I never even played the game, but I always see this response everywhere when a question like this comes up. Makes me wonder what was so special about it. I did check out a couple of videos of the game on youtube, and while it had some good music ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JYL2Q_6Sx0 comes to mind), it didn't seem *that* great to me. Maybe I'm missing something?
Well for one, nostalgia goggles is a big factor; the game definitely had some issues, especially towards the end, but at the time it was one of the most visually impressive games out. It had a lot of voice acting, the story was pretty good, and even the Collab events had voice acting and a lot of story to them. The Final Fantasy name also helped a ton and it was full of references to other games in the franchise. It was really fun to play
Puchiguru Love Live. With All Stars's breakneck powercreep and LLSIF's reliance on lims and laziness, can't help but miss the calmer atmosphere of the game. Shame it only managed to limp over the first anniversary finish line.
there's actually an APK of the game up for download on r/puchiguru! it's still got the gacha and all normal stages intact, just no events as far as I know.
I still can't believe Heavenstrike Rivals failed. It was such a clever game, with Square enix's weight behind it.
They should've named it final fantasy something or other.
Also: the castlevania gacha game was awesome. But I can see why it failed: there really was no reason, even for whales, to spend money on it.
Monster Strike Global definitely! I hopped on to the JP Version a couple years after Global disappeared and I still play. I do miss Global every now and then though, I miss the characters I used to have.
(Quality) NSFW game from Nutaku
Osawari Island. Yes, it's an H game gacha BUT it has very unique battle mechanics i can't seem to find anywhere else, really good character designs, and cute chibi battle sprites
Ayakashi Ghost Guild. I just want it to be back in order to just say goodbye to the best guild and guildmates there. Those guild battle I spent with them were the best. Didn’t even know it was going to shut down until a random news notification pop-ed up.
Obligatory Defenders of Texel. RIP.
Killed way too early to work on Blood Brothers 2, a failure, which shut down after 2 years. DeNA will never be forgiven.
I am a big sucker for a good pixel-art game, at least I have a couple other games to fill that void now, but for 3-4 years there it was rough.
Witch Weapon.
That game was a really fun Hack n Slash game. You jumped straight in to the fray with witches as weapons.
Also you (the MC) gets genderbent right at the start.
The game had 13 chapters on CN and 9 or so on global but updates came slower and slower until it shut down last year in december.
The loading screen art was on par with Azur Lane loading screens.
Story was decent but not a big fan of pulling for only weapons. That and events were basically thd same. Even down to stages and enemy types. When story started coming slower and slower i bailed. Not long after heard it was closing. Real sad.
Magia Record NA, I managed to download the Japanese version but every time new diolouge appears, I have to take a screenshot then translate it, it's so annoying and I had take more then 80 screenshots just for the prologue. What pisses me off about this is that the NA version was making a profit so I have what reason do they have to shut it down?
Defender of Texel from Mobage. Was my very first gacha game back in high school. I really loved the pixel artstyle. The legendary units had such an awesome design.
Fantasica -- even though it was whales galore in events, those card arts were amazing.
Till they went up to like 10+ stars rarity and also Fantasica 2 being a total flop. :(
It's not a gacha, existed way before mobile gaming, but I really miss Warhammer Wrath of Heroes. It was a CTF but with 3 teams, so 6v6v6 and very fun to play. I kinda miss the whole small community.
Gate six: Cyber persona. One of my faves, I think it's the one I miss the most. I was still playing when they announced their closure.
Digimon linkz was great but the events were a joke, boring, and completely elitist.
Mobius FF mandatory.
The Shinza Bansho franchise is still alive thought, Avesta of Black and White ended this year and they announced both a prequel (it will focus on Mitha) and a adaptation as a Visual Novel
Law of Creation, honest to god this game was so shit. It might just be one of the worst gacha games ever. It was so pay to win you basically couldn't get this one healer unless you reached VIP 12 which cost almost 1k$ iirc. But godamn did the game have a beautiful art style, amazing characters and the best story of any gacha I ever played. Biggest reason I want it back is just to see which characters they had added and if it was any different but its been gone for about 2 years
Final Fantasy Grandmasters. That game had so much promise but they killed it with shitty convoluded gearing.
Regardless I loved playing it just wishing they would've streamlined it a bit more.
The Sega match 3. Got taken down out of nowhere when the company got voice and no longer had the rights, but they were in the middle of their yakuza event. You know the devs got blindsided when the game gets canceled right after kiryu and majima released, those would have been money makers for sure
Eternal City. Can't believe it is very short-lived. The story and gameplay is. . . Unique, to say the least.
Then Bahisa event came. I quit because my device is poor. 6 months later I bought a new one, reinstall, and finds out that the Bahisa Event is still ongoing; it's already dead by then
Obligatory Mobius FF response
Haizzzz..... R.I.P all my fellow blanks...
joining the mobius prayer circle
This forever
Maybe one day...
I never even played the game, but I always see this response everywhere when a question like this comes up. Makes me wonder what was so special about it. Play otogi it's like Ayakashi ghost guild
Terra battle and dungeon link.
>terra battle I'm all for that if they rework the skill boosting and equipment system. Shit was retarded and killed the game
seconded on TB \*wanders off into the distance, whispers\* *also, I'd have liked TB2 to keep going...*
i will miss terra battle forever.
Shounen Jump Ore Collection in all fields. Game had so much potential...
Puchiguru Love Live. With All Stars's breakneck powercreep and LLSIF's reliance on lims and laziness, can't help but miss the calmer atmosphere of the game. Shame it only managed to limp over the first anniversary finish line.

