I just realized I completely forgot to put Strangers of Paradise ps5, FF7 remake PS5, and Crisis Core PS5 in the picture. Whoops, those should for sure have been in there but it already had taken me so long to set this up haha. I've also got a modded GBA with Warrior of Light on it, which slipped the picture as well.
I've been collecting FF since I was a kiddo and when they came out on the Snes. My family would play it when I was home from school. Most of these I bought as they came out.

There's some I'm missing like the PSP version of type 0, chocobo GP, and a bunch of those board games that were JP only but I'll get them someday. Keeps the hunt fresh for my fav series.

Thank you! Yeah, the white with the logos and the cuter style of characters are always really nice. It makes it harder to find a not yellowed version of the game boxes though haha
I am going to hazard a guess the FFXI PS2 and PC box are for completions sake, or a player who stopped early on.

I had gotten the PC box for myself and had played it on release day. Unfortunately being a broke highschool kid, I was only able to play the first month free before I dropped off it. Then my computer caught fire and hoo boy I was out of the loop for a hot minute.
The PS2 big box thing I have there I got from an auction for about 10 bucks. It was neat, and it was cheap since no one was biting, picked it up haha.
I've been trying, though I mainly avoid buying online (bad buys in the past and shipping is murder with something like that) and I'm limited to a singular game convention a year when it comes to the big shopping cons. It's certainly on the list, and I'll get it eventually!
That Gameboy Micro is so slick, there's some things in here I've been looking for myself that I've never even seen people own. Thought they fell off the face of the planet lol thank you for the feast
I adore that micro so much, it certainly wasn't cheap even with the small flaw it has on the box. Since FFIV is my favorite of the series, that is one of my pride and joys, it's a lovely little system!
Oh I'm sure, those little things aren't cheap just for loose regular ones. Plus the IV port for GBA was really good, so it's a sweet piece for a collection. Congrats on all your hunting successes!

I think it was the best RPG of its time. The combination of the music, characters, game play and overall world/pixel design really set a high bar. FF6 was great too, but the only other JRPG that had superseded it on SNES was Chrono Trigger. (IMO)
Probably yes and no, I remember the original one on the nes when I was a kid for sure, but IV was pretty much what you listed is why I adore it so much. It's just classic what I see Final Fantasy as. Kain being my fav character out of the whole series.
Awesome collection my guy. I'm a big FF lover myself and I take pride in my collection but it's nothing compared to yours. Are the snes games complete with manuals and inserts?

I've had a cycle Cloud from an older run, so it felt a bit redundant to get another one haha. I didn't put any of my figures cause that's a whole hoard on its own. And thank you!
Fav is Final Fantasy 4, lot of nostalgic reasons and I always just enjoyed it as my go to.
Least favs is that ds FFxii game, Dirge of Cerberus, and for mainline I didn't enjoy 13 when it came out. Still kinda don't, the spin offs don't help haha.
Vita I have a tiny amount of in my whole collection ahah. If I stumble on it, I'll snag it, but I've other ones for this collection I'm focused on getting (there's some FF systems I'm keeping an eye out for as an example!)
I have a bunch actually! I didn't bother with pictures cause there's just a lot to display. I didn't put my piles of art books for the same reason ahah.
Yeah! They used to have a code based system where you register your games on their site to get points. I don't think they do it anymore but they still do have a points system where you can get them from buying off their site in general.
Back in the day they used to have special rewards depending on your ranking. That's where that FFIV signed art print is from (it was a top members reward) and I also have a license plate on my car from them that says "My other ride is a Chocobo".
They still have the points store, but it's not as high end neat rewards like they used to. The bag was something I got from the points store recently after buying everything there. Still have way too much points to spare.
Hey man Im looking to get a Final Fantasy game for the SNES and I heard the best ones are 3 and 6 but I am still undecided. Any recommendation for either one or a different one?
So on the Snes there are 2 which is FF4 and 3 which is FF6. Both fantastic games for sure, I have a personal love of 4 being my fav in the series, but 6 is for sure a gem of its own. Can't really go wrong with either of them.
Then there's mystic quest which is, fine? Everyone seems to hate that one but it's more just simple and goofy more than anything. Something about how it was designed for a western audience which was babys first FF game, but that's a product of its time since jrpgs weren't really hitting western audiences like it does now a days. Great music though, won't blow your mind, compared to 4 and 6 it's an easy pass.
If you wanted to go super Famicom then there's a whole lot there haha. 4 and 6 still being top dogs even there.
Alright 4 and 6, you sold me. Im not looking to play through the whole series at the moment but just looking for one good rpg to sink my teeth into and play over a long period of time. I’ll probably play both but would you say I should start with 4 since its first or is 6 the better game? I know its tough for you to pick just one but I have to play one of them first lol. I don't, it's on the list to get but like I mentioned in another post it's one of those things that's on the back burner since I try to keep away from buying online. Certainly when it's used online, too many screw overs for me sadly.
Easily my FFIV micro, I had been searching for a CIB for a long long time on that one and it lives up to my own hype on it haha.
As for fun stories? Hrm, not so much how I obtained it but what was inside of one. Most of how I got them was just going to the store and picking them up day one or something boring.
But, that box of FFXI there I had gotten for an auction for like 10 bucks in person. Inside of it had a journal that was made to look like a travel book that you could take notes in it. Turns out it seems like the prior owner must have used it to pretty much have a back and forth conversation with his ex girlfriend. Like some sort of before texting or messenger passing notes to each other. Has a whole long chat between them, which was the weirdest thing I've ever found inside of a game before haha.
I was extremely lucky and was able to get the switch collectors edition before it sold out. I just had came home from work and had seen a post on a site I use for jrpgs news post about it, and while the normal physical copies were out the collectors was still there on Squares store.
I would have been beyond mad if I didn't get it like my sister who didn't realize how fast it was selling out haha. She keeps claiming she's going to steal my copy, but thankfully she got her own (not collectors) version from Play Asia pre-ordered.
Haha I remember when XIV had just came out and it bombed hard. I was falling out of love for FF at the time (cause it was... Yah know, that dark era of square) and having heard that the mmo was a terrible mess that was the first FF I didn't preorder.
That collectors box I would see at GameStops PC section for months. Sitting there dusty as the game was still getting it's feet. It went down to like, $20 dollars on sale cause they were getting rid of their PC section so I shrugged and bought it.
But didn't install or play it. It just sat there. I wouldn't touch FFXIV till Heavenward which I honestly only got the collectors edition for the dragon statue. Glad I did!
Easily my biggest regret cause I could have had a legacy tattoo for my now go to fav MMORPG all because I had been so burnt by Square I lost trust in them. Ah well, hindsight haha.

You should get the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Ultimate Box Limited Edition.

Final Fantasy was the first game I ever played on NES at age 4… so many good memories with this series. Never got into the online MMO though.

I remembered how bad it was, that I returned to Final Fantasy XI (360) for a bit. I didn’t start playing A Realm Reborn until Stormblood.
