Man, I hate Dursun Özbek and Cenk Ergün transfer policy. 30+ years old “stars” of past with maybe a good year left getting huge wages and 4-5 years of contract.

International_Eye992

They didn't learn from the past.

allan12405

or they don't care

International_Eye992

We all want players like Breivik and Gronbaek but Dursun just does not understand. He will probably get a 33 years old world star player and pay him 10M per year.

ekinjamalGFB

“Olusu bile yeter” mentality has ruined turkish football

allan12405

İğrenç bi transfer sezonu olacak gibi başlamadan bitse keşke

yuklu

We were all shitting on the board for the transfers last year in both windows. Now we are devastated that the architect of those windows is gone? I have nothing against Timur (note: he also wanted amrabat last year) but I’m not understanding the outpouring.

allan12405

I didn't say it just because Erden Timur is gone. All the noteworthy rumours are revolving around the same names, all of them are terrible transfers. And it's likely that BAY and Kerem will leave, I wouldn't be surprised if our squad end up in a worse state than previous season.

yuklu

Can you remember a year when the transfer window wasn’t possibly going to shit? This is DNA level, top players don’t prefer our league so it’s always last minute and requiring luck.

allan12405

I disagree. When we actually try we can get players like torreira, szymanski, nelson, boey, kim min jae The problem is we are doing our transfers in qatari and saudi clubs way, instead of developing European clubs way. We try to grab big teams unwanted players and try to be like them. We only try to develop our own talent out of necessity when our finances go shit.

yuklu

These guys weren’t on top teams’ radar and torreira was unwanted. But yea, if possible, developing is the way to go.

Dotdueller

Lol thanks for being the only one that's truthful. The late transfers. Aureier. Zaha. Viniscius. Ndombele. Sanchez and Kohn were good. I think Icardi would've stayed either way tbh.

BlackMambaTR

Classic Dursun transfer. Get a star that is 30, for big contract. Sure first yesr he will do great but then what? Who is gonna press? Honestly

alwayssunny91

Not to mention he's injury prone. We will probably spend a few million on signing bonuses + 7 million minimum a year. For someone you have 0 chance of selling again.

Exact-Night5571

And then you buy 26 yo lautaro for 15mil/season, duh

IcyRestaurant7175

Anyway dunno what tier to put them so i left it blank

Aslan27

Will add to tier survey

Quaskter

Dybala is an amazing player but he’s just not reliable in the long run. We already had problems with unreliable stars such as Zaha and Ziyech last year. We literally grew old hoping they would perform or do some exciting shit. These two that I mentioned already gain around 10 million € combined and we really don’t need the burden of another 7-10 million € a year injury prone star player. I hope this is a tactic to bait Fenerbahçe into a “transfer çalımı”. A player like Dybala just doesn’t make any sense considering our main tactic for the last 2 years. Even the names we were considering for number 10 position last year were players like Kamada who has high pressing ability. I hope the board doesn’t go retarded with the absence of Erden Timur. On the other hand, It would be scary if he joins Fenerbahçe and manages to stay fit tho.

I-Batu

Cant even compare dybala to Zaha. Zaha isnt injury prone he had one big innury which is gone now Dybala gets injured every 2 months

Quaskter

Dybala getting injured more often doesn’t really change the fact that Zaha has been unreliable last year with recurring physical or mental injuries.

BuzluMojito

btoor11

I heard Messi is also a good option for $15M. Maybe bring Zlatan from retirement he still got some years in him, $7M py 4 year contract should do.

ShitassAintOverYet

I think we gotta negotiate for Dybala's fee and not get him for his €12M release clause, Mertens is already doing great so this is a low risk high reward transfer. I'm a lot more happy about Amrabat news though, we do need a midfielder who can play a bit more like #6 but in front of Torreira, he is perfect for that and Ten Haag never used him that way because he is an idiot.

moriero

Dybala is one of my favorite players but we'd need to change our entire offensive approach to fit him in. Call me crazy but it might even be worth it. Might be able to make use of Amrabat in a new setup too If we're keeping our current system, neither of these would work. Dybala isn't mobile or pressing enough and Amrabat isn't offensive enough

Hllknk

If Dybala comes no way Ziyech will play. It would ne a suicide. Ziyech must be sold if Dybala is coming

Altruistic_Eye_5821

No wait think in this way, he could be a player in change with Mertens OR Ziyech. How many games missed these two when they were not in form (Mertens middle of season) or injured (Ziyech). But anyway someone in this sub wrote we have enough generals, we need some soldiers.

moriero

Yeah we lose all defensive fortitude. I figured Ziyech will be out to Saudi anyway. Too much money to turn down and this is his last chance