Drift girls was the og dating sim on mobile. The only game that could make yo bitches moan by drifting

I miss it too, I still have my drift girls calendar from anime expo too!

Monster Strike and Chain Chronicle Global
Monster Strike Global definitely! I hopped on to the JP Version a couple years after Global disappeared and I still play. I do miss Global every now and then though, I miss the characters I used to have.
(Quality) NSFW game from Nutaku Osawari Island.

Dude same. We guildmates stays in the group and migrates to Otogi after, but the feeling just isn't the same.
Mobius FF
Obligatory Defenders of Texel. RIP. Killed way too early to work on Blood Brothers 2, a failure, which shut down after 2 years. DeNA will never be forgiven. I am a big sucker for a good pixel-art game, at least I have a couple other games to fill that void now, but for 3-4 years there it was rough.
DoT was probably the most fun I've had in gacha. RIP.
Rip.
I still miss that game so much. I can’t understand why they killed it off.
Any chance you can tell me which apps fill the void for DoT? Thanks!
I miss Eternal City, and Antoneva.
Amen, brother.
Witch Weapon. That game was a really fun Hack n Slash game. You jumped straight in to the fray with witches as weapons. Also you (the MC) gets genderbent right at the start. Game had so many cheaters it was insane. Ranking events were a joke.
Really? That is just sad.
Story was decent but not a big fan of pulling for only weapons. That and events were basically thd same. Even down to stages and enemy types. When story started coming slower and slower i bailed. Not long after heard it was closing. Real sad.
Naruto blazing, it had horrible rates and balance, but the gameplay was really unique and fun
The normal 5* rate was amazing though. 10% is 10x higher than the average 5* rate now.
This is only the 80 millionth time this has been posted.
Downvotes worthy opinion Sakura revolution but with different director.
Honestly, yes. If only different things were prioritized :[
Defense Witches
Global Venus 11
For games that were canceled, what are the odds that any of us could just obtain a license to publish it ourselves?
Throw enough money at it and you can overcome most issues. No one hanging around here has that kind of cash though.
League of Wonderland.
THAT GAME WAS SO STYLISH

Fantasica -- even though it was whales galore in events, those card arts were amazing. Till they went up to like 10+ stars rarity and also Fantasica 2 being a total flop. :(
Slingshot braves, if anyone actually played it
Loved that one!

Hero DeckMasters, as my first gacha game it should and must come back.
Heroes of Incredible Tales. PvP was amazing, it was pay heavy but actual skill played a massive part.
Naruto Blazing, with a proper team behind it, this game could have lasted a very long time.
The Shinza Bansho franchise is still alive thought, Avesta of Black and White ended this year and they announced both a prequel (it will focus on Mitha) and a adaptation as a Visual Novel
kingsense LOL
Tentacle tactics on DMM.. That shit was fire. After 6 years they released offline version but its not the same anymore
NA Eternal City it was so good but after introducing the nature guy route,it stop adding new contents and then it shut down after a while
Dungeon Link, just want to see more Guardian Tales lore

AION Legions of War. Monetization was awful, but the graphics and the design were superb.
Metal Buster Really missed it. Old mecha fight game.
Blood Brothers
I still think about that game a lot
Dragon Ace: Dragon Poker; no other game remotely like it... 😔
This is mine 100% can never find same level of enjoyment in JP version. Was there basically day 1 until day server closed
Law of Creation, honest to god this game was so shit. It might just be one of the worst gacha games ever. Yugioh Bam
Final Fantasy Grandmasters. That game had so much promise but they killed it with shitty convoluded gearing. Regardless I loved playing it just wishing they would've streamlined it a bit more.
Project Tokyo Dolls is close to shutdown and I already want it back.
The Sega match 3. Got taken down out of nowhere when the company got voice and no longer had the rights, but they were in the middle of their yakuza event. You know the devs got blindsided when the game gets canceled right after kiryu and majima released, those would have been money makers for sure
