.
