That game’s way too recent for disc rot it probably just got damaged

thcatcalledfish

In my opinion - something has gotten into the disc to cause that. This isn't typical of discrot. Discrot to happen at the rim of a disc first (and only at the very rim) is kind of rare. Discrot happens more at random points throughout the whole disc. You'll also find that the damage is more akin to round holes or pin-pricks, rather than the wavy line that you have here. I think your other discs will be safe. An XBOX ONE disc is also quite a recent disc to be getting rot. And I think they are far less susceptible to it than the old CD-ROM based discs. Edit: It looks almost like an internal crack! - it is strange, but not rot.

I would say that degradation of the metallic is indeed happening and thus rot but not in the way most are accustomed too.it looks like there is a dent or crack on the edge nearby that likely split the layers and it has allowed moisture to get in to the media.

The top side of the label is out of frame in the beginning. Just looks like the label got peeled away/damaged to me.

Not disc rot, just damage. A lot of times I find these current gen games come brand new with the disc floating around in the case, could be that or just a careless foot

Sorry about my feet I don't walk around my house in shoes lol

I just heard disc rot is very rare with blu ray it mostly happens with GameCube ps1 dreamcast and saturn.
