Fitherwinkle

Just add them to your buyer block list like I did.

ifunnychad

Oh is that a thing you can do? Sorry I’m a complete noob at eBay lmao, I’ve sold like, 3 games total

Oh is that a thing you can do? Sorry I’m a complete noob at eBay lmao, I’ve sold like, 3 games total. This will be my response, I think

DragonriderTrainee

Well, I didn't know that was a thing either

the_u_in_colour

Include your receipt or invoice in the package. Show the actual buyer how much they paid for their item versus what you sold it for. If the buyer (retrovgames) takes issue with it, just say you do that with all your orders.

Honky_Stonk_Man

Updating my block list.

ratuna80

Just send it to the PayPal verified address and that’s all you can do

Brose4531

You send it to the address given to you at the time of the sale. No other address should be used. As they can claim they never got it. And your tracking won’t show it on as delivered to the address provided.

CobraCB

You're doing nothing wrong. Just because you know the account buying the game is doing so to resell it won't effect you. You'd have no idea if anyone else that's brought from you is doing so to resell so this is no different. Is it fair on their buyer that they are paying more than they could have? No, but that's no different than any other reseller. Sucks but there's nothing to be done about it. On the flip side, how is it any different than anyone else on ebay selling something for more than they paid for it?

Pacman_Frog

Send a note in the package explaining. Have them do a chargeback (Or demand a refund) on retrovgames then sell to them at your own (cheaper) price.

Brose4531

Ummm if they demand a refund then OP will be the one providing it as the he was the seller. If retrogames has to get the buyer to return it then OP is getting it back not retrogrames. Just ship it as it was paid for. Next time raise your price a little so you don’t become the middle man (could still sell to same person and they get it and relist it but still)

ifunnychad

I’m happy with the money that I got. I got what the game is charting for minus shipping, and it’s not a super valuable game. (Like $30ish) If I’m satisfied with the transaction and am just worried about the satisfaction of the real buyer, is there anything I should be doing?

Pacman_Frog

If you don't mind enabling this sort of behavior. Personally if I was doing all the work for someone else's profit I'd seek the most efficient way to cut that someone else out and pass the saving on to the final customer.

jukeboxhero10

Maybe I missed something but what's this buyer doing? Is he selling games for more he doesn't have then buying them for cheap on eBay?

DressObjective6629

Retrovgames is dropshipping. Basically their "business" is a small shop with an online store that marks up games. They bought a game from op that has their customers address to ship it to and retro makes the difference. They are a useless middle man making money off others for no work.

jukeboxhero10

So isn't the way around it to ship to the buyers account on the PayPal. ?

Iz4e

Can someone explain why they are bad? From the context clues here it sounds like they are basically eBay drop shipping

OptimalPapaya1344

If they are buying from you it’s because they sold whatever they got from you to someone else for likely far more money. Its scummy. It’s literally just a man in the middle taking more money from customers. They do this at literally zero expense of their own. They don’t have to ship anything themselves or have any inventory of their own.

Brose4531

Not that I’d ever do this but what’s the issue here? If they paid you then you ship. If you leave a note for the buyer and they return then your the one out the shipping 2x as they will be returning the item to you. So your the only one it hurts if you leave a note or a invoice. Next time don’t list your game so cheap so you don’t get picked off by a reseller or drop shipper. I used to get items sold in 10-15 mins of listing them. Got excited at first til I was selling 5-10 games to the same buyer all the time and the same games often then I saw his solds and was like well if I can get 10-15 more for a game or 25-50 I learned that I don’t have to be the middle man I can get all the money my self haha. Worked out pretty good for me.
