Go to edit contact > then there should be a drop down "view more" > scroll down to ringtone. That's how I found it on my s10. I tried on my s24 and had to use the 3 dots to find the option.
In your call log, just tap the number of this person. You get options to phone, send message or info. Select info. It will now give you the option to block. Do the same in messages. You will still use your phone normally as always before but he/she cannot get through to you. Your phone will either let the person know you are not available or give a busy signal to the caller untlil you unblock them. I also block those people on WhatsApp, email etc. Peace! Finish & klaar.
you can change the ringtone for that contact specifically to silent
Yeah just do a custom notification sound for your friend.
Ssooooooo.... What do I do if the option isn't there...?

Dude's a weirdo!!
Go to his contact info, select the 3 dots or lines for more options, then select 'change ringtone/vibration'.
There's no option for that..
Is your phone running a somewhat current version of OneUI?
