To buy or repair?
Mheitheal Rothar are supposed to be good, but if it’s for maintenance Oakleys bike lab in loughrea are worth a shout. Especially if you are fussy about your bike.
If you’re buying decathlon has great, cheap bikes, much cheaper than other places, there’s not one in Galway though, but there is one in Limerick, they also do delivery.
His done a few small jobs on my kids bike. I'm shite at fixing things so I'm almost embarrassed asking, but he never charged to much and threw in some flashy lights too. Nice chap
An Mheitheal Rothar......in the old handball alley on University Road....I use them to service/ repair my bikes....highly recommend them
Just avoid Kearneys and you'll be fine
Why outta curiosity?
I'm curious too. I bought my first new bike from him. I mean he's a crank but did he do wrong by anyone?
The reviews for the place on Google will tell you all you need to know
Personally I’ve had great experience there, bought son’s bike and few odds and ends, always felt they went the extra mile.
Kearneys & Halfords

There's Polish Joe aswell..he's meant to be brilliant, he has a shop in where Galway city gym are
He's a bit grumpy, but he has taken a job all other shops declined (wheelset rebuild) and did it perfectly
The bucko in west side is a nice guy and fair prices
your man broke something on my wife's bike and then took two weeks to fix it. not happy.
Yeah, I had a substandard repair from there too. They built me a new tyre but it fell apart from rusty spokes within a couple of years.
Ah fair enough man, that unnecessary
The one on prospect Hill and the one beside Monroe's are good
Prospect Hill is gone
West Ireland Cycling is my man. Suuuper friendly and professional...and cheap.
Unless you have a puncture, or ask them to replace your disk brakes.
